Chapter Eight

Beatrice

He didn’t say it back.

Fuck!

It was probably too early to say shit like that. We hadn’t even gone on a real date yet.

Ugh. I blamed the rum.

“Eyes on me, Little Bea.” Noah pushed the toy deeper inside me, and suddenly the hurricane of thoughts in my head died down. I found myself lost in the calm of his eyes, like the center of a storm.

“Your irises…” He said, all thick and throaty. “As blue and as deep as the ocean. The moment I saw them, I felt like I was home again.”

It always shocked me that Noah had bothered going to college at all.

He never liked being on land for long. It was part of his dual nature I loved about him.

As a worshipper of Cthulhu, his thirst for knowledge sometimes outshone his call to the sea.

The only two places he seemed completely himself were on the deck of a ship under an open sky, or in some dusty corner, trapped by mountains of books.

A shock of pleasure ran up and down my body. He started to move the toy back and forth, and it felt like a bolt of lightning with suction cups. My whole body felt full to bursting, watching his heavily tatted arm flex and move with the tentacle toy.

His amber eyes gleamed at me in the dim light of the cabin. They were so bright and clear that, for a moment, I was sure they were glowing.

He started whispering. I thought I just couldn’t hear him, but I didn't understand him because he wasn’t speaking English.

It was something I had caught him doing now and then, and assumed it was religious.

It was different now. In the strange syllables, unspeakable words, the gnashing whispers, was my name.

Not some Elder Thing or sea god, but a biologist from Oregon.

His worship tonight was all for me.

“T-Too full,” I whimpered as he sank another inch of the silicone tentacle inside me. The more of the toy he fed into me, the larger the base grew, stretching me in ways no mortal man could.

“It’s too much.”

“Bullshit, I know you can do better than this,” he mused with a dark chuckle in his voice, making my insides pulse hot. “If you really need to tap out, you know what your safe word is. Until then, shut up and let me play with this pretty pussy.”

When the last word left him, he punctuated by sinking another inch inside me. This was the furthest I’d ever gotten it. I felt the thin point of the toy folding inside me as weight from the thicker parts of the silicone pushed down, forcing my body to take more. More.

He was going so slow, the slight pain of it only heightened the delicious, pussy-obliterating pleasure of it all.

“Fuck. More. You’re right,” I huffed. “I-I can do it. I can take more.”

Noah hummed in approval. “That’s my girl. I knew you could.”

He did as I asked, pushing it in deeper. He had the toy angled in a way so that the suckers rubbed my clit before sliding inside me.

My breathing turned frenzied. My moans dribbled from my lips, strangled and swollen with pleasure.

“I’m… close.”

My eyes drifted shut as unadulterated bliss threatened to crash over me like a looming tidal wave.

I trembled against Noah’s mattress, and my mouth opened as my release came smashing down onto me.

The sound that came out was guttural and tattered, and when I opened my eyes, stars danced in my vision.

No, not stars. Noah’s stunning eyes watching me with an unholy reverence that left me thunderstruck.

He arched down to place a kiss to my lips, the touch sweeter and softer than I ever thought the gruff sea captain capable.

My pussy pulsated, and I bucked as he pulled the toy out of me at a torturously slow pace.

He tossed it into my bed as he stood up, and my heart fell, worrying for a beat that we were done. My mouth opened, and nothing came out. All ability to articulate was flung out the porthole when Noah unlatched his belt and pulled it off with one swift tug.

His beautiful, perfectly kissable lips kicked into a panty-melting smile. “Sorry to say I don’t have suckers or scales on my dick. But I still think you’re going to like it. Want to see?”

I’d never nodded so fast in my life. I probably looked like a drunk crazy person. “Uuuyueah.”

He undid the front of his pants, slid the dark fabric down all the way to the ground and kicked them to the side.

Oh.

My.

Cthulhu.

“Captain Visser. This thing has some heft to it. Taking up valuable storage space,” I tutted, using his exact verbiage from earlier in reference to my dildo. “You should have cleared this with me.”

Bold move, teasing him while still tied to his bed, naked and leaking my arousal all over his sheets.

A shiver worked through me as I happily waited for whichever manner he chose to scold me.

I was thrown for a loop when he laughed. “Oh, sweet little Bea. I fucking love you.”

My heart pounded hard to the point where I thought it might explode.

Just like that, I was the happiest I’d ever been. How could I not be? I had everything I wanted. I had Noah.

And the mask.

Oh shit. The mask!

Noah moved to crawl back onto the bed and paused when I choked out, “W-wait!”

I chewed my lower lip, considering asking him something that would leave me embarrassed for days after the fact if he declined. “Would you…”

My voice trailed off. He was going to think I was crazy.

Both of Noah’s midnight-dark brows hiked with inquisition. “Yes?”

In spite of the frozen climate outside, it was fever-hot in the cabin.

His heavy musk clotted my lungs, like I’d swallowed a chloriform-logged cotton ball. This man made words hard.

“W-would you, put…”

“Out with it, Little Bea.”

I gave him a wobbly smile. “Put the… mask… on?”

His expression was completely neutral at first, like he was taking an extra moment to parse my request. Then, wordlessly, he looked back at the door leading to the galley where we’d left the mask. When he turned back to me, there was something darker in his eyes than before.

“You’re sure?” he growled, his tone like cracking stone, nearly making me jump.

“I, uh… We’ll be careful with it. Just for a second. I want to see what it looks like on you. I kinda have a thing for masks too.”

The air between us buzzed with heat.

Unease wormed its way into my guts once I sensed hesitation. It hung over him like a cloud.

“It’s okay, we don’t have to. That’s probably too weird anyway.”

“No, it’s alright. It’s a great idea.” His grin returned, this time more devious than ever. “Be right back.”

He turned and left to retrieve the mask from the other side of the boat. A moment later he was back with it in hand.

Suddenly, the room felt ice cold.

I attributed it to the literal arctic outside. Or my nerves.

Noah Visser held the artifact, brushing his hands lightly over the eyes with both fascination and respect banked in his expression.

“Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Beatrice R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn.” He prayed, wearing a sinister grin as he slowly placed the stone mask onto his face.

I couldn’t even begin to understand the language and the dark magic behind it. Most scientists dismissed this kind of thing as fiction. I was of the mind that all science felt like magic at one point, until the explanation was discovered.

His eyes gleamed, brighter than they ever had before. Brighter than what should have been possible. It wasn’t a trick of the light, or my imagination, or even the rum.

Noah’s head jerked at an unnatural angle, making me jump with a yelp.

Choking out more words I didn’t understand.

“Bea… trice… R’lyeh…”
