20. Burn In Hell
BURN IN HELL
BISHOP
The first sign of daybreak signals it’s been an extremely long night. In fact, it has been a never-ending saga. After the brothers cleaned the scene, we all returned to the clubhouse.
I sent Blue with Sassy and Dee, so the ladies could help comfort her. I want to hold and console her in her time of need, but she insisted that I end this shit as soon as possible.
My baby killed a man tonight, and I know she doesn’t take that shit lightly. Growing up around killers doesn’t automatically make you one. Blue was meant to save lives. That’s the reason she became a nurse.
Blue says that killing Chauncey gave her a sense of closure that she needed. I understand what she means. Killing the man who made her an orphan is probably satisfying. But I know Blue, no matter how she justifies taking a life, it’s still traumatizing.
“According to Brick, the Vasquez Cartel didn’t hit the clubhouse, and after what I heard Chauncey saying tonight before we killed him, it was definitely the fucking Street Lords,” I relay the information to my brothers after Rock called church.
“So, them yelling about VFC at the gate was a setup?” Mix questions.
“Yes. They intentionally tried to make us think the cartel wanted a war. Just like that ATF bitch tried to set us up to take out the Vasquez Cartel. After all this time, the Street Lords are still working with the fucking ATF,” I respond, pissed off all over again.
I’m glad that Brick was only shot in the shoulder. He’s recovering in a private hospital right now, and his supervisors pulled him off the case after he told them that his cover was blown.
Brick’s higher-ups think he was shot when someone found out his identity, but he got away. They don’t know about Chauncey or his buddies because we got rid of the bodies. Brick’s supervisors decided to make the VFC believe he died in an accident so they wouldn’t look for him.
I’m glad Brick is no longer undercover, but now we don’t have an inside track on the cartel and how they’re moving.
But I’d rather my brother be safe. Hopefully, I can talk him into resigning from the ATF.
Even though Brick goes by a different last name than me, I’m pretty sure someone in his department is close to figuring out our connection.
I think that’s the reason Agent Parson was sniffing around.
My brother doesn’t agree with me, though.
Brick said that Parson is a cutthroat agent who would do anything to be on top.
He thinks she came to me because of my connection to the Hounds, not because of him.
Parson bringing him up in conversation was a fishing expedition, but I don’t trust it.
We’ll keep an eye on her, but while Brick recovers, I’m going to continue trying to get him to quit.
His identity is safe for now because there aren’t very many people, counting the ones in this room, who know that Brick is my baby brother. And for now, I’m going to keep it that way.
Now that we know that the ATF and the Street Lords are still working together, there’s no telling what we will deal with in the future. Neither the Street Lords nor the ATF came out of nowhere. A few years ago, they were a major issue.
However, when we handled Kevin by keeping him in jail and killing both of his illegitimate kids, we thought we’d heard the last of them. The ATF and the Street Lords had been out of our hair ever since. But it looks like they were just building up resources to come after us again.
“So, this guy is Christopher ‘Fang’ Samuels. He’s been a Street Lord for a few years, and has a record longer than my arm. He and Chauncey were cellmates in the Mack Alford Correctional Center in Atoka, Oklahoma,” Wire reports on our captive.
“Where Kevin Frazier was serving his time. I guess that’s how Chaucey got mixed up with them. I’ll be damned!” I rub my hands through my messy hair in exasperation.
“All roads lead back to Kevin Frazier. Can we please kill him now?” Crush asks seriously.
“Yes, we can. As soon as we find out where that motherfucker is,” Rock replies, cracking his knuckles.
“It’s time we end this shit once and for all, and it’s a good thing that we have a Street Lord in the basement that can tell us what we need to know.”
The smile that graces my face is full of wicked intent. These motherfuckers have terrorized us for the last time. This shit ends right fucking now!
We leave the conference room and head down to the cells where we keep anybody who needs a Hellhound special. Over the years, we have increased our security along with our methods for extracting information. When we finish with the Street Lord, it will be like he never existed.
Rock presses his hand against the scanner that leads to the cells, and the doors swish open quietly.
We file into the large room where Stone is already set up.
His alter ego Death is present, and I know he’s hanging on by a thread.
I can see the rage trying to take over. If there’s one thing about Death, he doesn’t take kindly to rats.
When we walk into the room, the Street Lord is tied to the chair. His hands and feet are restrained, and he’s wearing a gag. I can tell by his eyes that he’s scared shitless.
Good.
“Where’s Kevin Frazier?” I ask, nodding at Death to take the gag off.
