Liam
Nate is driving us home. I am in the passenger seat with a sleeping Jessica on my lap and a smirking Mike squeezed between myself and the driver’s seat—like a very annoying third wheel.
He is looking at me with a look I know all too well, the one that decorates his face like a huge "fuck you" full of mischief.
I chuckle, my gaze turning back to Jessica. She did so well, my pretty girl. "I would have shared if you'd asked me nicely," I say, making both men laugh.
"You know this isn’t how I planned to punish you, but I am not pissed about it," Nate informs me, and I laugh again.
"It’s true. He actually wanted to kill the girl," Mike points out. It’s not a surprise.
"I did, but I’m glad I didn’t," Nate admits. "She was definitely a fun time."
I smile, stroking her hair. Sharing hasn’t been something I liked, but surprisingly, it was fun. I didn’t mind it at all, which surprised even me.
As we arrive at the house, Nate gets out of the car first. He circles it and comes to my door.
I open it, and he lifts Jessica from my arms. I don’t like the fact that he takes her away from me, but at the same time, I love the care in his movements.
He is behaving toward her the same way he does with my brother.
That alone is a clue that the guys are just as obsessed with her now.
This woman has something addictive about her.
It’s easy to enter instant-obsession territory with just a "hello" from her. Now that they’ve had a taste of her?
I would be surprised if any of us could walk away without second-guessing it.
And even if we eventually do—which we probably will have to—it will break us all.
"Are you sure you don’t want us to take her to her house?" Mike asks, his voice low so he doesn't wake her up.
I shake my head. She isn’t happy there, and I am not ready to let her go. Now that the guys know about her, there is absolutely no fucking reason to spend a moment away from her.
"Take her to my room." My bed is bigger, and I can tell the guys aren't planning to leave her either. I follow Nate and Mike as they carry our sleeping girl to my room.
When we arrive, Nate stands by the bathroom door, waiting for us to get the shower ready for Jessica. She is dirty and covered in cum. A shower is much needed.
Mike grabs a pair of boxers and a t-shirt that will be far too big for Jessica, but luckily, it will cover enough for her to feel comfortable. I step into the bathroom and turn on the water, shedding my clothes before moving closer to Nate and Jessica.
Gently shaking Jessica’s sleeping body, I whisper, "Time to wake up, sweetheart. We need to clean you up."
Her eyes flutter open, and she mumbles a quiet response as I take her from Nate’s arms. I carry her into the shower and step under the spray.
The warm water hits our skin with a soothing effect.
A sweet little moan escapes her—she must be feeling sore.
I help her stand, and Mike steps into the shower with us.
I’ll admit this is more than I want to see of my brother, but at this point, the twisted situation just makes sense.
He pours some shampoo into her hair and washes it while I use the shower gel on her body. She leans against him as we clean her. When we’re done, Nate is waiting outside with a towel to wrap around her.
He helps her into the bedroom and into my clothes. She looks amazing, even in a man’s t-shirt and boxers. I can’t stop this sudden sense of happiness from washing over me. I look around at my family taking care of her, and in this moment, I have everything I could ever wish for.
I am not the type of man to get attached to a woman.
I have gone through so much loss in my life that attachment is never the goal.
But this woman has something else—something different and unique that I can never quite put my finger on.
It's more of a feeling than a specific quality.
What makes her unique are the emotions she ignites inside me.
She crawls under the covers, and I follow, pulling them over both of us.
I open my arms, and she slides right in.
Observing the room, I watch the two men exchange a series of looks before they both move toward the bed.
Mike climbs in next to Jessica, and Nate settles right behind him.
Nate wraps Mike in a tight embrace, and Mike kisses his lips as a form of goodnight.
We fall asleep, and it is as peaceful as I could have imagined—the first night any of us has gotten a decent sleep since coming to this town. Maybe even the first peaceful night after years of blood and horror.
