“Calm down!” Robert yelled as he tried to hold Corinthians down.

She wasn’t letting up. She had been fighting since she was dragged into the room.

Robert was mad; I could tell from the way his ears were turning red.

“Calm down!” he smacked her so hard the sounds echoed through the room.

I pulled against my restraints, trying to get to her.

She still didn’t stop, wouldn’t stop; it was like she had one thought in her mind, and that was to get out of here, and I didn’t blame her.

I’d been here for days and didn’t even know what I'd done wrong. Not that it would’ve mattered because Robert found any reason to stick me in here. “Calm down!”

“No!” she yelled, still fighting back. “No!”

At his wits' end, Robert stepped back and pulled his gun from the back of his pants.

He pulled the trigger, shooting close enough to her so that she could feel the heat of the gun but far enough away not to hit her.

Corinthians stopped fighting then; her chest heaved as she stared at him.

Her hair was all over her head, her shirt torn, and her face covered in blood.

“I thought that would get your attention.” Robert chuckled.

“He wiped his hand over his mouth and nodded. “Yeah, you’re feisty today. Why is that, Pet?” Corinthians didn’t answer, which made Robert even angrier; he didn’t like being ignored.

If he asked a question, he expected an answer.

He grabbed her chin and moved her face so that she was looking at him.

“I asked you a question. What has you so feisty?”

“I want to go home,” she answered. “I don’t want to be here.”

“Too fuckin’ bad,” he dismissively said and let her face go.

“You’re here, Pet. Enjoy your time. Make it pleasant for you and me.

” Robert turned and looked at me. His brow went up as his eyes roamed over my body, which made me look down.

My wrist was covered in blood. The metal cuffs had cut into my skin.

“You too?” Robert covered the distance between us and shook his head.

“You are almost perfect. But I have something to fix that.” He patted my cheek, then turned to Logan. “Flip him.”

Logan nodded and got up from the chair he’d been sitting in. He’d brought Corinthians in, and while doing so, she had bitten him. He was missing a chunk of skin from his arm. “What about the cannibal?” He asked, pointing to Corinthians.

“Her too,” Robert said. “Maybe a little time upside down will do her some good.”

“Alright,” Logan replied. He flipped me first, chuckling at the sight of me being helpless.

Robert left, and he turned to Corinthians.

He approached her, grabbed her chin like Robert had, and jerked her face to make her look at him.

“You ever put your mouth on me without my permission again, and I’ll knock your fuckin’ head off your shoulders. ”

“I hate you,” Corinthians said, despite Logan still holding her face.

Logan laughed, one of those deep, scary laughs, then stopped.

“Which is going to make what I do to you that much better.” He turned her face, then licked from her jaw up to her hairline.

“My brother won’t always see you as a Pet.

One day, he will get bored with you, and when he does, you will belong to me.

” He sniffed her hair, then kissed her cheek.

“And I can't wait to hear you scream.” He let her face go, then flipped her table so that she was upside down. “Enjoy your time in the dark.”

“No!” Corinthians yelled, fighting against the restraints. “No! Don’t turn off the lights!”

Logan didn’t care about her pleas or her screaming. If nothing else, he enjoyed the sound of her pain. Laughing, he walked out of the room, making sure to turn off the light and slamming the door shut behind him.

For what felt like forever, Corinthians screamed and begged for the light to be turned on. But she knew just like I did that neither Robert nor Logan were going to come down and turn it on. They never did.

“Cori,” I called her name. She’d been quiet for a while, but I knew she wasn’t asleep. “Cori?”

The sound of rats running around us were loud. That was one of the reasons she hated the dark. The rats came out and, a few times, even bit her. I heard her start to cry.

“Focus on me, Cori,” I told her. “Not the sounds around us. Not the smells, not anything else but me, okay?”

“Okay,” she said, then sniffed.

I started to sing, loud enough for her to hear but low enough that Robert and Logan couldn’t hear. I sang until my mouth was dry, my lips were cracked, and I could barely keep my eyes open. I sang for so long that I knew she had eventually fallen asleep, but even in her sleep, she cried.

