29. Chapter Twenty-Nine
It’s been two weeks since the Havoc’s loss.
Now that Thad is officially behind bars for stalking and harassment, and unable to make bail, we can finally rest easy. His story did in fact make the front page. Just not how he wanted it.
Viktor is finally taking my advice and having the team over for a get together. Originally I was told that I’m not allowed to call it a celebration because of the loss but the girls and I convinced the guys that their season is still a win. Their team is still worth celebrating.
Claire is bringing the baby and I can’t wait to get those baby snuggles in. I spent a lot of time with her in the hospital since the team was back and forth to San Francisco and her own family isn’t close by. I’ve fallen in love with little Sonny and it just makes me want our baby here faster .
Viktor rubs my belly as he stands behind me, hindering any work I’m trying to get done.
Approaching the third trimester of this pregnancy means that my belly is taking up more space than anticipated. The amount of times I knock things over with the baby bump is unreal. I constantly misjudge distance.
“Liten B?nne are you being good to your mama today?” At the sound of his daddy’s voice he kicks at his hand.
Getting to feel the kicks of our baby is one of the greatest pleasures in life.
“He’s happy you guys are getting together tonight.”
“So am I. Thank you for pushing us. Thank you for supporting me even when I wasn’t the best to be around.”
I spin in his arms, standing on my tiptoes to place a kiss on his lips. “You’re always the one I want to be around.”
He wraps his arms around me as the first guest arrives, ruining my chance to satisfy my insatiable appetite that I have for this man.
Good thing I get to have him for the rest of my life.
