Epilogue

“This is not what I had in mind,” Kade rumbles, glaring at the man chained to the wall.
“You didn’t specify who we should tie up,” I laugh, and he rolls his eyes my way.
“I was hoping to find a willing woman to play with us,” he growls.
“Not this time.” I look at the man watching us with fear. “Quinn was concerned with the bear following Gabby. He’s visiting the dragon's baby. I told him we would take care of it. I expect him to be here soon.”
We have worked for Quinn for years. Gabby is his sister.
A little spitfire bear shifter who we accidentally tied up in our trunk before we knew who she was.
She’s a flirt and enjoyed the experience too much.
We don’t mind playing with single shifters, but we would never mess with her.
Kade is my brother in every way that matters.
We weren’t born from the same woman, yet that doesn’t mean shit.
“I hope it’s soon.” Kade looks around the room. “I don’t enjoy the smell.”
“It definitely could be better.”
We are in the small building we loaned to Rylee. She didn’t explain the reasons why she needed it. We think of her as a sister, so we would do anything for her. Even telling on her to Heath, her deadly snake shifter brother. She forgave us and is now happily mated. Ezra is growing on us.
“My animal wants out.” He turns to me. “Should we shift and run? After we kill him.” He motions to the whimpering bear.
“Sure. It’s been too long since my tiger has been free.” We shift as often as possible. Many of the family here have land, and it prompted us to buy the acres this shack sits on. “I think it’s time to settle here. Tear this down and build a house.”
“I agree.” He meets my eyes. “It’s time to come out of the shadows.”
“And call this place home,” I hum, and he nods.
Two tiger shifters are claiming their spot in the family.
I can’t wait to see what happens.
