Chapter Seventeen. #2
Falcon dropped to his knees even as I flinched away from him and everyone else.
I reached out and grasped Natalie’s hand, and I pushed myself up.
We huddled together as sneers turned to concern and then fear.
Those watching realised that something was wrong.
Especially when Rage began blocking the exits.
Murderous vibes were emanating from Calamity and guests were starting to pick them up.
Someone had insulted a woman belonging to his club.
“Babe, it’s me,” Falcon whispered, shuffling forward. I cringed against Natalie, not willing to trust him.
Falcon saw that, and pain flitted through his eyes. “Sweetheart, it’s okay. I won’t let anyone hurt you,” he murmured.
“What are you doing?” Courtney demanded. “Just throw her out.”
Falcon ground his teeth, and I realised he was barely hanging on. I shunted over, needing to calm him, and he scooped me up as Fragment picked up Natalie.
“Mom!” Falcon called, and Artemis pushed through. Her eyes narrowed, taking everything in at once.
“Mom, take Myka to her room. Fragment, take Natalie there, too. I’ve gotta handle some business,” Falcon ground out.
“Her room? Shit,” the guy who’d been assaulting Natalie gasped.
Calamity gave him a dark look. “You’ve got one chance of walking out of here on two legs. Whoever participated or laughed, own it now.”
Those involved looked worried but didn’t step up.
“I’m calling the cops,” Brittney snapped, fear in her voice.
“Go ahead, there’s a jammer in place,” Calamity taunted.
A jammer? Who were these people?
“It was them,” Natalie said, pointing out around twelve guests. “But those two bitches started it.” Natalie quickly explained what happened and pointed out those who’d laughed or joined in.
Courtney and Brittney blanched. “We’re women, you can’t hit us,” Courtney exclaimed.
“Nope. But I don’t need to,” Falcon ground out as he placed me into my wheelchair. He took my hand and examined it. “Nova.”
His twin appeared, and Falcon showed her my wound, which was killing me. He and Nova exchanged a glance.
“We’re going to leave,” Brittney said and backed away. She hit Hunter in the chest, who shoved her back into the centre. I realised that those Natalie had pointed out now had a brother behind them.
“Don’t kill anyone,” I whispered to Falcon, and his eyes softened.
“Mom, apply ice to her hand,” he suggested. Artemis nodded, and before anybody could blink, she punched Courtney and Brittney in the face. Both women screamed and rocked back.
“That’s for my daughter-in-law,” Artemis seethed. “Be grateful it’s Nova and not me you’re facing. I’d fuckin’ carve you up.”
With that threat, Artemis walked away, pushing me. Fragment followed, still carrying Natalie. I drew a deep breath and allowed a few tears to trickle down my cheeks. Would I always be tainted as a Beauregard?
Falcon
Nova growled while my brothers restrained the men plus two other women. “You made a fuckin’ big mistake,” she snarled and began dishing out a beating on the bitches who hurt my woman.
Demi stalked forward and took care of the two women who laughed.
They weren’t laughing by the time Demi dished out punishment.
Nova stepped back, not even having broken a sweat.
Courtney and Brittney were bruised and bloodied lumps by the time she’d finished.
Nova spat on them and then wiped her hands.
“Okay?” she asked Rosie, who nodded.
“Take the trash out,” Rosie ordered. “I want information on where they work, live, and play. I’m going to destroy them. All four of them.”
“We didn’t do anything!” one of the women who’d laughed cried.
“Exactly. You watched someone get bullied and found it funny. Now we’re gonna laugh at you. By the time we’re done, you won’t even be able to get a job wiping asses,” Rosie promised.
“Throw the cunts out,” Calamity said, turning to the men being held. A slow grin crossed his face, and I cocked my head.
“Drake, Inglorious, looks like we’ve got a fight night!”
The assholes protested as Calamity motioned towards the other two presidents.
“I’m going to have to up the ante when you come to Merritt.” Inglorious grinned.
