Defiant Omega in Heat

Defiant Omega in Heat

By Tessa Harlan

Chapter 1

“How much farther, Eri?”

Blessed Source, these alpha boys can be so impatient. And do they really think they’ll get into an omega’s loincloth by whining like that?

Oh well… let them think they will. Alphas are always so gullible at this age. Always thinking with their dicks and not their brains.

“Not much farther,” I say, loading my voice with honey. “I promise.”

We are walking together through the woods, my three alpha admirers and me.

The trees in this part of the Zone were already ancient before the time of the Great Cataclysm.

Some are as tall as the buildings in the Central Ruins.

Their limbs tangle into a lacework of greenery that blocks out all but a smattering of the hot, midday sun.

The shaded air is laden with the fertile smell of the forest: soil, mushrooms, decaying leaves…

And horny male sweat.

The young alphas trot along behind me like a trio of lost pups.

They claim to be twenty-five—at least that’s what they told me when I first met them an hour ago, fishing by a stream—but of course I know better than that.

The sparse hair on their faces and chests suggests they are closer to my own age of nineteen.

Plus, they have barely any piercings at all.

I bet none of them are pierced beneath those leather loincloths they’re wearing. They’re not real alphas like my—

“Are you sure your alphas won’t be home?”

The alphas to whom he is referring are not my mates. If anything, they are more like fathers to me, though that isn’t quite right either. Not technically.

I use the word that comes naturally:

“My daddies went out hunting,” I tell him. “They won’t be home ’til sundown.”

I place a reassuring hand on his chest and let it slowly slide downward. He grins, emboldened.

“Your daddies should know better than to leave such a pretty young omega to fend for herself.”

I play along: “Are these woods dangerous?”

“They can be, omega. But don’t worry, my friends and I will protect you.

” He glances around, looking into the deep, cool shadows on either side of the trail.

“But if your fathers are going to be gone for a while, there’s no rush to get you home.

These woods offer many places to hide. Places where no one will catch us. ”

My fingers pause at the top of his loincloth, the front of which has started lifting noticeably.

“Catch us doing what?” I ask, ever so innocently.

Before he has a chance to answer, I spin away from him and continue strutting down the path toward home, swinging my hips way more than necessary.

I’m giving the alpha boys quite a show.

The outfit I’m wearing today is an old one.

I outgrew it many seasons ago, but I held onto it for occasions such as this.

The little breechcloth is so skimpy, it doesn’t even reach the bottom of my butt, and the front flap barely covers what it’s supposed to.

The top is so tight, it smushes my boobs together, making them look even bigger and rounder than they really are.

I turn and glance back at the three young alphas behind me. Their jaws are practically on their chests, and their loincloths have become miniature pup tents between their legs.

I pretend not to notice.

“Well, what are you waiting for?” I say with a giggle. “Don’t you want to take me home? It will be so much more comfortable there. So many soft places for us to… play.”

That gets them moving again, like the good little puppies they are.

My heart is going thump-thump-thump! with excitement, and my tummy is full of flutters.

Not because I’m looking forward to letting these three young alphas have their way with me.

That is not going to happen, despite all my signals to the contrary.

I’m excited because I’m thinking about what’s really going to happen after we get home.

Earlier, I said my daddies went hunting and wouldn’t be back ’til sundown. The first part is true.

The second, well…

When they were setting out this morning, my alpha protectors promised they would be home at exactly one hour past noon, and they never break a promise.

They will be returning home shortly after I arrive with these three young fools in tow.

Just enough of a time difference for them to catch us in a truly incriminating position.

Not mating, of course… but perhaps not quite fully clothed either.

My daddies won’t be happy about that. Oh no, they won’t be happy at all.

Thump-thump!

I don’t know why it excites me so much, watching my protectors go all feral on the boys I bring home. There’s just something about the way Knar roars. The way big Bjor beats his chest. The way the veins pop out all over Renn’s arms. It just makes me feel all… all…

I get so distracted searching for the right word, I completely forget to watch where I’m going. My foot catches on a wayward root twisting across the path, and I go down hard. The three young alphas rush to help me.

“Omega! Are you okay?”

I quickly recover, rising to my knees and bracing my hands against the bare thighs of the nearest alpha. The position is more than a little suggestive. I lick my lips and stare up at him with eyes full of sin.

“Oh my,” I breathe. “How clumsy of me.”

“You must be more careful, little omega.”

But he doesn’t offer to help me up. I think he likes me right where I am. I humor him.

“Must have gotten distracted,” I whisper, “thinking of all the wicked things you and your friends are going to do to me when we get home.”

This time, the thing beneath his loincloth doesn’t twitch—it flat out jumps. When I stand up, I can feel it prodding my tummy, warm and hard. It excites me, but not for the reasons it ought to.

“Perhaps I should carry you,” the young alpha says.

“Carry?” I quirk a teasing brow. “No, I think you’d better chase me instead…”

I spin away from him with a playful laugh and take off running at a full sprint.

I am fast for an omega, faster even than some of the alphas my age, and the three who are chasing me now are hampered by their own arousal.

It can’t be easy to run when you’re smuggling a piece of wood in your loincloth.

“Hey!” one of them calls behind me. “Wait up!”

“You want me?” I shout back. “You’re gonna have to catch me!”

I pump my legs faster, racing and weaving between the trees, bounding over the understory where it blocks my way, sunlight blinking at me through the gaps in the canopy high above. My long hair lifts behind me as if blown by the wind. My feet barely seem to touch the ground.

Sweet Source, it feels so good to run like this.

And it feels even better to be chased. I used to run from my daddies when I was younger.

Not because I wanted to get away from them, mind you.

Because I wanted them to catch me. It used to be my favorite game for a while.

Then my body started changing, and boys started staring, and I found an even better game to play.

I glance back at the three young alphas who are chasing me now.

The exercise has done nothing to soften the ardor straining between their legs. All three of them are jutting as proudly as ever, and their eyes are practically glowing with prey drive. If I let them catch me now, it would probably take more than just words to fend them off.

I think about my daddies, how angry they will be.

The thought sets off another flurry of butterflies inside me, but this time the sensation isn’t isolated to my tummy.

It spreads throughout my entire body, touching other parts of me that have no business activating at the thought of my older alpha protectors.

It throbs between my legs and tingles in the tips of my breasts. Oh Source…

The feelings are so intoxicating, I don’t even notice the massive figure blocking the path until it’s too late.

I try to stop, but my feet slide on the leaf litter.

My momentum carries me forward, slamming me straight into a solid wall of muscle and skin.

The impact forces all the air from my lungs, and I tumble onto my butt, dazed and startled.

Then I catch the scent.

It’s male, but it doesn’t smell like the boys who are chasing me. Doesn’t smell like my daddies either. It’s a scent I’ve never smelled before, but I recognize it immediately. An ugly, goatish musk that makes my stomach turn.

I lift my eyes to stare at the misshapen thing towering above me, and I immediately want to look away, but my eyes won’t let me. My whole body is temporarily frozen in fear.

“Well, well, well,” the Farlander growls. “What have we here?”
