43. Nyah #3

He laughed at my back, his hand coming up to cup my breast, despite my attempts to get away from him. “I saw this set and just knew her tits would look amazing in it. And I was right, wasn’t I, Guerra? Fucking perfect.”

“He’s a liar,” Lynx said through gritted teeth. “She bought that set in Providence. I was with her.”

Oh God, my heart. Lynx trying to save me was the sweetest thing anyone had ever done for me.

But I knew it wouldn’t be enough. MacGregor had Carlos by the balls. They didn’t even acknowledge Lynx had spoken.

Carlos stared at MacGregor’s hand on my chest, just under the scar he’d branded into my skin. “Get your hands off my wife.”

MacGregor ignored him, squeezing and tweaking my breasts like he had every right.

“Ye don’t care she’s wearing underwear gifted to her by another man.

I get it. She’s incredibly beautiful, maybe I could overlook that too.

Are ye going to overlook the fact she’s carrying a bastard bairn?

Not yours, I assume, right, Carlos? Since ye haven’t fucked her.

Though even if ye had, ye couldn’t have knocked her up, could ye?

Since ye snipped your wee pecker and all. ”

Red flamed in Carlos’s cheeks, his fingers holding tight around the knife.

“Ye going to raise her bairn like your own, Carlos? Be a da and raise a baby who resembles another man?” He laughed.

“You know Matish had a good laugh about ye when I paid him that little visit to collect what he owed me. He laughed and laughed when he told me he’d sent ye his knocked-up daughter, all while promising ye she was a sweet virgin who’d never taken a man’s cock. ”

He pressed his lips to my ear. “Whose cock did ye take today, sweetheart? I can fucking smell his cum on ye.” He glanced over at Lynx. “The bodyguard? He seems to have a soft spot for ye.”

“I haven’t fucking touched her,” Lynx said, voice deadly, but nothing he could do with a gun muzzle shoved to the back of his head.

MacGregor nodded. “I think I believe him. What about you, Carlos?”

Carlos didn’t respond. His face just flamed red. He moved toward me again, this time cutting through my shorts, exposing the lacy red underwear that matched my bra. He leaned in and inhaled deeply, his anger turning to rage.

His hand smacked across my cheek. “You fucking slut. Tell me the truth or I swear to God, I’ll fuck you with this knife before I plunge it into your neck.”

Pure, unadulterated fear coursed through my entire body.

Because I knew he didn’t lie. I might have, but he wasn’t. He would hurt me before he ended it. Hurt me for embarrassing him. He’d probably take photos and send them back to my father, me bleeding out on the floor of a castle in Scotland while Dax and Lynx and Luca were all forced to watch.

I had nothing left but the truth. “Yes,” I whispered. “It’s true.”

My gaze slid to Dax’s.

Shock widened his eyes, his beautiful lips parting in a silent scream. He lunged toward me, only to be held back by MacGregor’s guards.

And in that second, I knew he knew this was the baby we thought we’d lost. That he was its father.

And we were both about to lose it all.

“No!” he screamed.

Carlos didn’t hear his words. He didn’t hear Lynx’s shouts and more guards rushing in to subdue them. All he had eyes for were me. “You fucking slut.”

MacGregor chuckled. “Is she worth it now, Carlos? Ye still want to marry a woman carrying the bastard child of another man? A woman who tried to trick you? Give her to me. I don’t mind going where other men have been.

Turns me on, actually, knowing she had men inside her, fucking her hard, spreading her tight virgin pussy, and getting her ready for me. ”

He pushed every button Carlos had, reminding him over and over again that while he’d been waiting to have me on our wedding night, I’d been with other men.

“Just like all the others,” Carlos whispered, staring at me with hate in his eyes.

MacGregor laughed in my ear, clearly getting off on all of this. “Whose baby is it, Nyah? The fighter’s, huh? He’s having a very big reaction over there.”

My gaze slid Dax’s way, shock punching through me at the blood dripping down the side of his face. I didn’t even know how it had gotten there until I watched one of MacGregor’s guys pistol-whip him again in an attempt to get him to calm down.

But he wouldn’t. He screamed for me. Fought to get to me, despite the three men holding him back. Hollered my name until his voice was hoarse.

A sob rose up my throat, and I couldn’t hold it back. Carlos’s gaze swiveled between me and Dax, and I knew he saw the truth. That I wanted to scream for Dax just as much as he was for me. That he was the man I loved. Who I’d given my body to. Whose baby I was going to carry to my grave.

Tears streamed down my face.

We were all going to die here. All three of us.

The end…for now.
