Chapter 5 Dinner Plans

That night, I leaned in Gu Chao Nan's arms watching a horror movie.

The plot was too boring, both of us lacked interest.

I was unsure whether to tell him now.

But Gu Chao Nan suddenly spoke.

"Better not let Xie Yi Heng be our best man."

I inexplicably felt relieved.

Asked him: "Why?"

Gu Chao Nan rubbed his nose against my neck.

"He's injured, inconvenient, and the implication isn't good, might jinx our perfect love."

I looked at him in surprise: "You're superstitious?"

He didn't confirm or deny.

"Intuition."

"Moreover, the way he looks at you is off, hope I'm overthinking, otherwise this brotherhood ends."

I expressionlessly turned away.

Indeed, better to say after the wedding.

Gu Chao Nan lived abroad long-term.

Rarely back, naturally had many dinners with friends.

I didn't want to meet Xie Yi Heng and their mutual friends.

I basically didn't go.

Actually, few knew about our marriage back then.

We weren't sociable, directly honeymooned, treated it as a travel wedding.

Social circles didn't show faces, not much different from a hidden marriage.

After refusing many times, Gu Chao Nan pitifully hugged me.

"Wen Yu, accompany me once, otherwise I'm so pitiful."

I raised an eyebrow: "Not afraid I'll meet Xie Yi Heng?"

"Didn't invite him, all my high school friends, don't know him."

I couldn't stand his puppy look, so I agreed.

At the private room, indeed all new faces.

I relaxed.

Heard many of Gu Chao Nan's embarrassing stories.

The atmosphere was harmonious and joyful.

Until Xie Yi Heng pushed the door open.

Shen Le Yue followed behind, as if she couldn't stop him.
