Chapter 7
CHAPTER SEVEN
HELLO, COMMITTEE
Aldrich
The last time Aldrich was in Toronto, he fucked Sorinah all over his townhouse.
It was doubtful they would get any alone time on this trip.
He was in town for a family get-together, the first time he would celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving.
In a few hours, there was to be a huge family dinner at Ambrose and Nakinah’s Toronto residence.
“Hello, I thought I’d stop by and be your welcoming committee,” Sorinah announced when she arrived at his front door.
“Hello, Committee.” He smiled, opening the door for her to walk past him. He took her hand and closed the door, then cupped her face, kissing her. It had been two weeks since they had last seen each other.
Over the last three months, they had met up a handful of times on Sorinah’s business trips.
During their time together in London, Antwerp, Lisbon, and Stockholm, they shared exhilarating and liberating experiences.
They barely came up for air. Each time they came together, it was thrilling.
Their exploration of each other revealed hidden desires and unspoken fantasies.
Even if her trips weren’t close to his location, Aldrich would have made time to see her. Getting together was not only fun, but it was refreshing, getting to be himself. She was the ultimate stress reliever.
“I thought you would be busy helping your sister prepare for dinner.”
She pulled her phone out of her skirt pocket. “I’m on an errand picking up more items.”
“Aren’t you helpful? How long will it take you to pick up the items on your list?”
“Oh, I dunno, an hour. Maybe I could get away with an hour and a half.”
“Why don’t you send me your list, and Bernard will get those picked up for you.”
Bernard was Aldrich’s assistant, and in the last few months, Sorinah had gotten to know him well.
“Would you leave poor Bernard alone?” She scrunched her nose at him.
“You know Bernard is well compensated for his time. Besides, if he helps you with your list, you can do other things.” He trailed a hand up her arm.
Sorinah tried and failed to keep her smile from taking over her face. “You should have led with that.”
“I thought you would have put it together with no help,” he said, forwarding the message.
“You talk too much, DH.”
He gripped her by the waist and spun her around without warning. Aldrich bent her over the sofa.
“Stay put.” A smack on her ass accompanied his command.
She grumbled as he retrieved protection from his bag, but she didn’t move.
They had very little time. So, he had her panties off and was sinking into her warmth without preamble.
The way she moaned as he slowly pulled out, then slid his length into her pussy was almost enough to make him come. He reached around to cup her breasts.
She swatted his hand away. “Nope. I can’t go back there looking like I’ve been fucked.”
“Sounds like a you problem.” He chuckled.
“Do not make an enemy of me,” she growled.
“Fine,” he relented. He wouldn’t leave her in a position to be embarrassed in front of their families.
Besides playing with her breasts, which was really for him, he had become very adept at making her come. Adjusting his strokes, he concentrated on her sweet spot. Finding her pearl slick, he rubbed in firm, sensual circles.
“God, you’re so wet,” he praised, as the sound of their bodies coming together filled the air.
Despite the shortness of her hair, he gripped it. No one could say he didn’t live bravely. She was going to kill him. Before she could tear into him, he turned her head and kissed her. With every stroke of his tongue, her walls tightened around his dick.
“Damn, you feel good,” he groaned.
She was close, and he was right there with her. His strokes became punishing as he pushed them both to their release.
They took a moment for their breaths to return to normal. Then they slowly separated from each other.
“My damn hair! Really!?” She poked at his chest.
Unbothered, he grabbed her hand and sucked on the offending digit. “You’ll be okay once you fix your hair.”
His laughter rang out as she shot him an icy glare.
“Well, I’m going to freshen up,” she announced, already heading to the powder room.
“Make yourself at home,” he called after her as she closed the powder room door.
The other washroom on the same floor was where Aldrich disposed of his condom.
When he returned to the living room, he heard her call out. “Hey DH, can you please get my purse from my car?”
“Oh, now you got broughtupsy. Go on, unlock your car door.”
“It isn’t locked.”
The neighbourhood was safe, but they would definitely have a talk about that later—he wasn’t a fan of leaving cars unlocked, no matter how secure the area seemed.
The groceries had been dropped off by Bernard, and her car was packed by the time she finished in the washroom.
“Thank you for having the groceries picked up and keeping me occupied.”
“My pleasure,” he responded.
