Chapter 5

If Ethan had known kissing Jacob would feel this good, he would have come to his senses ages ago. How had this man been right in front of him the whole time?

Ethan groaned into the kiss. It made him feel alive, had him eager in a way he couldn't ignore.

Jacob's hands on his face were loose but firm, like he was afraid Ethan would disappear if he let go. Ethan's hands moved to Jacob's waist. He needed to be grounded too, needed to hold on, because his heart was quite literally about to beat out of his chest.

Eventually they both had to come up for air, and when they did, Jacob's swollen lips had Ethan smiling.

“I'm happy that you're happy, sweetheart,” Jacob whispered. His thumbs stroked along Ethan's jaw as if he were trying to memorize every single piece of the other man.

Ethan couldn't resist what came next. He had waited a long time. He'd been good and patient and had fought hard to have this moment.

“Daddy,” he said in a soft tone.

Jacob jolted nonetheless, like he'd been zapped. Internally, Ethan smirked, but on the outside he kept his cool and tipped his face up expectantly.

“More kisses,” he said in a cute yet demanding tone.

Jacob chuckled, then pressed his lips to Ethan's again in a tender kiss that Ethan felt all the way to his toes. He hummed happily, and Jacob chuckled again. They kissed for a long while, neither of them wanting to move past the moment.

After a few more minutes they managed to separate, and Ethan watched as his new Daddy, the man he'd wanted for so long, pressed his hand to the obvious erection he was sporting.

Ethan gulped, his body lighting up with both lust and hesitation. “Daddy,” he said again, his eyes not moving from the way the sweats clung to Jacob's body.

“Yes, sweetheart?” Jacob replied in a gruff voice.

It was Ethan's turn to shiver. He tugged at the other man's waist, pulling him forward until they were pressed against one another.

Then Ethan rolled his hips. The height of the stool had him lined up with Jacob's waist perfectly.

Jacob dropped his forehead to Ethan's at the contact. It felt even more intimate somehow.

“I wanna help,” Ethan whispered.

Jacob opened his mouth as if he was going to disagree. Ethan shook his head, shifting against him even more. It was enough of a distraction to make Jacob quiet.

With quick, sharp movements, Ethan rutted against his Daddy, chasing the pleasure he knew would come. It built and built, grew to a crescendo. He held on as long as he could because he wanted his Daddy to come too. He wanted to feel the other man fall apart with him.

As much as he tried to hold out, Ethan's body had other plans. His orgasm crashed forward. In the whirlwind of it, Jacob took the moment to kiss him. They shared the same breath. Hands roamed greedily. And with it all combined, Ethan fell off the cliff and dove straight into his release.

Jacob was panting when he pulled back. His pupils were completely blown and his body sagged as if all the tension he'd ever carried had finally left him.

Ethan looked down, and the growing wet spot on Jacob's pants made him giggle. “We messy, Daddy.”

Jacob smiled at that. His hands ran along Ethan's jaw, over the scruff that always seemed to stick around no matter how much Ethan tried to get rid of it.

“Seems like we are, sweetheart. Why don't we get cleaned up and then I can feed you properly like I'd planned to?”

Ethan smiled, nodding at the offer. He would never turn down food from his Daddy. Even though it was new, it somehow felt right already. Like Jacob was always meant to be his Daddy and he'd just been too stubborn to say so.

They showered together, which somewhat defeated the purpose of cleaning up. Because they were still so new to this being-together thing, their hands roamed once more. Their shower was extended because they both needed to be cleaned a second time.

Jacob had even dropped to his knees and taken Ethan's cock down his throat like he'd been starving for it. Ethan wanted to return the favor, but his legs were so wobbly his Daddy wouldn't allow it.

“I won't risk you getting hurt for my own pleasure. Besides, I quite enjoyed being the giver.”

Ethan nodded numbly. He didn't have anything to say to that. He could barely form words, bouncing back and forth between his Little mindset and wanting to experience every bit of pleasure he could with Jacob. He was stumbling over himself.

Once they were actually clean, Jacob pulled out some baggy clothes for Ethan to wear. At first, Ethan had thought they wouldn't fit, but when he slid them on he found that his Daddy knew him better than he'd expected.

At his confused look, Jacob admitted that he'd bought the items in the event that he and Ethan ever got together. “I wanted to be prepared,” he admitted.

“Mmmhmm. Feels good. You bestest, Daddy.”

Despite the confident words from before, his Daddy blushed. Ethan gave him a quick kiss, then trotted over to his stool. He didn't want to miss a second of his Daddy cooking.

Jacob chuckled and went back to it, understanding exactly what Ethan wanted.

The night wore on with Jacob testing out different ingredients and toppings, and Ethan sampling them to confirm what he liked best.

“I probably should have fed you dinner,” Jacob said at one point, “instead of all these snacks.”

Ethan shook his head, putting another cookie in his mouth. “Snacks good, Daddy. Nu-tri-shush.”

The word came out butchered, but Jacob understood him well enough. Further proof that they were a good pair.

“Well, I'm happy if you're happy.”