After the gag is removed, the fucker coughs. He’s looking around, stuttering instead of answering my question. I know he’s stalling, but we don’t have time for that shit, so I nod to Death.
Death slams his fist into the side of the man’s head. The sickening sound of flesh hitting flesh reverberates around the room. The man howls out in pain, and the sound is like music to my ears.
“Where’s Kevin Frazier?” I ask again.
The man spits out blood, looking in my direction. His gaze is unfocused, and I can tell that Death’s punch rocked his shit. Too bad for him that was soft compared to what Death can actually do. If he doesn’t answer my questions, he’s gonna find out firsthand just how bad it can get for him.
“Alright boys, we’re gonna hit this crew hard. We don’t lose a soul tonight. You feel me?” Rock hollers to the brothers as we get ready to move on the Street Lords.
Old Fang sang like a fucking canary when Death went to work on his ass. In his defense, he lasted longer than a lot of people. After he told us the Street Lords’ plans, his death was swift. There’s nothing left of his body to find, so he’s just another demon that we sent to hell.
We make it just outside of Fort Worth to the Street Lords’ place. It’s a nondescript building that you wouldn’t know existed unless somebody told you it was there. It’s pretty big, but not as big as the Hounds’ clubhouse.
Wire spent all day getting the specs and layout so we wouldn’t go in blind. That same night, we made our move. The bastards have no idea that we’re coming, and they won’t know what hit them.
When Wire confirmed that Kevin, along with Myers, was in the building, we knew it was our chance to end this shit once and for all.
It’s too bad that Parson isn’t here as well.
Even though Brick says she’s just an opportunist, I think that bitch is dirty.
I’ll keep looking until I have proof, though.
If she’s indeed dirty as I think she is, she’ll get what’s coming to her. Even if it’s just for trying to set Brick up. If she’d gone to anyone else with her bogus concern, Brick would’ve wound up dead.
My blood is boiling at the thought of my brother being in danger and, worse yet, my fucking woman. I’m ready to blow up the entire city block behind Blue, but I can’t do that. So, the next best thing is to kill every motherfucker that ain’t a Hellhound.
We move silently to get to the blind spots of their surveillance.
Once we’re there, we enter quickly through a side door.
There’s loud music playing and people talking.
These asshole have the audacity to have a party like they didn’t just try to kill us.
They’re probably celebrating, thinking their little scam of starting a war between us and the cartel worked.
We sneak closer and notice it’s not exactly a party. There are only the men here, but most importantly, Kevin and Myers are in the room. They’re sitting at the head of a large table like two kings.
“Look at these two backstabbing motherfuckers. Ace, are you in position?” Rock asks through the comms we’re all wearing.
“Yep, ready when you are, Prez,” Ace answers.
“It’s a go.”
Ace fires his high-powered rifle without a sound. When Myers’ head jerks back and his body hits the floor with a loud thud, the Street Lords have a delayed reaction. They look around, confused, for a minute, but once they realize the ex-detective is dead, it’s too late.
“Shoot everything movin’,” Rock directs.
The Hounds do as instructed. We go in guns blazing. The Street Lords don’t have a large crew, so it is easy to take them out without much pushback. They didn’t even know what hit them. The sorry motherfuckers.
Rock shoots Frazier as he was running away. Frazier drops to the ground and begins crawling, bleeding tremendously from everywhere. Our former brother in arms is going out like the snake he’s always been, slithering on his belly to get away from the chaos he’s caused.
“After all these years, you’re still a fucking coward,” I say, kicking Frazier so he is on his back.
“Fuck you motherfucker,” Frazier says, coughing up blood. “I ain’t goin’ out like this. I got outta jail after over a decade. I ain’t dying on no dirty ass floor.”
Frazier’s breathing is labored, and I can tell by the gurgling in his words that his lungs are filling with blood. Even if I didn’t plan to end him tonight, the damage has been done. He would die in less than an hour.
It’s a shame, really. All this buildup to find him, and he dies without us torturing him. He’s getting off easy if you ask me.
“Right here on this dirty ass floor is exactly where you’re gonna die, motherfucker,” I say, pointing my gun at his head. “Burn in hell!” I pull the trigger, lighting his ass up.
Frazier’s body jerks violently, but I empty the clip on his ass. All those years of betrayal vanish in an instant. The man has done so much harm that I’m filled with regret for not killing him sooner. But it’s finally time to put the past to rest and move on with the woman of my dreams.
“Hounds, let’s move. Burn this motherfucker to the ground!” Rock yells out.
The hellfire we leave in our wake is a warning for any other bastards who think they can fuck with us. We’ll give you hell by any means, no matter how long it may take.
