Epilogue
Shiloh smoothed down an invisible line on her wedding dress.
It wasn’t white. She refused to even consider wearing that color because she wasn’t a sacrificial virgin.
Instead, her dress was deep red. Beautiful and bold, with black silk roses trailing down the full organza skirt.
It was a vintage A-line dress with spaghetti straps, with the bodice laced up in front.
The gorgeous dress made her feel sexy. Desirable.
Behind her, Kira finished braiding her hair, weaving burgundy ribbon through the strands.
“That is so pretty,” Vette gushed.
“Thanks,” Kira replied, smiling.
“Shiloh, do you like the bouquet?” Vette asked. She’d been adding red and black roses to match her dress.
“I love it.” Shiloh beamed. “Thank you both so much. I can’t imagine my life without you both.”
Kira hugged her. “You’re my sister now. An old lady in the Sons of Sinn MC. We’re family now.”
Vette rushed over and threw her arms around both of them. “You’re both my family, too! I love you, guys.”
They all laughed as a knock sounded on the door. Kira left the group hug to check who it was. Saint entered and gave his fiancée a quick kiss before his gaze landed on Shiloh.
“You look lovely,” he said. Shiloh’s cheeks heated. “Ready to get hitched?”
Fuck yeah! She nodded, heart suddenly racing. Not out of fear. With excitement.
“It’s time,” he said and held out his elbow.
Saint, as president, offered to walk her down the aisle, and Shiloh felt humbled by the offer.
Kira marched first, then Vette handed over the bouquet and winked as she followed.
Her best friend was her maid of honor, and her other friend was a bridesmaid.
The two most important girlfriends a woman could have, and Shiloh valued them deeply.
Instead of the wedding march, Nothing Else Matters by Metallica boomed through the speakers.
The clubhouse den had been transformed. Everything was moved out, including the pool table.
Folding chairs had been borrowed from the city rec center, and every Sons member was sitting.
Streamers, balloons, and flowers were everywhere, their scent filling the room with a sweet fragrance. It truly felt enchanting.
Jade waited at the end of a short aisle, dressed in a fitted burgundy suit.
The color matched her dress. With it was a black button-down vest and tie.
Everyone else wore their leather cuts and jeans.
She had told Jade she didn’t care what he wore, but he insisted their marriage was a one-time shot, so he wanted to make it special.
Kira and Vette were invaluable in planning the entire wedding and party afterward.
When she reached him, the music died away, and she stared into the depths of his eyes. Gossamer threads hummed between them, giving her a feeling of transcendence. One corner of his mouth lifted in a tender half-smile.
Sinn was officiating. “I don’t think I have to introduce myself, and I'll do my best to keep this short and sweet since I know I'm the only thing standing between all of you and the bar.
We are here to witness the next chapter of our brother, Jade, and Shiloh's love story. I was not at the Tipsy Bison the night these two locked gazes, but not only did she meet the love of her life, she met the love of my life.” He winked at Kira.
“Jade and Shiloh are about to enter an equal partnership, supporting each other through the good times and the less-than-good times. To show up for each other, choose each other every day and love each other fiercely.”
He pulled out two gold rings. One delicate with an emerald twinkling under the light. The other with the words ‘Property of Shiloh’ engraved on it. She hadn’t expected that, and it made the love she felt for him all that much sweeter.
They vowed to love one another and no other.
They vowed to care for each other in sickness and health.
He vowed to never break her heart.
Promises made, and she believed them.
Because love won.
