6. Chapter Six

Chapter Six

Beatrice

Oh, fuck.

"No, stop! Don't read that!"

Half to my surprise, Noah paused in the middle of the first sentence of the filthiest chapter in the book. His dark brows rose with skeptical intrigue. "I doubt very much you actually want me to stop."

"Well, I..."

Double fuck. He was right. While I was the most flustered I'd ever been in my life, I didn't want him to stop.

"It's just that, that part is embarrassing. I don't want you getting all weird if you're not into this."

"Bea," he said in that reprimanding tone that bore an edge of softness he only ever used with me. "If you want me to stop and cut you loose at any time, say ‘Fhtagn.’ Understand?”

I bobbed my head in understanding, my brain feeling like soup in my skull. I was still woozy from the rum, but I’d never felt more sure about anything.

"That's my good little Bea," he praised. "Now, lay back, relax. If you pull too hard against the ziptie, it will leave marks."

When I didn't relax, his dark chuckle sent a shiver of goosebumps over my arms and legs.

"Ah, so you like being bruised and marked up? I was curious about that, considering what the monster does to the heroine in this book."

"Wait." My lungs slapped together, and I sucked in a surprised gasp. "Y-you've read it?"

He hesitated before nodding. "I have."

"You asshole! You lied to me. You did go through my shit under my bunk."

"I didn't lie," he muttered cooly. "I read it when it came out."

I blinked. Was he fucking with me? “You read monster romance? Since when?”

“Since I first caught you reading one. In college, if you didn't have homework to do, or weren't studying with me, you were reading.

Anything you deem worthy of your time, is worthy of mine also.

And turns out, I like it. I don't read a ton of it.

Mostly just the nautical shit. Did you ever read the one with the lighthouse keeper that shoves the heroine's head in shark-infested waters?”

“I love that one!”

“This one is pretty good too though.” He flipped a page, a smile flickering at the crook of his mouth as his amber eyes skimmed the words. “This one had an eldritch monster on the cover. Of course I had to pick it up.”

His eyes were stark with sincerity. And in an instant, all sense of shyness and shame melted.

I shouldn't have been so cagey about it in the first place.

Even if he didn't like it, who gave a fuck?

I liked what I liked. He'd care for me either way.

But this was the best-case scenario. He wasn't simply indulging my desires.

This was just as much for his pleasure too.

The moment my muscles unclenched and I settled back into his mattress, as comfortable as I could get with my arms stretched over my head, he began to read to me.

Usually, I'd find the melodic crash of the ocean, waves smashing over the breach comforting. But tonight was different. I'd gotten a job on the infamous pirate ship, the Dolorous Eye as a cabin boy. And just as the journey neared its end, with Naussu just a few days away, my secret was discovered.

I wasn't a boy at all. I’d disguised myself to sail with Captain Zann.

It didn’t matter that I was just as good a swordsman, if not better, than all of them. Or that I could do any job on that ship.

Sailors were superstitious bastards. They saw having a woman on board as bad luck.

Now, here I was, marooned on an abandoned island. Could have been worse. The captain could have given me to his crew, and only when I was completely brutalized and broken beneath the hunger of fifty sweaty sailors, tossed me overboard.

Instead, they left me to a kinder monster, tied to a palm tree on the sand.

The creature in these waters was known to crave human flesh.

At least it would eat me, and leave my bones to the crabs to pick clean. A fate that felt like a mercy compared to the alternative.

There was no point in fighting my fate. If I was to be dinner for the god of this sea, then I'd make a fine meal for him.

It appeared shortly after sunset, the horizon still smattered with bright ribbons of pink and red.

This was a monster that made its home in the darkest depths of the ocean. As it rose from the tides, I shivered. Not from the cold, not from fear, but in unholy reverence.

It was Zorcock, God of the Caribbean Sea.

Noah scoffed. "Okay. But that name. The author could have gone with something less silly."

"Keep going," I urged. "It's getting to the good part.”

Zorcock was a large beast, but not as big as the tales made out. Taller than a man, not bigger than a fifty-gun galleon.

From the waist up, he was humanoid. His grayish-green flesh glistened in the faint moonlight.

Sleek muscles flexing, making it ripple as he moved toward me.

His long, defined adonis belt bled into a meaty cluster of thick tentacles that writhed over the sandy beach, moving faster than two legs ever could.

Even if I wasn't tied to a tree, I'd never outrun him.

My pulse thrashed in my ear with its terrifying approach.

The distance between us shrunk, and the final remnants of my nerves tattered like a wind-worn flag when I registered its face.

A tentacle beard!

"Hello, Davy Jones," I muttered amorously, remembering how seeing Pirates of the Caribbean had altered my brain chemistry. "Smash."

Noah sent me a mischievous side-eye before licking his finger and turning the page with a dramatic pause that had me bucking in frustration.

"Great Gulf of Mexico, why are you doing this so slow?"

"Because nothing brings me greater pleasure than watching you throw a horny little fit on my mattress."

He tilted his head and gave my squid dildo a sniff, cackling evilly at the way my cheeks flamed. “Awww, what’s the matter? Don’t you like that I can still smell your pussy on the suckers?”

“Now you’re just ragebaiting me.”

“Well, you shouldn’t make it so fun.”

"I will stab you."

