8. Roll For Innuendo #2

Whatever the fuck that means.

“Can someone free me?” Cami asks.

“Working on it,” Micah responds quietly. “Checking spells.”

“I could probably do it,” I offer and wink at her.

She gives me a look. “Can you?”

“I have extremely talented hands.”

Cami’s eyes narrow as she starts to turn pink again.

“I’ve never had any complaints,” I add.

Micah’s foot runs up my leg.

Higher this time.

His toes wiggle against the inside of my upper thigh.

Fuck.

I clear my throat.

Ronan looks between Micah and me and then pointedly at the table, like he can see through it.

Then he smiles.

Asshole.

“You’re up, Dex.”

“Oh, I’m painfully aware,” I answer.

Micah’s toes move again.

“What are you doing?” Ronan asks.

Trying not to ejaculate in my pants at the D&D table.

“Freeing Cami.”

“How?”

Micah’s foot moves higher.

I stare at him.

There is absolutely no way Ronan doesn’t know what he’s doing now.

Cami has gone suspiciously quiet next to Micah, too.

Griffin looks between all of us.

Then between just Micah and me, and down at the table, like he has X-ray vision too.

Then his eyebrows rise.

Oh.

He knows too, and he smiles.

“You could use those talented hands,” Griffin suggests.

My jaw drops, and Cami makes a high-pitched squeaking sound.

Micah’s foot presses even higher. He’s inches from my cock now.

Ronan slowly leans back in his chair.

And Griffin?

Griffin calmly takes another drink like he didn’t just throw a fucking grenade into the middle of the table.

“Excuse me, sir,” I contend. “Who are you, and what have you done with Griffin?”

“I’m playing the game,” he answers with a shrug.

“That is not how you normally play D&D.”

“It could be.”

Cami is almost bright red now.

Micah is laughing openly now.

And Ronan… Ronan, despite his initial frustration, looks fucking delighted.

Not horny.

Okay, probably horny.

But mostly delighted.

Like some final piece just clicked into place.

I pick up my dice. “Fine. I’m using my hands.”

“Sleight of Hand?” Ronan asks.

I nod.

“Roll.”

I stare at him.

“Roll, Dexter.”

Fuck me.

I roll.

A natural fucking twenty.

The entire table laughs.

I stand and throw both arms in the air. “The hands never fail!”

Cami is laughing so hard there are tears in her eyes.

Micah looks pointedly at my crotch.

“Sit down.”

“Yes, Sir.”

Even though I sit, that does not help the situation under the table.

At all.

By the time we finally reach the actual combat encounter, the night is fucking unsalvageable—in the best fucking ways.

Words lead to innuendos and laughter in multitudes.

Thrust.

Opening.

Hard.

Ronan even throws in an erect at one point.

Ronan tells Griffin he has advantage from behind, and I have to physically get up and leave the table.

Cami uses Sacred Flame on an enemy and tells him, “I’ve seen more threatening equipment in a starter kit.”

Nobody acts like they know what she means.

Really, everybody knows what she means.

Micah tells me to get on my knees because my miniature fell under the table.

I stay there approximately three seconds longer than was necessary to retrieve the little bard.

At one point, Griffin says, “I’ll hold him down while Cami finishes him.”

The table goes dead silent, trying to withhold the laughter.

Griffin closes his eyes. “I hate all of you.”

“We didn’t say anything,” I protest.

“You made a face.”

“I happen to have a very expressive face.”

“You looked like you were about to explode.”

“To be fair,” Cami interjects, “that might not be entirely because of what you said.”

Micah groans.

I look at her.

She looks at me.

“Did you just call me out for being hard at the table?” I ask suggestively.

Her brows rise innocently. “I don’t know. Are you?”

“Cameron,” Ronan says.

Again.

One fucking word.

And she fucking stills.

I watch her.

Then him.

Then Micah.

Micah is looking between them too.

Nobody comments.

But something is definitely happening here.

Ronan goes back to the campaign.

Cami behaves… for approximately four minutes.

Then she’s right back to being a menace.

By the time Ronan finally closes his notebook, I’m ready to climb Micah like a fucking tree.

“That’s where we’ll stop for tonight.”

“Thank fuck,” I mutter.

Cami laughs.

Griffin stretches beside her, and she looks at him before glancing at Ronan.

Ronan is watching them.

There’s something there too.

Fucking hell, this house has become a goddamn flowchart of sexual tension.

Micah stands.

He looks at me.

That’s it.

One look.

“Goodnight, Cami, Dad, Daddy,” I announce.

“Fuck off,” Griffin scoffs.

I point at him. “There Griffin is.”

Griffin laughs. “Go.”

“Oh, I’m going… and coming.”

Micah catches my wrist, and suddenly I’m being willingly dragged toward the hallway.

I twist enough to call over my shoulder, “Nobody do anything I wouldn’t do.”

“That leaves literally anything,” Cami calls back.

“Exactly!”

Micah pulls me around the corner.

The second we’re out of sight, I push him against the wall.

He catches both of my wrists before I can touch him.

Oh.

My whole body lights up as his eyes darken.

“You spent the entire night trying to get a reaction out of everyone at that table.”

I grin. “Did it work?”

His grip tightens.

“Bedroom,” he releases me and points.

“Yes, Sir.”

I don’t make it three steps before I hear Cami laughing from the other room.

Then Griffin.

Then Ronan.

I smile.

Yeah.

Whatever the fuck we’re building?

I’m so glad I rolled for it.
