Chapter 26 #2
As he always seemed to enjoy doing, he took his time and that included the slightest rub of his fingertips in silent circles and zigzags. My panties were already damp and I sensed he knew that by the mischievous look on his face.
So much of me hated that the man upended me every time. This was just another sparring battle, a contemptuous move on a chess board to assert his authority prior to the two of us exchanging vows. I wanted to say I hated what he was doing, but I’d be lying.
Again.
When his fingers reached the gun, he cocked his head, the quirk of his eyebrow highlighting another round of approval. “My wife to be is a force to be reckoned with. I hope no one at our reception dares comment negatively about the food.”
“They likely wouldn’t appreciate my slicing and dicing skills.”
Jago eased his fingers under the thin elastic of my thong, holding that lust-filled look in his eyes as he swirled the tip of his thumb around my clit.
His touch was delicate, a small reminder of his attributes under the sheets.
It was difficult not to experience a swell of excitement from his touch.
“Do you trust me, Genevieve?” He asked the question as if disbelieving what I’d said before.
“Trust is an assumption and one often met with dangerous intent.”
His lips twisted in an entirely different form of appreciation as he rolled his thumb down the length of my pussy. “Are you suggesting making assumptions is dangerous?”
“Absolutely,” I breathed, finding it impossible to concentrate. “It gets people killed. Besides, trusting you means giving up a part of myself.”
His eyes gleamed as he thrust his fingers past my swollen folds.
I closed my eyes, forced to wrap one hand around his arm to keep myself steady.
“Would that be such a terrible thing?” he asked.
“Absolutely.” My knees threatened to buckle as he continued stroking my pussy as if it were delicate instrument. I found myself arching my back, opening my legs as far as the form-fitting dress would allow.
A slight moan escaped my lips and I stared at him through hazy eyes.
Dressed in a crisp white shirt and jacket, only the darkness of the bowtie giving his true personality away, the kiss of afternoon sunlight provided a fiery aura.
There was a strength in him that seemed even more impervious on this day.
I wasn’t certain why the thought came to me, but there was something about his expression.
He’d take on every enemy if necessary.
Was that to prove something to me or to himself?
As he slowly lifted his arm, I glanced at his hand. He had strong hands, fingers depicting danger and roughness, capable of performing terrible deeds. When he wrapped that same hand around the back of my neck, I shivered once again.
His hold was even more possessive, a testament to the sanctimony of our upcoming nuptials.
With his expression darkening, he plunged all four fingers inside my pussy while keeping his thumb active against my sensitive nub. I couldn’t stop thinking about the fact he was graceful and brutal at the same time.
That had never been my thought on men involved in the cartel.
Even my father had been rough around the edges, my mother teaching him how to present himself in public.
Or at least that’s what he’d told me more than once.
But this man, this dauntingly handsome brute with engaging obsidian eyes broke the mold.
I kept my grip on his arm, completely in a daze as he finger-fucked me.
I’d pleasured myself many times, but he had a way that was far more sensual, igniting every nerve throughout my body.
I’d never felt tiny in his arms. I was too tall and too brash, but on this day it seemed the entire playing field had changed.
It was a power exchange that I’d agreed to, but one I hadn’t understood the full ramifications of. Right now, I was at his mercy and if I had to be honest with myself, I didn’t mind.
I closed my eyes fully, grasping his shoulder with my other hand. His hot breath kept me trembling and the way he pressed his lips against my neck tightened my nipples. While almost everything about the man and his actions was breathtaking, it was also frustrating. My aggravated moan proved it.
This was nothing more than his reminder I belonged to him.
But I certainly had no intention of stopping him. I was too close to pure ecstasy.
“Fuck,” I whispered, sucking in a sharp breath.
“Be careful cursing in front of me, uno encantado , or I’ll need to punish you.”
“You wouldn’t dare.” Enchanted one. The terminology amused the hell out of me.
“I think you know better than to tempt me.” He lifted his head, his eyes as dilated as mine had to be. “I can’t wait to unravel every inch of you until you fall apart in front of me.”
I was breathless as he flexed his fingers open, driving them so deeply inside I was forced onto my toes. A tough thing to do in thick boots. “You’ve already… done enough of… that.” I laughed from hearing the almost timid vibe to my voice.
“No, Genevieve. Not nearly enough.” He captured my mouth and the ragged moan I’d almost allowed to escape.
He had an incredible way of unnerving me and I bucked hard against his hand, the pleasure more decadent than ever.
As the electric sensations cascaded over me like a waterfall, I fell headfirst and blinded into the pure wave of ecstasy.
I was lucky he was sucking on my tongue, or I’d be drooling all over my fifteen-thousand-dollar dress.
I was also thankful he’d captured my stark cries.
The walls inside the church were thin. We certainly couldn’t have all the pretty people who’d come to wish us well hear our act of sinful fornication. Now, could we?
When he pulled away, we both took labored breaths.
“Time to take our vows.”
“Yes, I guess it is. We’re going into the office tomorrow. Right?”
He lifted my chin with a single finger. “Not tomorrow.”
“But you promised.”
His expression was one of mischief. “Tonight is our wedding night, my soon to be bride. Besides, I have a surprise for you.”
“Hmmm… Maybe I don’t like surprises.”
“I guess we’ll see.”
I’d been through so many emotions in the ten days since my father’s murder, my mind and body embroiled in sadness and anger.
Today was the first day I felt something else, a thought that caught me completely off guard.
The joy of hope.
