Epilogue

ROMAN

It’s been two years, and sitting around eating breakfast with my three people still makes me have to take a minute sometimes—just pause, fork halfway to my mouth, and remind myself this is real, that they’re mine. That I get to have this every single day for the rest of my life.

An hour ago, I had my palms pressed flat against the shower wall, Zeke’s mouth hot at my ear—telling me how tight I was, how good I felt around his cock, and calling me his good boy like he fucking owned me.

Addie was pinned between the tiles and Jasper’s chest, her legs locked around his waist as he rocked into her, his thrusts turning her feral.

We were close enough that I could feel her breath on my neck, tilt my head, and drag my mouth along her shoulder while Jasper reached blindly for my hand and laced our fingers together.

There’s something so beautiful about giving yourself over and trusting someone else to guide your body until the rest of the world disappears.

I’ll still pin them down and fuck them raw until there’s no question who they belong to, but handing myself over and letting them claim me…

it’s everything I never knew I was starving for.

Zeke’s phone starts to ring, and he stretches across the kitchen island to grab it, his brows drawing together before answering with a cautious “Hello?”

I’ve got one hand on Addie’s thigh and the other wrapped around a fork, scooping up another bite of the scrambled eggs she made for us this morning. She’s in my lap, wearing nothing but one of my T-shirts, and her skin’s still warm from the shower we dragged her into before breakfast.

“Damn, angel, this is so good.”

She laughs softly, her head resting against my shoulder. “It’s literally the same thing I made yesterday.”

“And yesterday’s eggs were perfect too,” Jasper adds from across the island, smirking as he lifts his coffee to his lips.

“Well, I won’t be making them tomorrow because I’ve got a bunch of indie books arriving first thing in the morning, so I’ll be at the store early.”

“Are you serious?” Zeke’s voice punches through the room.

He shoots up from his stool, slowly backing away from the counter.

The phone’s still to his ear, but his other hand moves to his hair, pushing through it roughly.

His bare chest rises and falls too fast, and something cold snakes down my spine.

My fork hits the plate.

Addie sits up straighter.

Jasper stops chewing mid-bite.

Someone’s hurt.

Something’s wrong.

When he ends the call, he just stands there, clutching his phone. I ease Addie from my lap, ready to go to him and hold him up if he needs it.

“What is it?” Jasper asks, worry etched across his face.

But Zeke’s face breaks into the biggest smile I’ve ever seen, and now I’m just fucking confused.

“You’re scaring me,” Addie says, her brows pinching as she steps closer to him.

“That was…” He blows out a shaky breath while the three of us stare at him. “That was Victoria.”

“Victoria from the agency?” I ask.

My heart’s going a mile a minute like it already knows, and Zeke gives the smallest nod, his lips parting as if he can’t believe it himself.

“What did she say?”

“She called because… we’ve been matched.”

Addie’s hands fly to her mouth, and Jasper bolts up and steps forward, both hands buried in his hair as he looks between all of us in shock.

“Wait, wait—matched? Like, matched matched?” he asks.

Zeke nods again, and his voice cracks when he says, “With twin boys.”

“You’re serious?” Addie asks, and Zeke nods, pulling her into his body.

“They’re just over a month old,” he murmurs, his lips brushing hers, “and they’re ours.”

Addie cries into his neck, and Jasper crashes into me, grabbing my face and kissing me hard before pulling back and pressing his forehead to mine.

“We’re gonna be dads, Rome.”

With his chest pressed against mine, I let myself feel everything—the hope that’s been quietly building inside me for months, ever since we first talked about growing our family.

The fear that’s always been there too, whispering that maybe this would never happen for us.

But beneath it all is the overwhelming, all-consuming love I have for Zeke, Addie, and Jasper.

“This is really happening,” he says, and his voice cracks just enough to make my throat burn.

“Yeah, it is.” I close my eyes and breathe him in before I pull back and turn to Addie.

I wrap her up from behind and press my lips to the top of her head before leaning in and catching Zeke’s jaw with my lips.

“You’re going to be the most amazing mom,” I whisper in her ear, feeling her melt into us.

Jasper’s wiping at his eyes, Zeke still has his arms locked around Addie like he’ll never let go, and I’m just standing here in awe of the life we’ve built.

“How long until we can bring them home?” I ask.

“A month, maybe two,” Zeke answers, and the four of us just stand there, wrapped up in each other, as the full weight of it settles in—our whole world is about to change.

“God, I’m going to be even more outnumbered.” Addie sniffles, laughing through her tears. “I can’t wait to see them in their little jerseys when I bring them to your games.”

Two sons cheering us on with their beautiful mom—yeah, I can definitely get used to that picture.

Tiny hands clapping from the stands, Addie pointing us out on the ice and teaching them which numbers to look for as we skate by.

The thought of it makes my chest tight with something I can’t even name, but I want every second of it.

I look at the three people I’d walk through fire for, and I still can’t believe we’re about to add to this love, making space for two tiny heartbeats that already belong to us.

Not born of our blood but meant for us all the same.

Five hearts.

Five pieces of my soul.

And every single one owns me in a way I never want back.
