Chapter Twenty-Seven Dragon
I stare at the blank phone screen with tears in my eyes.
She was saying goodbye. She doesn’t think that we are going to get to her in time.
I want to kill these assholes. I will destroy every single person that has hurt her, that took her from me, that dared to hurt my fucking family.
For the first time in three days I get up and walk Jaxon and Waylon over to Rachel.
“Can you watch them for me?”
“Of course I can. Don’t worry about them, okay.”
I nod my head and head back to where Glitch is sitting with Liza’s brothers, Twister and Domino. Walking up to them you see them talking and I sit down next to Glitch.
“What did she tell you that can help us find her and Walker?”
Glitch looks up from his computer screen, “Enough. Domino and his brothers are going to help us. According to Liza, Domino’s half-brother Vittorio took them. She thinks she is at his house because she was told his wife was back and he did not want her to know they were there.”
I look over at Domino and he gives me a sad smile.
“Lorenzo is working on compiling a list of homes for all my father’s bastards. We are hoping we can narrow them down with distance. Vittorio is not someone I have interacted with often. Lorenzo is familiar with him, but only because father seems to hold him in high regard.
His mother was my father’s first love or whatever a sociopath can have. They have seven children together as far as we know. My father is a disgusting bastard and honestly I have no fucking clue how many children he has. A majority live out of the country. But Rosaria Mancini’s children live here.
The oldest, Vittorio, is 48 years old. He himself has many mistresses. I am not surprised that he is involved in all this. I am determined to help you find Liza, Glitch did not get all the information from her because she appeared to not have a lot of time to talk, but I worry if Vittorio has her.
He is not a kind man and honestly, if he could kill my siblings and I, I have no doubt he would. He would not mess with father’s succession though.”
Glitch continued working on his computer and said, “Liza did tell me that Vittorio was given permission to off his wife so that she may become the next Mrs. Vittorio. Sounds like he has some sort of sick obsession with her. She asked me why she attracted the psychos.
I have to admit she has not really had much luck when it comes to men.”
He glances at me, “I guess except for you. Even though for a while there I thought you were among the assholes she sucked into her orbit and got her pregnant to boot.”
As we are sitting there talking about how to go about finding this home that Liza and Walker are being kept in Domino’s brother Lorenzo walks over to us.
“The man that I have in my father's ranks has said that he is in Richmond. That he has met with Vittorio, Rafael and Elias. They were apparently supposed to be tracking you, Dominic.”
He says as he turns and looks at Domino.
“Someone must have either run into you or we have a rat somewhere who turned you into our father. He sent those bastardi to make sure it was you and report back to him on your every day movements. Somewhere along the way they ran into Liza.
Vittorio has requested that Liza and Walker become his legitimate family. He apparently has a very big obsession with your girl here. According to what my informant has told me, Vittorio is a part of father’s trafficking ring. Has been for years and that is how he met Vandal and Liza.”
I stood up and stared down at this asshole, “You've been sitting on this information? How long have you known all this fucking shit for, you prick?”
My fists clench and Twister must have seen something because the next thing I know my brother is out of his seat grabbing me by the arm.
“Don’t, brother.”
The room got very quiet and a bunch of fucking men in suits started coming towards their future don. Lorenzo puts his hand up and they stop where they are at.
“Dragon, was it? I did not come upon this information until recently. I do not tend to go to my informant often so that he can remain hidden from our father. I need the men I have in his ranks to keep themselves hidden for when the time comes to put a bullet in that fucking lunatic’s head.
I am sorry that you are hurting, but I am not the one you want to go up against. I am on your side. I will help you get your woman and child back. Then I will let you have your way with that son of a bitch who shares my blood.
I tell you now that I will help you burn those men to the ground when we find them, you just have to trust me.”
“Son, you need to go to the ring. We will come get you if anything changes. Bring Rage with you, he will help you burn some of that anger burning inside of you.” My dad says as he pulls me back.
I shrug off my father and my brother’s hands and turn on my heels out of the room.
