Chapter 16 Blue

Blue

Green…Marcus now, carries me from the bathroom after he helped clean me up again and sets me on the bed where the other two wait.

They surround me. Warm skin against mine on every side as they stroke my skin gently, giving me the sweet aftercare that rarely comes with random hook-ups.

It’s so damn good to be touched like this.

Not the sex part, even though that was fantastic.

The after, the cuddling and soft touches that I never allow.

I’m always the hit ‘em and quit ‘em girl. Scratch the itch and then bolt but these three assholes have wormed their way past those defenses in a way no one ever has. I think over all the things they’ve told me tonight, all that they’re offering me as I lay in their arms.

Andre’s knuckles graze my skin in a way that makes me shiver.

“Beautiful,” he whispers, his voice reverent in a way that makes my heart lurch.

They’re stripping me bare, layer by layer and I ignore the warning bells in my head for just this moment.

They’ve bulldozed through my defenses. I should fight it, grab the basket and run, but fuck, it feels so good right here that I push those thoughts away.

When Damon brushes my hair back and places a soft sweet kiss on my forehead, the warning bells get louder and the first stirrings of panic start to buzz inside me.

“They’re not going to let me go easy,” a dark voice in my head tells me.

My pulse starts racing as I meet their gazes, each one burning with a different kind of feeling.

.. Is that hope? Fuck, I don’t know if I want them to but…

“You think you can handle it… us?” Marcus murmurs against my ear, his breath hot, his fingers sweeping over my stomach as my panic grows. He must see the spiral that’s starting inside me. “Breathe, Blue,” he murmurs, his voice soothing, but it doesn’t help.

This is too much, it feels too good. My mind is reeling as my body stiffens between them.

They’re owning me, claiming me, and I’d fucking love it if I was built for that.

This is too deep, too risky. It could derail all my plans if it didn’t work out.

The stakes are too high to let that happen.

I made a promise to a ghost and I can’t let anything get in the way of that.

“You’re ours now,” Andre growls, his hand tightening in my hair like he can read everything going through my head. “No running, Blue. Not anymore.”

A small sound of denial squeaks out of me by accident and I see something that shocks me flash across his eyes, sadness.

It’s gone so fast I convince myself it wasn’t there when he nods and hits me with a soft smile of understanding and then rolls away to the other side of the bed.

He comes back with a glass of water. “It’s okay, baby.

We know it’s a lot and you need some space to process it and decide.

” He presses the glass of water to my lip so I can drink.

“You’re perfect, Blue,” Damon murmurs, kissing my forehead. “Ours.”

Andre leans over me as I take another drink, buying time to sort through the shit storm in my mind. His eyes are filled with challenge and a smirk tugs those sexy plush lips of his. “Come play, Blue. Come win with us.”

I sip the water again as things start to soften, to blur, my eyelids heavy, the warmth of their bodies lulling me.

But as I drift, a bitter edge to the water hits my tongue too late.

No, screams through my mind, panic spiking as my limbs grow heavy.

“You…you…,” I slur, my voice fading as I slump against Green.

Black’s smirk is the last thing I see, his voice a low taunt.

“You conned our hearts, Blue. Come find us.” Darkness swallows me as they all pull away.
