Death By Cupcakes (Deadly Obsession #1)

By Anneke Boshoff

Prologue

How could he?

He told me he loved me and left me on my doorstep while he went off with his wife. He left me waiting for him while he was pleasing his wife. The bitch kept him from me. I gave him everything. Why leave me? He told me we would be together forever and that he loved only me.

I don’t even feel heartbroken about what’s happening. They need to pay for my heartbreak. For my humiliation. For the loss of my family because I gave him a chance.

“Please–” I smirk as his wife stares at me. She can beg all she wants. If I can’t have him, no one will.

“Did he tell you everything we did? How he fucked me against the shower while you were out of town. How he bent me over his desk and took me from behind? How he made love to me in your bed. How he promised me that he would leave you and I would get to spend my life with him.”

I giggle as the tears run down her cheeks.

She didn’t know her husband was a freak and he did things to me that he never would do to her. She doesn’t deserve him.

“Mmm…” He thrashes around, and I shake my head.

“Don’t worry, this will all be over soon.”

I pick up the knife lying on the kitchen counter and press the tip of my finger to the blade's tip.

“You see, I’m a broken girl…” I point the blade at him.

“All because of you.” I stalk over to the wife and press the blade to her throat.

“He came back to you. Every night after he made love to me, he went back to you.”

I press the blade a little tighter against her neck.

“So all this is worth it.” I slice the blade across her neck, splitting her skin.

I watch as the blood drips out of the cut onto the floor.

“Mmmm…” He trashes around on the ground, and I laugh as I walk over to him. I straddle his lap and grind myself against him. He can say and do what he wants, but he gets hard every single time.

“I don’t feel a fucking thing for you anymore.”

I press the blade to his throat. “You won’t die that easily.”

I pull a syringe out and wave it in front of his face.

“You will die slowly. When anyone notices you’re missing, I’ll be gone and starting a new life.”

I press the needle into his neck and inject him with the liquid.

His eyes grow wide, and I know it’s burning him as far as it goes.

I get off of him and smile at the two dead people. Never mess with me. I have nothing to lose. I grab my keys and walk away.

I will have to find a new town and a new life.
