Chapter 375 Meet Zaras Father

There was actually someone in this world whose imagination ran even wilder than Zara's.

Lucian nearly burst out laughing.

Zara waved a hand dismissively. "You're overthinking it. Even if he is after my money, there's nothing he can do. By law, everything I earn is my personal property and has absolutely nothing to do with anyone else. Don't worry. If he tries to guilt-trip me, I'll deal with him."

Peter stared at her in shock. "Zara, you'd really turn against your own father over money?"

"You don't just have a low IQ. You don't even know how to use words properly!" Zara snapped. "If he's only after my money, I just won't acknowledge him as my father. Problem solved."

Peter fell silent.

Lucian was beginning to think that no one in this family thought like a normal person.

Karen asked the most important question. "Zara, now that you've found your dad, what are we supposed to call him?"

"Just call him Dad like I do," Zara answered without hesitation. "We're all family, so there's no need to make a big deal out of it."

Zara continued, "We'll have lunch together today.

Afterward, your brother-in-law and I have to go somewhere far away, and we may be gone for a while.

While we're away, stay home and carry on as usual.

Those of you in school should go to school, and those of you with jobs should go to work.

If anything happens, contact Allen. If necessary, I'll have my dad look after you. "

Everyone fell silent.

Zara had arranged everything so quickly and decisively that they were left struggling to keep up.

Nancy suddenly asked, "Zara, where did you find your father?"

"On a beautiful, sunny day, fate brought us together through a series of coincidences," Zara replied.

Karen asked, "Is Dad handsome?"

"Karen, what's gotten into you?" Wilson immediately scolded. "You shouldn't be thinking like that!"

Karen pouted. She had only been asking.

No matter how many questions they asked, however, they still could not make much sense of the situation. After finishing her announcement, Zara called Owen and invited him to lunch so he could meet the entire family at once.

It was the first time Owen learned that Zara had taken in so many younger siblings.

When he heard that she had two brothers and two sisters, he was astonished. "You found all of them?"

More importantly, why had Zara been going around finding children and raising them?

"I didn't exactly find all of them myself." Zara thought back to the past.

"The old scavenger who raised me brought home one brother and one sister, and I helped take care of them. After she passed away, I found two more. The anniversary of her death is coming up. I'll need to visit her grave when the time comes."

"You should," Owen agreed. "I'll go with you."

The woman had found Zara and raised her for so many years. Owen felt deeply grateful to her.

Raising Zara could not possibly have been easy.

"There's no rush," Zara said. "Come have lunch with us today and get to know everyone. Since I'll be heading over there soon, I'll need you to keep an eye on them while I'm gone."

Zara saw absolutely nothing wrong with asking the father she had only just met to look after all her younger siblings.

Then she added earnestly, "Don't be a stranger. Just treat them like your own sons and daughters."

Owen fell silent.

He had only just found out he was a father, and now he was apparently gaining several more children all at once.

For a moment, he had no idea how to respond. His emotions were far too complicated to put into words.

It seemed that many things truly were nothing like he had imagined.

After ending the call, Zara saw Aurelion sauntering over, his tail swishing behind him. "Your father?"

Zara was the Holy Heir of the other world. If that man was her father, then wouldn't that make him...

Only then did Zara remember that Aurelion knew nothing about this. She paused and warned him, "You'd better keep this to yourself."

Aurelion's beady eyes slanted toward her as though he had finally gotten some dirt on her, and a smug grin spread across his face. "What do you think? Will I tell anyone?"

Zara remained perfectly calm. "Do you want to go keep Noctilion company?"

Aurelion fell silent.

Then he snapped furiously, "Is threatening me the only thing you know how to do? We've been through so much together! You could at least beg me. All you have to do is ask nicely, and I promise I won't tell anyone."

Zara beat him up.

Some dragons simply needed regular discipline, or they started getting ideas above their station.

Certain dragons had been born asking for it.

Dino was not nearly as quick to grasp the implications. He was only mildly surprised that Zara had found her father. It was not until noon, when he heard that Zara intended to take both him and Aurelion along to meet the man, that the realization finally hit him.

"Is Zara's dad the Holy Sovereign?" Dino asked.

Aurelion stared at him. "You're only figuring that out now? Do you ever think about anything besides Peppa Pig?"

Dino whimpered, "I didn't know."

Zara stuffed Aurelion into her backpack. "No talking. Stay in there and keep your mouth shut."

Since Dino looked like an ordinary pet pig, she could take him into the hotel without any trouble.

Because they were meeting Zara's father for lunch, all her younger siblings had dressed rather formally.

Karen wore a pretty Western-style dress, while Soraya had on an identical one.

As for why they were bringing Soraya too, it would have felt wrong to leave her behind when the entire family was going.

What if she thought they were excluding her and developed some emotional issues because of it?

In the dress, Soraya looked like a delicate little doll, or an angel who had somehow fallen into the mortal world. Her eyes seemed to hold entire galaxies, sparkling so brightly that it was almost dazzling.

Any family lucky enough to have a daughter like her would surely treasure her beyond measure.

She would have been even more perfect if she had not loved meat quite so much.

Wilson and Peter cleaned up surprisingly well too, and with Nancy leading the group, they looked like a gathering of handsome men and beautiful women.

On the way to the restaurant, several people asked for their phone numbers. When they learned that everyone was part of the same family, they could not stop marveling over them.

What kind of parents could produce so many good-looking children?

Zara, who was the only one no one asked for a number, felt deeply discriminated against.

Naturally, Lucian was supposed to meet Owen as well.

However, he was still the president of a major company. Since he would soon be accompanying Zara to the other world and had no idea how long they would be gone, he needed to make arrangements beforehand.

He had gone back to the office to settle everything and planned to join them for lunch.

He had also asked his secretary to book the restaurant, choosing the most luxurious hotel in Magior and reserving a private dining room.

The moment they entered the lavish and elegant lobby, Wilson could not help remarking, "You can tell right away Zara would never pay for a place like this."

Peter immediately agreed. "This has Brother-in-law written all over it."

Zara glared at them. "What exactly are you two implying?"

Wilson and Peter exchanged a look.

They said nothing, but both let out a meaningful sigh.

No words were necessary.