“You seem to be in a better mood today,” Robert said, walking into my bedroom.

I sat in the corner, watching as he walked through the space.

The only things I had in here were a bed, a dresser, and a clock.

Nothing fun, nothing that would make me feel comfortable, but I knew that Robert didn’t want that.

He wanted me to feel nothing, and that started from the moment I opened my eyes. “We are going somewhere.”

I waited for him to say more, but he didn’t.

Instead, he walked to my closet and took out a pair of jeans and a black shirt.

He threw them to me and walked out of the room.

I got up, grabbed the clothes, a pair of socks, and shoes, and quickly got dressed.

After I was done, I went downstairs to the kitchen.

“Where’s Kenbral?” I asked him. I hadn’t seen my brother in weeks. Robert kept us separated. He said that the only time we needed to see each other was when we were fighting.

“Let’s go,” Robert said, walking into the kitchen. He didn’t wait or even pause to see if I was following him. He walked out of the house and to the waiting car. Once we were moving, he turned from looking out of the window to me. “It’s time for you to become a man.”

“How?” I asked.

Robert didn’t answer, just turned back to look out of the window.

For the next twenty minutes, we rode in silence.

Then the car turned into Jonathan Franklin's driveway, and my stomach turned.

I knew what he did in his house, had seen kids go in, and had seen some never come out.

Our driver parked near the steps, got out, and then opened the door for us.

Robert got out first, then I followed. We walked to the front door, and it opened.

“Glad you could make it,” Jonathan said, stepping back.

He was a tall, fat man who always smelled of old-man cologne.

His teeth were perfect, straight, and white.

One day, Robert and Logan mentioned in passing that they were fake.

He had taken them out because he wanted to wear different pairs for different occasions, and he liked biting. “Who will this be for?”

“Uri,” Robert said, pointing to me. “This is for him.”

“I thought so.” Jonathan chuckled, then closed the door. “Room number nineteen.”

Robert grabbed the back of my shirt and pushed me down the hallway. When we got to room nineteen, he opened it and walked inside. A woman sat on the bed, her hair wild; she wore only panties and a bra, and she could barely keep her eyes open.

“Josie,” Robert said.

Josie looked up, smiled, then stood. “Robert, you came,” she said.

It took me a minute, but then I realized I’d seen her before.

She wasn’t a woman; she was a girl. She was Robert’s first pet.

She was around for a long time, then suddenly she was gone.

“I missed you.” She put her arms out for a hug, took a step forward, and Robert pushed her back.

“Do not touch me,” he said, shaking his head. “I am here as a customer. We have no connection.”

“I want to be your pet again,” Josie whined. “I will be a good girl and listen.”

“Josie.” Robert chuckled and shook his head. “I have moved on, got a new pet. You are where you belong.”

“But-“

“No buts,” he cut her off. “Get on your knees.” Josie did what she was told and dropped to her knees. “Please Uri.” He snapped at her, and she crawled over to me.

Her hands went to my pants, and she unzipped them, then pulled my penis from my boxers.

“What are you doing?” I asked, pushing her away, but Josie didn’t stop. She kept coming towards me until my back was against the wall and I had nowhere to go. Seeing that I was going to fight, Robert opened the door, and two security guards walked into the room.

“Restrain him until she is finished,” he told them, then walked out the door.

The security guards grabbed me and held my hands against the wall, and Josie grabbed my penis again.

“Just enjoy it, Uri,” she said as she rubbed my penis in her hands. “I will make you feel good, and Robert will let me be his pet again.”

“No!” I yelled as she put my penis in her mouth.

I couldn’t feel what she was doing on the outside of my skin, but the inside started to tingle, and my body jerked.

I hated this. I’d never felt anything, and now I was feeling something that made my body shake.

“Let me go, Josie.” She shook her head and kept my penis in her mouth.

The more she moved, the better the feeling was.

It didn’t matter that she was making me feel things; the only thing I could do was cry. “Please stop.”
