Chapter 45

Daisy

I was sitting in a room with several bunk beds, a couple of dressers, a vanity with a shit ton of makeup that rivaled the dressing room at a strip club, and several women. They brought me to lay down, offered me clothes, and gave me some water.

“Where’s your cut?” one of the blonde women asked.

My brow drew together in confusion. “My cut?”

“Did you lose it when they snatched ya?” the other blonde asked.

“I’d just die if I had one and lost it,” the red-haired woman said as she twirled her hair.

They all wore cut-off shorts with frayed edges and tiny tank tops with heels. They were pretty and seemed nice enough, albeit nosy. But so was I; I couldn’t fault them

“Let her be. She’s been through it.” The only brunette in the room gave me a warm smile. “Need something stronger than that?” she asked as she glanced at my water.

I shook my head. My throat still felt like sandpaper from screaming and having something stuffed in my mouth for, well, I wasn’t sure how long it was. It felt like days. But it was still dark out and I didn’t think there had been daylight. Even with the cover over my head, I could make out passing lights outside of the van. But maybe I was hallucinating since they thought I was his old lady. Why else would they wonder about my cut?

The door opened and Falcon filled the space. My throat bobbed as pressure built behind my eyes, but no tears formed. The women all smiled at me then left as he stepped inside the room. I was so tired I could barely push myself up, but he lay next to me and pulled me against him, digging his face into my hair.

I relaxed against his warmth and a tear of relief finally escaped my eye, trickling down the side of my face. “You came for me,” I managed to whisper.

He tightened his hold around my back and cupped the back of my head. “I’ll always come for you, Daisy. This shouldn’t have happened.”

“You’re here now.” I dug my nose into his chest.

“Why don’t we clean you up so you can get some sleep?” he asked as he pulled me in tighter.

Finally blinking my eyes, I noticed dark spots all over his shirt. Pulling back more, I took in the sight of him. When he first came in, I was so happy to see him it didn’t hit me that he looked like he’d be run through mud then tossed in a dryer. Even his beard was disheveled, and he tended to that more than some women tended to their hair.

The dark spots were blood. “Are you alright?” I gasped.

He nodded and ran his thumb over my cheek then gripped my chin, pulling me to him. It was a quick peck, but I reached for his face and pulled him back for a better one. My lips stung but I didn’t care. I needed to be completely attached to him. If I could climb into his pants, I would have. I spent so much time fighting for space, but all I wanted right now was to be as close to him as I could.

Reaching between us, I took his already hard cock in my hand. He broke the kiss and my lips chased his as they pulled away. He ran his thumb over my pouty bottom lip. “You’ve had a shit day. I don’t want to hurt you.”

Desperate for him, tears squeezed from the corners of my eyes as my pussy throbbed with want. “Derek, I need you right now. Please.”

His mouth crashed against mine, and I forced my jeans and panties down and off my legs, not even bothering with my thick boot socks. He slid off the side of the bed and pulled me to the edge as I worked his belt and opened his jeans, pulling out my prize.

It all happened in such a frenzy. I scooted my ass practically off the bed and pulled him into me. We both moaned as he filled me. My hands rushed beneath his shirt so I could feel his skin before running over his perfect hard ass over his jeans and squeezed, making him drive harder and harder into me. My hands went up, gripping his shoulders for leverage and touching him as much as I could.

All I could focus on was his body against mine, each thrust, the wet and slapping sounds of our bodies as he brought me closer to release. One of his hands dipped between us and he ran his thumb over my clit and after just a few strokes, my body exploded, stars bursting behind my eyes.

“Come for me, darlin’. That’s it,” he said in a low timber.

I tensed around him, my legs locking him in but as I stopped pulsing around his cock, he moved his thumb, then pushed my hips back. Brows drawn but still panting, I looked down to see him spurting his cum down my thigh. “Oh fuck, Falcon, I’m sorry.”

He leaned back in and took my mouth with his. With a final rumble in his chest, he pulled away. “Don’t be. You felt so fucking good. I can’t wait for the day I shoot inside you.”

He kissed me hard. Still panting I said, “You know that isn’t fool-proof? Pull and pray ends with a lot of unwanted pregnancies.”

He grabbed my face, and his fiery gaze melted me. “We’re gonna have pregnancies. Maybe not planned, but never unwanted.” He kissed me hard again, making my eyes roll back. He pulled away and released my face but ran his fingers down my cheek. “Probably sooner rather than later, because now that I’ve felt your pussy around me, I don’t ever want to go back.”

Still gripping his shoulders, I said, “Speaking of going back, what time are we leaving? I know you need some rest, but I’m ready to get back to the clubhouse. I can set an alarm on my cell. I need my charger, though.” One of the girls had gone to the truck to get my bag and the phone, but the charger was still outside. They were trying to get me to shower and change, but I think I was stiff and still in shock. Falcon being so close breathed life back into me, loosening my body, but soreness slowly began to set in. “I need a shower, too.”

“Daisy, I need you to stay here while I handle some business.”

I had rambled so much I almost didn’t realize what he was saying. “What?”

