Epilogue
3 Months Later
I’m standing at the back of the press room, watching Grace turn on the charm for the media. She called the press conference to officially welcome Mila into the Mac Motorsports family. Never in my life would I have ever guessed that Grace would have taken a chance on me, let alone agree to marry me for real this time. The last few months have been a whirlwind with the season ending. I didn’t win the championship this season, but hell, I think in the end, I may have ended up with something even better. Then we announced to our families that we’re getting married in Hawaii during the off-season.
After finishing fourth this year, I’m ready for a break and time to enjoy my gorgeous soon-to-be wife on a beach for the next week, and I’m itching to get out of here and just be us.
“Thank you to everyone for coming. We at Mac Motorsports look forward to the season ahead and what Mila will add to our team,” Grace says just as the cheers erupt from those inside the press room.
It’s a big deal to bring a female onto your team, and honestly, one I’m happy to be a part of. My contract has been extended for another five years, and I’m ready for the next chapter in my life.
“Hey, Red,” I say. Walking up to my gorgeous girl, I pull the hat off my head that I put on earlier to hide that I was in the room. I wanted this day to be about Mila and Grace, not about me. Yeah, I know that’s shocking since I seem to lap up the attention from the media.
I turn around and am hit by the beautiful smile that blew me away all those months ago. Hell, I think I may have fallen for her when she threw those books at my head. That may have sealed my fate, and I fell in love with her even more when she gave me the chance.
“Ready to become Mrs. McCall, Red?” I say before kissing her. I hear clicks go off and know that I hadn’t waited long enough for the press to leave, but hell, I’m a man, and my woman is within reaching distance, so I’m going to kiss her, pictures be damned. Throwing caution to the wind, I pull her even closer and dip her, just so they’ll have a new picture. We started this relationship in the press, so why not give them one more shot before I officially make her my wife for real this time?
Heading for the door, we say goodbye to Mila, knowing we’ll see her in a few days. She’s become one of Grace’s closest friends, and she’s a part of our wedding party. After getting to know her as a teammate, it’s easy to see why everyone loves her. She has a passion for racing and makes me and Ryan push each other even more. And she balances out our team so well.
We walk toward my Dodge Charger, and I grab Grace again because I can’t get enough of this woman. “Red, you ready to spend forever being a pain in my ass?”
“Oh, Cowboy, I’m just getting started,” she says before giving my already hard cock a rub, then strutting toward the passenger side door and getting in.
Damn, this woman. What may have started off as a joke and was to be nothing has turned into the best mistake of my life. And I’m going to make sure she knows how much I love her for the rest of hers. The media may have thought it was for show, but Grace was my checkered flag long before she even gave me the green one.
One night was all it took for me to see what I didn’t even know I wanted. This NASCAR playboy is off the market, ladies and gentlemen, and I’m never looking back. And I’m damn happy about it.
It’s funny how life can change in the blink of an eye. Or in my case, the snap of a picture.
