Epilogue
KALLIE
Six Months Later
It’s finally here. The Frost wedding. The wedding that will potentially put Bloomhaus on the map. Today is the day.
It’s hard to believe that six months have passed since Evren and I reconciled. Six months of absolute blissful happiness. Six months of love and support and building the foundation for our own happily ever after.
Have there been bumps and stumbles? Of course. A mate bond doesn’t snap into place and fix a lifetime of history.
It turns out, I’m a bit of a control freak when it comes to asking for help.
Who knew?
And Evren? Turns out my sweet romantic mate is a little possessive of me. Which may or may not be my fault. I did push him away for several weeks in a fruitless effort to keep him safe.
But we’re making it work. Growing together, supporting and loving each other more with each passing day. I am more thankful than words can express for finding a demon on deck during a cruise I fought not to go on.
Today is a big day for me and my business, and Evren is here with me at stupid o’clock in the morning to help load flowers into the delivery truck.
Grey is en route to the venue and will wait for us to get there before starting the final touches on the space.
I’m determined to make this wedding flawless, not just because it could be incredible for business, but because Grace and Jackson have become friends.
My nerves at the thought of disappointing them are high, but that’s not what has my hands sweating.
“Evren?”
“Yeah, Doll,” he says, hefting the 80 pounds worth of roses like they weigh no more than a feather. He sets them next to the back door, then turns to me.
He must see something, likely my nerves, on my face.
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” I say, smiling as emotions rise like a wave. “I love you.”
He wraps his arms around me and tugs me close. “I love you too. My beautiful mate.” He says, kissing the top of my head. I soak in his warmth before stepping back, holding his hands and gazing into blazing orange eyes that will never fail to mesmerize me.
“You are the love of my life, the fire of my soul, the sun that helps me grow, and the rhythm my heart beats to. You are my every hope and dream and desire come true, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. We’re bonded in the custom of your people.
But I want you to have my mark too. Will you marry me? ”
“Yes,” he says, pulling me in to kiss me passionately. When we break apart, we’re both smiling.
He cups my face and kisses me softly. “I guess we have a wedding to plan,” I say, before adding, “After I finish this one.”
Evren laughs before kissing me thoroughly. “Oh, I think I might have an idea for that,” he says with a mischievous smirk.