He threaded his hands into my hair and gripped it hard. “I have to go but I’ll be back soon. And you’ll be safe here.”

I tried to pull his hands from my hair. “You have to go now?” The question came out more accusatory than I meant, but I needed to be close to him. I was still reeling from what happened and he was my safe place.

He tightened his grip. “Calm down and listen.”

Did he just say calm down? I tried to push him away, but it was like trying to move a brick wall and he still had my hair in his hands. He grunted but instead of letting me go, he only gripped tighter.

“Have you ever successfully told a woman to calm down? Let me go, Falcon. Just go. I guess I know my place.” After I had shot a man, got dragged from the truck, bound and gagged, nearly raped, and banged around in an attempt to take me back to that animal, he was leaving me for club business.

He pulled my face to his and slammed his lips to mine, forcing his tongue inside. My body was trying to betray me again, but I shook my head and closed my mouth, forcing him out. He was so close my eyes were crossing and I trembled with rage.

“I wouldn’t leave if I didn’t have to, Daisy. I never want to leave your side. But I have to finish this. For you .”

“I thought that’s what you were doing while I waited here. So what now?”

He loosened his grip, but I was so defeated that I didn’t rush to move. Instead, I just slinked my legs away from him and found my jeans at the end of the bed. He righted his own jeans and stood up.

I grabbed my bag and shuffled things around, pulling fresh clothes out, and started to walk to the bathroom.

“Daisy, please don’t shut down.”

I turned and shrugged. “I’m not. I’m just playing the role, Falcon. Am I not doing this right?”

His brows pinched. “Doing what? What do you think I’m doing, Daisy? What do you think you are?”

“A bunny. I’m here to look pretty, wet your cock, and shut the fuck up. So, I’m gonna clean myself up and go to sleep for a while.” I didn’t entirely believe that, but I was hurt and upset. I needed him now more than ever. He had told me before that club business had to come first. Now I understood. And I was getting too tired to fight.

I turned to go into the bathroom, but his quick and heavy footsteps were right behind me. He jerked my arm and whipped me around, leaning down to my height. “You’re not a fucking bunny. You’re mine ,” he said as he grabbed my shoulders. “You know it, and they all fucking know it. I told you before there’s things you can’t know and it’s better for you that way. I thought you trusted me.”

My jaw clenched. “I did. I do. But I thought I was first. I was wrong.”

He let go of my shoulders and took a step back, running his hand down his face. “Woman, I normally appreciate your crazy shit, but it’s been a fucked up day and I have another ahead me. I don’t want to leave here fighting with you.”

“Well, I guess you can’t always get what you want, can you?”

I slammed the door to the bathroom and went to turn the shower on, but Falcon just followed me inside. He stopped me from turning the water on and demanded, “Look at me, dammit.”

Crossing my arms, I stood and waited for what he was going to try to say now to get to me to calm down . Before he could, I said, “Look, I know what you did for me. But I need you now and you have to leave. I know you can’t understand because I doubt you’ve even been dragged away by strangers, but I can’t even think of a word to describe how fucking bad it was. Wondering if I’d be raped, beaten, killed…I was scared out of my mind and all I could think about was you the whole time. But instead of getting to go home, or at the very least be with you, you have fucking shit to do that’s more important than me. So just let me get over it,” I said as I dropped my arms to my sides. “Go do your club business, Falcon. ”

He closed the space between us. “Daisy, you’re my business. You’re the most important thing to me. This is for you . I need you to believe me.” He dropped his gaze to the floor then back up to me. “I didn’t want to tell you like this, but I need you to know. I love you, Daisy. I don’t want to leave you here, but I won’t rest until the ones who hurt you have paid. They made this club business when they fucked with you. Do you understand now?”

I couldn’t blink. I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t move. My thoughts, however, were moving at warp speed. Did he just say he loved me? This giant, strong silent type, motorcycle man just said those words, right?

“Daisy, breathe.”

My breath released with a heavy sigh. “Did you say you love me?”

His hand raised slowly, coming toward my face. I didn’t move away, but instead leaned into it. His hazel eyes softened and he said, “I love you, Daisy. I didn’t know I was even capable of it, but now that I have it, I’m not letting it go. I won’t let you go. You’re my world, Daisy, and I will show you every day. And that’s why I have to go do this now,” he said through gritted teeth. “I can’t rest until everyone who hurt you meets their destiny.”

Blood rushed to my face and tears flooded my eyes. I flung myself into his arms and he wrapped them around me then dug his face into my hair. “I love you, Derek.”

Curse this man for always making me forget that I’m mad.

But he loves me.

“I’m still mad,” I whispered .

“I would expect nothing less, darlin’. Now let’s clean you up.”

“Derek?” I whispered. He grunted so I said, “I think I understand now. And I’m sorry.”

He kissed my temple and held me tighter. “Don’t be sorry. Just tell me you know I love you.”

Leaning back so I could look into his eyes, I swallowed hard as tears, now tears of joy, bubbled up again. “I know you love me, just like I know I love you.”
