CHAPTER 15 FIZ

FIZ

That went better than I thought it would. Piece of cake. Don’t I just have the best ideas? She’s guaranteed now. Do I think for one moment she’ll uphold her end of the deal? Absolutely not. That’s what makes it so perfect. We’ll get to beat her into shape for the rest of her sorry life.

My contribution to that can start this morning.

Cade’s making Alf go back to work, but he still doesn’t trust Elodie to stay in the house on her own.

Alf tried to get Cade to agree to letting Elodie go to work with him, but he said no.

Cade’s jealous as fuck at the way she is with Alf.

There’s immediate compliance with him. If Cade and I had that sort of patience, she’d probably be like that with us too, but we don’t. Far from.

Caden doesn’t want to bring her with him for whatever reason, my guess is he doesn’t trust himself.

I’ve seen that little glimmer in his eye when he looks at her.

The predatory gleam he gets when he finds fresh meat.

I don’t care what he said the other day, the little minx wants a taste of that pussy, and I don’t blame him.

So, that leaves me. Little Elodie gets to keep me company for the day. I can’t help myself when Alfie goes upstairs to inform her of the plans. I hide behind the door and wait for the tantrum.

“It’s only for a couple hours and then you’ll be straight back here,” Alf says.

“No fucking way.”

I cover my mouth to stifle my chuckle as I lean against the wall outside, listening to her whining.

“You don’t have a choice here, El, I’m sorry but it’s Cade’s orders.”

“Why do you obey him like one of your dogs?”

Gees, that’s bold.

To Alfie’s credit, he doesn’t bite. “It’s called respect, El, and Cade’s earned a lot of it. It’d do you good to find some.”

“Not for that animal. Not for the other one either.”

How charming.

Alfie sighs, long, slow and patient. “Listen, I really have to go. I only came to tell you what’s happening, this isn’t a negotiation. Get dressed and be ready in ten.”

“No!”

I take that as my cue. I do a half circle, coming into view, and lean on the doorjamb. “Oh, come on, Sleeping Beauty, we’ll have so much fun. I promise I won’t bite you… straight away.”

Elodie’s standing on the other side of the bed, arms folded, chin dipped, looking all bratty and beautiful. She ignores me.

I push off the doorframe and waltz inside. “You best listen to your boyfriend, ready in ten minutes. Or shall I help you?”

“You’re not coming near me.”

I bite down on my growing smile. “Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, we’re going to be near each other for the next few hours, so it’s up to you how we spend them. If you’re a good little girl, I’ll buy you an ice cream on the way home.”

Her eyes shift to Alfie, standing in front of her a few feet away. “Please, don’t make me.”

I roll my eyes and step forward. “Your hero isn’t going to save you this time.

You can either come with me willingly, or I have a nice pair of handcuffs I can use to attach you to me.

I can get everything done I need to with you shackled to me.

The choice is yours. I’ll give you five seconds to get your little ass in that bathroom before I make that choice for you. ”

She stands solid, her scowl deepening at me.

I shrug. “Five.”

She snarls.

“Four.”

“El,” Alf says.

She doesn’t take her eyes off me.

“They’re fluffy too.” I wink. She doesn’t blink. “Three.”

“He will do it too.”

Her eyes break from mine to look at her boyfriend.

“Two.”

“Okay, okay!” She drops her arms and starts storming to the bathroom. “Fine. I’ll go.”

She slams the bathroom door and Alfie’s shoulders drop.

He runs a hand down his face. “God, this girl is impossible.”

“I think she’s great,” I say, falling on the bed and cocking my legs up.

Alf starts towards the door but turns back just before leaving. “Be fucking nice to her. If she doesn’t give you grief, don’t give her any. Don’t give her any ammo, okay? Promise me, Fiz.”

I roll my eyes and make a cross over my heart. “Fucking hope to die, you melt.”

