Chapter 5 #4
Their simultaneous orgasm was explosive. They were still reeling in the aftermath of orgasmic bliss several minutes later. As the rapid beating of their hearts began to settle into a normal rhythm, so did reality. Which caused Evie to hop up and quickly put some space between them.
“Uh, you gonna have to leave, Norie; I’ve got a date to get ready for.” She explained as she walked to the bathroom while pulling her hair up into a messy ponytail.
“Damn, it’s like that?” He mugged her; he felt some typa way.
“Yes, it is. You had your chance and fucked up royally,” She shrugged, not giving two fucks about his feelings. “So now you have to deal with the consequences.”
“A’ight, so all them promises and shit that fell from ya lips while I was making you nut on my dick was just talk, huh?” he nodded as he ran a hand down his jaw.
“Yup, just all a part of the experience. You didn’t take any of it seriously, did you?” Evie asked with a smirk. She really meant every word, but she wasn’t about to tell him that shit anytime soon. He already had her vulnerable enough as it was.
“Nah,” he chuckled. “Not at all. “But at least come smoke and have a drink with me before you go.”
“Fine, let me shower first. Just drinks though, I don’t wanna smell like weed.”
“I got you.” He headed into the kitchen, butt naked with a smile.
When Evie returned a little while later, she was all dolled up and smelled like candy, sin, and seduction, with a new robe covering her fitted red minidress.
The heat in their stare as she locked eyes with Norie was too potent for words.
Her clit began throbbing all over again as if he hadn’t just fucked her into endless orgasms. As her gaze roamed his body, she wondered how she could trust him with her life yet be terrified to let him come anywhere near her heart, even though her love for him was all-consuming.
“The way you keep staring at me makes me feel like you tryin’ to go another round, Evie. What’s it gon’ be?” He smirked. “D’USSE more dick or both?”
“Hand me the glass,” She rolled her eyes as she held out her hand. “And why are you still naked? I told you I need to get out of here in a lil’ bit.” Evie asked as she sat down across from Norie and crossed her legs as she sipped her drink.
“Aye, calm all that down. I’ll be outta ya hair in a lil bit. You know I like to walk ‘round wit’ my dick hanging when I'm at the crib.”
“Then go swing your dick at your crib.”
Reclining against the couch, Norie chuckled as he ran a hand across his chest before reaching for his glass. “Evie, quit actin’ like you don’t enjoy my company. You can sit ya sexy ass over there and play like you tough and unbothered, but we both know I’m the only nigga you really wanna be with.”
You’re so fucking full of yourself, Norie. I’d watch it if I were you.”
“But I’m right.”
“Whatever, nigga. I swear I can't stand the ground you walk on sometimes.”
“Yeah, you can. Aye, remember that time I picked you up from work, and we drove to Chicago, that weekend after Marshon and Kam got married? When we got there, we drank, ate, and got high as fuck and fucked all over that gotdamn city.”
“I vaguely recall something like that,” she mumbled between sips. “What’s the point of you bringing it up?”
Norie smiled over the rim of his glass. “You must’ve smiled nonstop that whole weekend. And every night, you crawled into my arms, asked me to fuck you, then make love to you, and refused to let me pull out until you fell asleep.”
“Yeah, well,” Evie kicked her feet up on the couch and crossed her legs. “That was a long time ago. Back when I was your world, and you knew how to treat me.”
“I still know how to treat you, Evie.” Norie looked into her eyes. “And you'll always be my world, baby.”
Silence settled over them for a few brief moments as they sat lost in their own thoughts before he took them back down memory lane once more. At some point, Evie stopped paying attention to the time and talked and laughed with him until her eyes grew heavy and she drifted off to sleep.
When she woke up, sunlight was pouring into her bedroom window, playing across her face.
Turning away from the sunlight, she slowly opened her eyes.
While she instantly recognized she was in her room, she couldn’t figure out how she'd gotten there or why she was fully dressed except for her pumps.
Her mind drew a complete blank until her alarm went off on her phone.
As she grabbed it from the nightstand and turned off the horrid beeping, the whole night came rushing back. Instantly, a frown settled on her face as the reality of what happened set in.
I just know this nigga didn’t do that dumb shit.
Opening their text thread, her fingers flew across the keyboard before she hit send.
Norie, I know good and hell well that you didn’t drug me. I know you didn’t do that shit to me, did you?
A lil bit, yeah. You wasn’t in ya right mind to go on no date last night. You know, on account of you still being in love with me and al., I didn’t think it was appropriate and shit. How’d you sleep? I made breakfast for you. It’s in the oven.
Oh hell naw, I gotta be in the twilight zone. ‘Cus ain’t no way this nigga just admitted to fucking drugging me.
