EMP Wilderness Homestead

Six months after the EMP, Tom Thorn, his wife Kindra, their three children, and a wolf-dog named Shyla are still alive in the Montana wilderness.

They have built a working homestead of fish weirs, buried smoke trenches, hidden caches, and skill earned the hard way.

Then a stranger comes up the river trail, and six fires bloom on the ridge above their cabin.

Without ever raising his voice, a man starts taking their life apart one system at a time: the dog, the woodpile, the spring, the trap.
