Epilogue
Sage
My parents took the news better than I thought, but we had to promise to celebrate with them in some way and allow them to buy us a wedding gift. We didn’t see Nova again for the rest of the night, and I didn’t ask my parents if she was still there.
I simply have to accept that this is the way it is between us now.
I didn’t have the right to do what I did, but I don’t regret it and I would likely do it again given the chance.
It hurts not having her in my life, but she’s okay.
She’s going to be okay. I haven’t seen her look that good in a long time.
And Barrett is right—this is technically our wedding day and the day we’ll forever celebrate an anniversary. Either this, or the day I walked into his club to blackmail him.
“Strip.” His deep command snaps me out of my thoughts and changes everything inside me.
He slams the front door with an echo. Heat pools in my core and my muscles relax.
For the last few months, since pulling ourselves from the fear and shock of everything that happened with Dorian Campbell, we’ve never allowed anything to interfere with this part of our relationship.
One word, one tone, or one action will easily pull us into the right dynamic.
I pull my clothes free, leaving them draped over the back of the couch. Once I’m naked, he nods to my pet bed near the fire. Sitting there is a box with a sparkling bow on top.
“You’ve already gotten me a wedding present.”
“Your ring doesn’t count as a present. Open it.” There’s a promise in those two words.
Kneeling on the fluffy bed, I pull the top off the box. I bite my lip and my body tingles. It’s a new tail, red and white, more like the colouring of a wild fox, and a set of ears to match. They’re beautiful with excellent detail, and the ears also have little piercings in them.
“Daddy, I love them.”
“Good. Put the ears on then stick that pretty ass in the air, pet.”
“Yes, Daddy.” I slip the ears on and revel in the grin on his face. Slowly, I move onto my hands and knees, arching my back and lowering my chest.
“Beautiful.” He takes the tail out of the box. There’s no packaging on anything, so I know he’s already prepped it before wrapping. “Are you ready, pet?”
“Yes, Daddy.” This is the happiest I’ve ever been in my life. When I’m with him, holding this kind of power over both our desires.
When I’m Daddy’s little fox.