“So, when are you coming over to Nakinah’s?”
“In about an hour. I’m going to take a shower first. I respect my family too much to show up freshly fucked,” he said with a smirk, closing the door behind him.
He didn’t miss the double bird she flipped him, her gesture both playful and exasperated, making him chuckle as he headed for the bathroom.
Getting under her skin was his new superpower. One he enjoyed way too much.
True to his word, he arrived at his brother’s place an hour later, freshly showered, bearing dessert and a few bottles of wine.
The aroma of a Thanksgiving meal filled the air, with the rich scent of roasted turkey mingling with the spices of Trinidadian dishes.
Hints of cinnamon and nutmeg combined with the fragrant curry and callaloo made his mouth water.
“Happy Thanksgiving, Aldrich,” Nakinah greeted, giving him a hug.
“Happy Thanksgiving. I brought some dessert and wine.” Aldrich held up the bags.
“I told you, you didn’t have to bring anything.”
“I couldn’t show up with my hands swinging…
“… like a boxer,” she finished for him with a light chuckle.
“You are officially a Trini.” He winked at her.
“Eh, watch yourself. Stop winking at my wife,” his brother greeted.
“Doh worry, she already happily settled for the less handsome Chapman.”
“Aldrich, I think you bounced your head. Come, put those bags in the kitchen.”
The kitchen buzzed with activity as women gathered around, cooking, stirring, and preparing meals for the upcoming family dinner.
Counters were lined with covered dishes, each filled with mouthwatering food, while pots on the stove simmered with rich aromas.
The kitchen had become the heart of the home, where laughter and the clatter of utensils created a symphony of warmth and togetherness.
“Good afternoon, ladies,” he called.
After putting the bags on the counter as directed, Aldrich moved around, giving personal greetings to all the ladies in the room.
He started with Vickram’s mom, whom he called Aunty Vishnu out of respect, then moved on to his mother, enduring the patting of his cheeks and the inquiry of when he last ate.
Out of the office, he was her baby boy, and she never let him forget it.
Then he greeted Dinah and her sister-in-law, and last but not least, Sorinah, who barely lifted her head in greeting, but he saw the ghost of a smile on her lips.
Then, the ladies ceremoniously shooed him out of the kitchen, relegating him to spend time with the other men in the living room.
They were watching a European football game.
They barely greeted him, his father included.
Mars and his cousin were the only ones who chatted with him.
Mostly about his car. They had seen him pull up and had questions.
Some might say his timing was amazing because not thirty minutes later, the early dinner was ready.
Ambrose tapped a glass with a fork.
“Before we say grace and grab our meals, Nakinah and I wanted to thank you all for being here and to share the news of the addition to our family.”
The words were barely out of his brother’s mouth when the room erupted in applause.
Once upon a time, he thought Ambrose would be the lifelong bachelor and he would be the one settled down with a family.
Now their roles were reversed. It surprised Aldrich how content he was with how things had worked out.
His brother was married to an amazing woman.
Nakinah was a welcome addition to their family.
He looked over at his mother. For once, her feelings were clearly displayed. She had been eager to have grandchildren. This announcement was her dream come true. He was happy his brother could do that for her. Aldrich wouldn’t be giving her grandchildren.
The start of the meal was delayed because of the excitement of Ambrose and Nakinah’s news. Everyone had so many questions. In the end, it took the couple half an hour to answer them with enough satisfaction to get the meal started.
His sister-in-law was four months pregnant.
Both Ambrose and Nakinah wanted to know the gender of the baby but weren’t sure if they would share it with everyone.
She would give birth in Canada, but the baby would have dual citizenship.
Once Dinah and his mother, who asked the bulk of the questions, were satisfied, it was time to eat.
Aldrich was surprised to find although the table was elegantly set, they didn’t assign seating.
During his childhood, holidays were very formal, and there were place cards to show where you should sit.
He didn’t have any objections. It was a nice change.
Since his brother and Nakinah had gotten together, he had spent time with everyone in attendance, except Vickram’s brother.
Rohan had missed all the previous gatherings.
Rohan was a journalist and had a lot of praise for Velkomst hotel chain. He had a conversation with the man, during which he was very distracted, unable to continue his train of thought. It took Aldrich a while to discover that the source of the man’s distraction was… Sorinah.
