Ember-

Ten years ago, Colton left Rose Valley- a boy, with a promise on his lips and my heart in his hands. He swore he’d be back for me.

He wanted me to grow up, live a little and chase my dreams before he made me his.

I was sixteen- his best friend’s little sister and the girl he called his Firefly.

We had a plan.

But life had other plans.

I moved on. I dated. I lived my life. But no one ever came close to my first love.