He scoffed. "With what? Your toe nails?"

"You fucking—"

"Calm down, angry little Bea. I'm only joking. Now, do as your captain tells you, and I'll keep going."

By the time Zorcock reached me, my lungs felt as though they were collapsing, and if it wasn't for the tree holding me up, my legs would've given way.

He towered over me, smelling strongly of salt and looming sea storms.

"If you're going to eat me, just make it quick."

“Eat you?”

I didn’t expect him to be able to talk. His rumbling voice was as deep and as dark as the sea he ruled. “Yes. Aren’t you the devourer of men who are marooned or shipwrecked in these waters?

“Of men. But a pretty female like you? You are so much more than a meal. You shall host my eggs.”

"Eggs?" I wasn't sure what he could possibly be referencing. "What eggs?"

"My brood. There are no more females of my kind left. And women don't fall into my waters often, as intact as you. Allow my eggs to nest in your womb. Keep them warm. Then I will come and take them back before they hatch. Do this for me, and I'll get you off this island."

I wasn't sure what he wanted me to do. But what choice did I have?

"Will it hurt?"

He laughed and the sound was as turbulent as the sea. "Most definitely."

"So, my dirty little first mate not only has a thing for tentacles, but the kind that lays eggs." He laughed, teasing me, but as he pivoted on the bed, there was no missing the huge bulge in his pants.

"I have a toy back at home. It's one of those ovipositor ones that you can squeeze silicone eggs out of."

Intrigue had his spine straightening. "Did you bring that?"

"Nah. Too messy."

Satisfaction roiled through me at the stark disappointment on his face. "We can use it when we get home."

At that, I smiled. "Oh, I plan on it."

Zorcock reached for me, cupping my cheek in his hand. It was larger than a man's and tipped with deadly claws. They dragged over my lips, leaving my flesh red and stinging.

He raised his tentacles. Green and oozing with a saliva-like goo. Transparent and viscous. Suckers, countless fleshy nubs, puckered and twitching.

I opened my mouth to gasp. A choking sputter came out instead as a tentacle snapped forward and wound around my throat.

Another tentacle prodded my lips and I sealed them tight, denying it access.

If Zorcock noticed my resistance, he didn’t seem to care.

The slimy appendage wriggled past my lips while he held my jaw in his hand, aiding the tentacle as it forced its way into the cavity.

I tried to scream, though that seemed to encourage the cruel sea god.

The tentacle thrust its way down my throat, making it impossible to breathe.

The slime covering it tasted strangely good.

Delicious even. I couldn't get enough of it, leaving me wondering if the slick the tentacles produced had an aphrodisiacal effect.

That, or the moment I felt its tentacles wrapped around me, I realized this monster's touch was far more appealing than any human man's I'd been forced to suffer.

Fuck.

My eyes rolled back in my head as Zarcock set more of his appendages on me. One wrapped around my waist, while another tore my shirt and the bandages I'd used to bind my chest, my breasts spilling forth into the moonlight.

Another prodded my navel, my ass, even my nose and ears. There wasn't a single cavity of mine it wasn’t interested in claiming.

It was almost like he wasn't familiar with the body of a human female, and he was probing every orifice to select the most hospitable place to lay his eggs.

It didn't take long for a tentacle, the fattest and thickest at his disposal to wedge between my thighs.

A muffled cry sounded from my burning throat.

Tears pricked my eyes, hating how much my body craved the beast's touch. Its many eyes sparked at his discovery. Two other tentacles wound around my legs and pried them apart to allow him deeper access.

With the rope still holding me fast to the tree, I couldn't escape. Now, with half a dozen tentacles encasing me, penetrating me, fucking me, claiming me... I couldn't so much as budge.

So full.

And useless to do anything about it. If I could protect myself, would I? Heated loathing twisted through me like a serpent—no, like a tentacle—at the fact that I wasn't sure If I even wanted to escape.

More. I wanted more. And slowly, my inhibitions shredded, like the garments which hung from me in tatters.

It didn't matter if I enjoyed mating with this beast. Didn't matter how wicked or impure it made me. I was a pirate. I'd been damned to Hell the moment I shed my corsets and took to the sea.

"Are you ready for my eggs, pirate?"

Noah stopped reading to cast me a glance. Muscles in my belly pulled taut at the look banked in those amber pools. Abruptly, he closed the novel and tossed it back onto the pile of books still stacked between our bunks.

"Wait..." My pussy throbbed as I watched him crouch over me and grab my pajama pants. With one swift tug, he pulled them and my panties off, letting them drop to the ground.

"Aren't you going to finish the story?"

He didn't answer me. Instead, he nudged my thighs into a wide V, exposing my entrance to his curious gaze.

"Fuck. Look at you. So fucking stunning. Prettiest little pussy I've ever seen."

"But he hasn't laid his eggs in her yet. We haven't even gotten to the part where he drags her into the sea and we're left to wonder if she's drowned or if he's carried her away to the sunken city to raise their mutant fish babies together?"

All this build up had me shaking with anxiety. This was it. I wanted him so bad I could barely slap together a coherent thought. Yet, I found myself more nervous than I thought possible.

Chuckling, he teased the tip of my Ika dildo up my inner thigh and allowed it to skim my labia.

"Now who's the one that's stalling?"