Instead of going to the gym downstairs I make my way up to Wizard’s room where I know that he is either with Sophie and some of the Sirens or he has them on a conference video.
I want answers and I want them fucking yesterday.
I am going to go out of my mother fucking mind.
This asshole thinks he could take my woman and even worse he thinks that he can try and force her to become his wife.
That thought alone is tearing me up inside.
I punch the wall to my left. Putting both my hands up on the wall and placing my forehead there the tears start to come before I can push them away.
The conversation with Liza going round and round in my head.
She didn’t tell me everything she should have, but she told me enough.
She doesn’t think she is getting out of this situation she is in.
She just wanted to make sure that I found our boy and got him home.
She was telling me goodbye and she didn’t want to hear my promises that I would find her and get her out with him.
She was apologizing for things that were not her fault.
I am the one that put our time together on hold because I was afraid that the shit with the club would bounce back on her and instead of finding out that she is one of the strongest women I know.
She has been through her own hell and is right now living with one of the men that made her life a living nightmare. He plans on taking her from me.
I don’t know how long I stand there against that wall, but I feel someone come up behind me and wrap their arms around me.
“It’s going to be okay, baby brother. Everything is going to be okay.”
Sophie.
I turn myself and she pulls my head down and wraps me up in a hug as best as she can.
My 6’ 3” to her 5’ 7” and she is comforting me in a way we would assume my mama would.
Sophie, no matter how she reacted when everything went down with the Acid MC, is still my big sister and she is still one of the women in my life that will always be there for me no matter what is going on in my life.
We may have had our differences, but she is my big sister.
“Come on, let’s go see what Wizard’s got going on in his room. I know that is where you were headed. You never listen when you are told to do something.”
I nod my head and straighten myself, wiping a hand down my face to clear the tears.
“Who do you have working at the Sirens’ base?”
She chuckles, “How do you know I have anyone working at the base? Plus I’m not the boss, Alessia is. She gives me who she wants or thinks would be best to help in whatever situation they are hired for.”
I look at her, “Yeah? So who did she think was best for this job and who the fuck hired anybody? They told me the Sirens were here, so I assumed they were all at their base trying to help with shit.”
We finally get to Wizard’s little lair as I love to call it because his fucking suite at the clubhouse is ridiculous.
Sophie doesn’t even knock on the door, she just opens it up and when we come to the main room of his suite we are greeted with a shitload more computers than I am used to seeing here.
I look at Sophie and she looks up at me and smiles.
“We hired them, we brought them here to give Wiz an upgrade because that is what we do for our family.”
“Thank you, Soph.” I squeeze her shoulder and look up to see Wizard is doing his work on his computer, but he looks very uncomfortable with all the women in his room.
Sophie points to each woman that are on on their electronics doing who knows what, “There is Wren, Ash, Nyx, Echo, Raven, Silk and of course Anchor. Ash and Anchor volunteered when they heard what was going on. The others probably would have if they were not already being sent in.
They are the Mafia hunting squad. They are the best at finding members of mafia families who like to hide and stay hidden. We’ve got the best of the best working on it. Hopefully with Lorenzo’s information we can figure out exactly where he would take Liza and Walker with the timeframe he had.
From what Glitch passed along he has not moved them from the place they were brought when they left the hospital. So that is good. We tried to find security footage of the vehicle they left in, but we were unable to find anything.
So we are working on pulling up lists of his homes and his children's homes. As well as talking to anyone who knows him. That's what some of these beautiful women are for.”
“I think I love that you befriended these women Sophie.”
“Well once they find something they will let us know and we will get the boys in action.”
“Ahem, I believe you meant that the men and women will get in action because you have no idea how long I have wanted to stick a knife in a Bellandi.”
She looks around, “I mean you know the bastard old man and his evil spawns. Not the legitimate ones who apparently were raised with a soul. Who knew that was possible.”
Sophie and I chuckle at that because yes it is amazing that Domino and his siblings turned out the way they did given their parents were lacking in the love department.
For the first time all day I feel a little bit of hope. Hope that I will get to my woman and our son before too long.