“Who wants to volunteer to teach these assholes some manners?” Drake asked.
“I’m first,” I said, and Drake nodded.
“Naturally. Who else?”
I smirked, as there was no lack of hands shooting upwards. Myka didn’t know it, but she had an entire club at her back. I could give her the one thing she craved—a family.
Calamity
I was watching the fight as Fragment pounded the asshole who’d assaulted Natalie, and I nodded in approval.
Fragment was good; the guy was hurting. I snickered as Fragment had yet to say a word and his expression hadn’t changed once.
The fool had landed a couple of weak-ass blows, but they didn’t affect Fragment in the slightest.
Ace was wrapping Falcon’s knuckles after he’d beaten one to a pulp. Falcon was still riled, but he’d have to hit a bag. Others wanted a piece of these assholes. Fragment let rip with a hammer blow that lifted his opponent off his feet. Damn, nice shot.
My phone rang, and I glanced down and saw it was the gate. Luca and Felix were down there. A flash of concern raced through me as I answered.
“What is it?”
“We’ve got bikes, and I don’t think they’re allies,” Luca said.
“Let them in,” I cut the call and stood up. I tilted my head for Falcon to follow and turned to Drake and Inglorious.
“Notorious Princes.”
Falcon whistled sharply, and my club responded.
“Fragment, you’re done,” I ordered. Fragment held the guy by his shirt, shook him, and then let him drop.
“Done,” Fragment agreed.
I led the way out of the clubhouse towards the gate. I could hear bikes outside as we filtered out.
About thirty riders were in front of me, and I knew they’d expected to find us alone.
This was a show of power. Thief sat in the middle with a huge smirk until he saw everyone filing out.
The triumphant expression he wore faded.
Drake stepped up behind me, letting me take the lead. I crossed my arms and held my silence.
“Well, this is a predicament.” Thief grinned.
“Not for me. But you’re wearing colours in my territory without permission? Yeah, you’ve got a huge, fuckin, problem,” I replied.
“We want what your kid stole from us,” Thief stated.
“Show fuckin’ respect,” I thundered, and Thief glanced at Drake and then back at me. “That’s not a kid. That’s my Veep, and he successfully kicked three of your brothers’ asses. Don’t enter my territory and insult me,” I snarled.
“He took something that doesn’t belong to him,” Thief argued.
“I come to your clubhouse, wearing colours without your permission; what would you do?” I demanded as my club, the National Chapter and Unwanted Bastards, surrounded them in a circle.
Thief glanced about.
“Yeah, you thought I didn’t have the numbers. Came here thinking you had the upper hand, and now it’s backfired. What’s your next step?” I smirked.
“Drake, get your whelp under control,” Thief snapped.
“Ain’t my kid, and this is his turf and club. Calamity’s not wrong; you deal with him,” Drake ordered.
“Take their colours,” I said to my brothers.
They moved forward, and Thief held up a hand.
“Don’t do this.”
“You’d do it to me and offer a beatdown.
Why should I treat you any differently? Thief, you came here intending to beat us and take our territory.
Don’t mistake me for a fuckin’ idiot. You were arrogant and a fool and didn’t check to see if we were alone.
I’m treating this as an act of war,” I said.
“You gonna allow this gimp talk for you, Michaelson?” Thief demanded.
“This is his land and his club,” Drake replied mildly. “But I take offence to gimp.”
“Remove their colours, and Thief, let this be my declaration,” I said, stepping forward, and slashed Thief’s patches from his cut.
“You can also consider this a declaration from the National Chapter of Rage MC,” Drake announced, backing me up.
“And the same from the Unwanted Bastards too,” Inglorious added. “Brothers, help an ally throw the vermin out.”
I smiled as the sound of punches was exchanged. Outnumbered and outmatched, the Notorious Princes gave up their colours. I stood over Thief, who spat blood in my direction.
“Gonna cost you five k per patch to get these back. You got three months, then we’ll burn them, and I’m being generous,” I said, and deliberately turning my back, I walked away.
