Deadly Lessons at Luminary

Lia Michaels can pick almost any lock and slip into most computer systems, but years of trouble have sent her bouncing between foster homes and juvenile hall.

An experimental school called Luminary Prep still accepts her, surprising her with a place on a lavish campus built to upend traditional academics.

State-of-the-art labs, extravagant meals, and grounds that feel too perfect to be real make Luminary look like the break she needs, provided she can become one of only five students permitted to graduate.

Then the coursework turns lethal: Physics hides a deadly obstacle course, Chemistry exams involve explosives, and Political Science keeps guillotines in the room.

Classmates start disappearing, and Lia wonders whether the school means to graduate five students—or simply keep five of them alive.
