Chapter 32
Xavier
I wake with a pounding headache. Something trickles down the side of my face, but when I try to wipe at it, I realize my wrists are bound to a chair. My anxiety peaks when I feel my legs also strapped. ‘What the fuck?’ I think to myself as my memory starts to surface.
So much is hitting me all at once, and I can’t grasp what is real and what isn’t. Am I dreaming? I can’t see a thing around me, but I know I’ve been strapped to a chair. Claustrophobia sets in. This has to be a fucking nightmare because this is most certainly not my kink.
“Where the fuck am I?” I yell out into the darkness. I’m suddenly sent spinning in a circle, and bright lights hit me from multiple directions. The fast movement, coupled with the lights, throws me over the edge, causing me to heave over the side of the chair. Bile mixed with Shirley Temple splatters on the floor, causing me to grimace. Then, I notice I have been strapped to an office chair with rolling wheels.
This fucking prick.
“Well, what the fuck do you want?” I grit out, carefully looking around the room. Brick walls surround me, with only one small window close to the ceiling. I can only tell because of the moonlight shining through it. I have to be in some sort of basement for sure.
Manic laughter erupts from a shadow in the corner. “It’s about time you wake up. I've been waiting forever to play with you.”
My head whips in the shadow’s direction. “Who the fuck are you? Where the fuck am I? And what the fuck do you want?”
“Tsk, tsk, tsk,” He says as he enters the light.
He’s big. I’m tall already, but this man is massive and built. If I had to guess, I would say he’s probably more significant than Sebastian. ‘Fuck.’ I think to myself.
“Clearly, Daddy never taught you any manners. Neither of them.”
“Fuck off!” I seethe. “You don’t know anything about me.”
He laughs again as he walks along my side before backhanding me. The chair I’m in is spinning again. My head hangs in my lap as I watch blood trickle down onto my pants. I’m stuck watching the blood drops fall as my chair back towards the middle of the room.
“That’s where you are wrong, Xavier Delacruz…or is it Xavier Lockhart? Hmm, I guess it won’t matter by the time I’m through with you anyway.”
My eyes widen. Who the hell is this guy, and how does he know something I just recently discovered? I rack my brain to determine if I know him or how he could be involved when a sharp pain in my upper thigh cuts off my thoughts.
“Fuuuuck!” I scream out and look down as I realize a pocket knife is impaled in my leg. The guy just smiles at me as he flips another one in his hand.
“You’re so pretty when you scream. Not as pretty as your sister, but so so close.”
I look at him, confused, as he smiles and glides the knife across my mouth, pulling down on my lip.
“I have a date with her later, you know.”
“What the fuck are you talking about?” I ask him. This guy is clearly deranged.
He walks behind me before leaning down over my shoulder and licking up the side of my face. I cringe in disgust.
“Sweet Sasha.” He whispers into my ear.
My eyes go wide, and it clicks. Is Sasha part of this? Is she really my sister? Is she dating this guy? Did Lockhart put them up to this? I feel the burn across my cheek as he digs his other knife.
“Fuck, just stop. What do you want? Do you want money? If so, I have plenty; just name your price.”
“I don’t need your money,” he laughs as he drops the knife and shoves it into his pocket. He then proceeds to pull out a pack of cigarettes and lights one up. Leaning over, he blows a cloud of smoke into my face, making me lean back further in the chair. “I was supposed just to kill you in the club. One quick slice slice, and you would have been dead dead.”
“Why didn’t you then?” I ask him.
“I don’t like my kills to be quick. I enjoy the torture, and I knew when I saw you how pretty it would be to watch you scream for me.”
“You're a fucking lunatic. Did Sasha put you up to this? Or maybe her uncle?”
“Oh, sweet Xavier, are you really this dense? Sasha doesn’t make decisions where I’m from. Your sweet sister is only around to serve one purpose.”
“What’s that?” I ask him curiously. Not only am I curious what kind of fucked up shit this guy obviously knows, but I’m also hoping I can drag this out a little longer and somehow figure out an escape plan. I can't get my feet out, but the ties around my wrists have loosened substantially as I’ve been trying to move my hands back and forth. He’s so immersed in his own sick game I’m pretty sure he hasn’t even noticed.
“To serve anyone your uncle pleases. She’s a toy at his disposal, and I can’t wait to kill you so that he will gift me another night with her. Your sister is going to scream all night for me.”
I don’t miss how he says ‘your uncle’ and ‘your sister’ to me. It triggers something foreign and protective in me. I have a sister, and this sick fuck wants to hurt her…again.
“Don’t you fucking touch her, you prick.”
He ignores me and whistles while opening a red gas can and pouring the liquid all around the floor. Cigarette in one hand and can in the other. Idiot. My heart rate speeds up when the smell of gas hits my nose.
This guy is going to burn this place down with me in it. I attempt to stall him. “Sounds like my sister isn’t the only toy at my uncle’s disposal. Do you suck his dick for him too? I bet you know how to swallow him down good.”
He stalks closer before grabbing my face in one hand and sticking the blade of his knife up to my neck. “The only bitch choking will be your sweet sister when I shove my cock down her throat until she passes out. She’s going to beg me to stop while I rip her in two. Just be lucky I can’t kill her,” he smiles before continuing. “I’m sure she always wishes she was dead when I’m done with her, though.”
He slices down my cheek again, drawing more blood. A light flashes through the window near the ceiling, causing him to jerk away and look. “Guess our little playtime is up. I’ll give your sister your love,” he says, smirking as he drops his cigarette, and everything around me erupts in flames.
The fire spreads around the room, burning bright and hot, causing me to panic. I rip my hand from one of the loosened ties and eye the blade in my leg. ‘Fuck it,’ I think before gripping it in one hand and yanking it out. I groan out loud at the pain, but I don’t have time to think about it as I slice the tie off my other wrist. I push on my heels as I lean over in an attempt to cut those ties, causing the chair to roll backward away from the flames.
The edge of a wheel catches on uneven flooring, and the entire chair tips sideways, taking me down with it. My head hits the ground, and my vision blurs.
I have to get out of here, figure out what is going on, and help my sister.
But most of all, I can’t die without telling Corrine I finally remember everything. I remember every fucking second with her, and if I make it out of here, I’m going to spend the rest of my life making these last few months up to her. The smoke is thick in the air. I want to move, but I can’t.
I can hear someone screaming my name. Am I imagining it? “Fuck Butterfly, I’m so sorry,” I mutter before the world around me goes back.
