Epilogue
Lily sat on the floor with Bella while she knocked over her foam blocks. Bella was finally big enough to play with, but Lily still had to watch out for her since she could get into trouble. Once Bella started seeing things like Lily did, she might get into even more trouble.
But that’s what big cousins were for.
She loved the house she lived in with their dragon family. And she especially loved her mommy and daddy. The first time she had colored them before they came to find her, she knew they would be a big part of her life.
Living in a house with grown-ups had taught her a lot. Even without her special drawings, she heard things. They worried about witches and curses and something called Templars. Lily wished that she could help, but her drawings weren’t something she could control.
But the grown-ups were also happy and silly too. Evelyn had moved to the woods to be with Walter, which made everyone smile. And her mommy and daddy made her laugh. Her mommy always teased her daddy about him rushing to find her after he had seen Lily’s drawing of the grumpy man and her holding hands.
“Are you ready to have some fun, Bella?”
“Yiwee.”
She loved it when Bella said her name. And she loved being…what did Mommy call it? A matchmaker.
Lily smiled. What they didn’t know was that the drawing wasn’t wrong. Because the grumpy man in the drawing was not holding her mommy’s hand.
But Lily wasn’t going to explain. Grown-ups were funny when it came to love.
Thank you for taking the time to read Dragon Charmed . I am working on the next book in this series, so I hope to have it in your hands soon.