“I mean it, Fiz, if she’s good, let her be good. Let’s just have a bit of peace in this house.”

He’s getting jittery again. He’s pacing at the door, throwing his hands wildly as he speaks, his eyes are going all weird again. I may like chaos, but I don’t like Alfred Annihilation.

I push my palms out. “Calm down, psycho. We’ll be peachy. Fuck off and go punch something.”

He pretty much snarls in response and then disappears.

I blow out a long breath. I’ve noticed he’s been more on edge since Elodie got here.

I thought maybe it was for the same reasons as me and Caden.

New pussy, forbidden to touch for two weeks.

But I don’t know, it feels more than that.

Like he’s walking that tightrope again, on a wobbly line to falling into a relapse.

It’s not a place we want Alfie Blackwood to be.

I wait for Elodie to leave the bathroom. To my delight, she’s in nothing but a towel.

“What are you doing?” she squeals, clutching the hem of her towel around her chest. “Get out!”

I just smirk at her. “I’m just here for the show.”

“There is no show, get out.”

I drop my legs from the bed and straighten up, stalking towards her, relishing the sparkle of discomfort and apprehension in her eyes.

“Don’t come near me, Fiz,” she warns, and the ferocity in her voice, her stance, has my blood heating.

I halt a few feet away. “I wasn’t going to,” I say innocently, then continue my approach. I don’t go to her, I veer off to the wardrobe, picking her an outfit.

I can feel her fear, the anxiety, the nerves pulsating off her, feeding my ego, my arousal, my whole being. I could feast on it.

I lay the clothes out on the bed and turn to her, giving her a saccharine smile. “Just wanted to help you out.”

She stands there, still clutching the towel, still staring at me, braced for me to do something.

I back away toward the door. “Five minutes, Sleeping Beauty, then the fun really begins.”

***

“I’m not sitting in a car with that thing.”

“Well, you are, and you’re doing it right now. Don’t make me start counting again.”

Elodie shuffles from foot to foot, looking like Alfie twenty minutes ago. “He’s scary.”

I gasp. Dropping to my knees and cupping Bob’s face, I give it a wiggle.

“This face is scary?! How dare you, this is the biggest cutie you’ll ever lay eyes on.

Sure,” I bob my head side to side, “he may have mauled a few limbs, perhaps clawed some facial features off of skulls, but he really is a teddy bear, ain’t that right, Bobby?

” I smother his nose in kisses. He gives a little bark in agreement.

She still doesn’t look convinced, and I really don’t have the time or the desire to coddle her. I straighten up and walk to my car, dig out my bag and throw it to her. She catches it with a yelp.

“This is Bobby’s goodie bag. As long as you’ve got that, you hold the power. Give him as many treats as you want, he’s a fat fuck anyway. Come on, let’s go.”

She peeps into the bag and assesses the contents. Just before my last string of patience snaps, she moves sheepishly to the car. Bob’s eyes are glued to the bag and he follows, basically treading on her heels.

“See? He loves you, now get in, chop chop.”

They both climb in the back, and I drive down the gravel path toward the front gates, which buzz open at my approach.

I’m watching her through my mirror, catching her stealing glances out the window before slinging them back on Bob. Drawn to both the mesmerising view of the forests and mountains and keeping an eye on the beast she’s convinced is going to eat her. I can’t hide my amusement.

“Where even is this house?”

“Middle of nowhere. First neighbours are like thirty minutes away. Gated, secured, cameras at every angle.”

I give her this as a hint, you will never escape, princess.

Bob moves closer to her, so she uses the bag as a shield, whipping it up between them.

“Give him something,” I coax.

She blindly reaches into the bag and pulls out a treat. She hands it out to Bob, who takes it gently.

“Good boy,” I say.

This seems to ease the tension in her small frame slightly. My dick presses against my jeans. It’s been hard since I walked into Cade’s bedroom. Boy, this is either going to be a lot of fun, or a fucking headache.