They ended the night watching cartoons on Jacob's couch. Ethan had thought about going home, but his Daddy had insisted he stay.

“You can lay low here for a few days. I know you're worried about your old boss coming to confront you. When I'm on shift at the club, you'll come with me, and that way I can keep an eye on you.”

Ethan had agreed, not because he was scared, but because the idea of being around Jacob longer, of having him as his Daddy past that one night, gave him peace. Jacob had made it very clear he wanted all of Ethan’s time and attention.

The next morning, Ethan woke to the smell of pancakes. He knew there were pancakes because Jacob was standing at the foot of the bed holding a massive plate of them.

“Good morning, sleepyhead,” he said. “I've got breakfast ready for you.”

Ethan sat up. The shirt he had on slid off his shoulder a bit, and he did not miss the way his Daddy's eyes trailed over the exposed skin.

He wanted to seduce the other man, wanted to show him just how happy he was to have a Daddy of his own. The real joy of it came in the fact Jacob held the title. Not any Daddy would do.

But his traitorous stomach chose that exact moment to growl, and he knew from the look in his Daddy's eye that he would get nothing until he was properly fed.

There was one thing Jacob didn't play about, and it was food. Made sense given his career.

Thinking about careers had Ethan worrying about his own. He still needed to figure out a plan for his health insurance. He couldn't go long without his meds or his appointments. It didn't bode well for him when he stopped, hence why he'd been working with Ash for so long.

“What's got you down?” Jacob asked after setting a plate in front of him.

He had cut the pancakes into small bites, and before Ethan could reach for the fork, it was already in Jacob's hand and Ethan was being fed.

Ethan smiled, opening his mouth obediently. Jacob took the opportunity to pop the first bite in before Ethan could speak.

“You can tell me after the first bite, sweetheart, but we've got to get some food in you first.”

Ethan giggled and chewed, because he knew his Daddy wouldn't listen otherwise. Once he swallowed, he spoke to answer the original questions.

“I was thinking about work stuff; about how I no longer have the one thing that was keeping me insured. I need insurance. Desperately. So I have to start looking for work right away.” He spoke in his Big mode because Littles didn’t know much about health insurance.

Jacob frowned. “I think taking a few days off to relax is a good idea after everything you've been through. Once you’re more balanced, we can make a plan for your next work adventure.”

While Ethan agreed, he couldn't very well ignore the situation and let things get worse. Considering how he'd quit, Ash could choose to cut off his insurance coverage before the end of the month, even. He didn't think the other man was cruel that way, but he didn't want to risk it.

“Two days,” Ethan agreed, though he wasn't sure how he would manage even that. His mind would likely pour over everything in the meantime.

“We'll agree to disagree,” Jacob said as he spooned another bite into Ethan's mouth.

Ethan ate happily as Jacob told him about their plans for the day. Jacob had called into the club and let them know he was spending the day with Ethan. Koa had been happy to agree, especially since the new sous chef they'd hired was more than capable of taking over.

“But, Daddy—” Ethan had started.

“No, sweetheart. No excuses. Everything will be fine.

Noah is talented enough to take care of things.

I wouldn't have hired him if he wasn't. Aside from a produce delivery, he's handled everything else ahead of time.

And even then, Dill knows the process forward and back.

They'll be able to walk Noah through it all.”

Ethan wasn't entirely convinced, because Dill was a bit of a brat and probably wouldn't take kindly to walking a new hire through anything. Then again, he'd been blind to Jacob for years. Maybe he was wrong about Dill too.

After breakfast, Jacob set Ethan up in the living room with comfortable blankets and a playlist of cartoons. Ethan was immediately captivated the moment they came on screen. Nothing else in the room mattered.

He knew his Daddy was moving about somewhere behind him, probably cleaning up the kitchen, but he was too caught up in what was happening on screen to pay it any mind.

When Jacob came to sit with him, Ethan looked over. “Daddy,” he said, smiling brightly.

Jacob smiled back. He very obviously liked hearing that word come from Ethan's mouth. Ethan intended to use it abundantly.

“Enjoying your cartoons, sweetheart?” Jacob asked.

Ethan nodded, then pointed at the TV. “Me like. Best,” he said.

Jacob looked over and noticed it was a show featuring dogs who could talk. It shared little lessons about life and was really popular among Littles in general, as well as people with young children. “Good to know. I'll make sure to put this one on whenever you're here since it's your favorite.”

Ethan nodded excitedly, because the idea of being with Jacob even more made him ridiculously happy.

It was at that moment that his phone rang, disturbing the peace between them. Ethan frowned. He knew that ringtone.

Why in the world was Ash calling him?

At his frown, Jacob reached over and picked up the device. When he saw the name on the screen, he shook his head. “We're not answering him.”

Though Ethan had already decided the same thing himself, it was good to hear his Daddy agree.

With the phone set to silent, Ethan snuggled closer to his Daddy and settled in to keep watching his show.

He didn't think about his old job or his insurance or anything else.

He was too content to be upset by those kinds of things.
