42. Lachlan #3
“Breathe, Lainey. We can stop if you need to.”
She shook her head, her eyes still closed but her smile growing. I felt her hips move, just enough to have me biting the inside of my cheek to keep still. And then she moved with more purpose, until I was fully seated inside her.
“Oh, Lach…” she moaned, her chest heaving with the heaviness of her desire. “I want…”
“Use me,” I begged. “Please, baby.”
Her hands landed against my chest, nails raking through my chest hair down to my flesh, every scratch setting my nerves ablaze. She rocked, my fingers pressing into her hips, helping hold the pace she was setting so perfectly.
“Fuck,” I groaned, releasing my hold on her to let my finger slip between, rubbing back and forth against her clit.
“You’re going to come for me, again, Lainey.
Just like in the barn. Just like when I was eating you out.
I want to hear you scream my name.” She moaned as her head tipped back, lips parting while she sank back down on me.
“That’s it, baby. You deserve this. You deserve to feel so good. You make me feel so good.”
I reached up, using my free hand to rub my thumb across her pebbled nipple. My other hand gently pressed against her hip, slowing the pace just a fraction. I wanted this to be so good for her.
“You feel so good, Lainey. Like every fucking dream I ever had come true.”
My eyes rolled back, hips thrusting up into her as she moaned, and whimpered, and clawed at my shoulders and my chest. Still working her nipple with my thumb, turned on beyond anything I’d ever been before as her milk leaked down my fingers, I used the other hand to circle her clit.
And that’s when I felt it. The moment Lainey’s orgasm slammed into her. Her walls clamped down on me, fluttering around my cock, hurling me over the edge into my own spiral of ecstasy.
She stayed there, on top of me, while we both caught our breath. Until I gently wrapped my arms around her, rolling her to lay down beside me.
“You’re so beautiful. That was everything, Lainey. Everything.” I kissed her, my muscles relaxing as our breathing synchronized.
When I finally came back into my body, I nipped at her shoulder before slipping out of her and rolling away. “I’ll be right back.”
I shuffled to the bathroom, my body more relaxed than it had been in years.
I might have even been able to get away with not using my cane, but I didn’t want to chance it.
The tight muscles in my left leg seemed to have loosened, the dull pain I’d gotten used to being in the background of every day more muted than it had been in years.
She was magic. I threw the condom in the trash, cleaned myself up and headed back into the bedroom with a soft washcloth I’d run under warm water. Only, I didn’t find a blissed-out Lainey lying in our bed.
“Baby…” I cooed as I slipped under the covers beside her.
“I’m fine.” But the tears and the way she hid behind her hands had my stomach souring.
“Did I…did I hurt you? Did I—”
“You did nothing wrong! My God, Lach. That was…” Her breathing slowed as she reached out, threading our fingers together.
“I didn’t know it could be like that. Our kiss…
and then the way you took care of me. And you expected nothing in return when we got home.
You touch me like I’m precious. Like I’m breakable.
Like you would burn the world down just to keep me safe, even if it meant sacrificing yourself. ”
“That’s what love is, Lainey. And I love you. I’m in love with you.”
Her chin quivered before more sobs erupted around us.
“It’s okay if you don’t want to say it again,” I whispered, pushing her hair away from her face. “I know tonight—the last few days—have been a lot. If you changed your mind–”
“Of course I l-love you! H-how could I not?”
I smiled, but my own throat felt raw with the weight of emotions in the room. “Because I’m broken. Because there are better men out there that could provide more to you and Reid.”
Lainey turned into me, her wide, tear-filled eyes looking up from where she was snuggled into my chest.
“I love you. I meant it the very first time I said it, and I mean it now. When I say that, I mean all of you. I love the scars on your leg that are a beautiful reminder of just how much you’ve survived.
Of how much you’ve overcome. Of how incredibly strong you are.
I love your arms, and how safe they make me feel every time you touch me, or wrap them around me.
I love your lips. How they press gently against my forehead when you’re trying to reassure me, and how they fit so perfectly against my own.
” Her hand reached up and ran through my hair.
“But I especially love your mind. I wish it was nicer to you, but I’m here now, and I’ll work every day to show your brain that it doesn’t have to always be on high alert. We’re a team now, right?”
I nodded.
“Good.” She smiled. “You can remind my mind and my body that I’m safe here in your arms, and I’ll always do the same for you.”
