Chapter 21- Broken

It's a new week.

New sagas and drama.

And the topic everyone is resuming with is Aurora and Leonard. How he carried her on his shoulders like he owned her.

#bad girl got humbled

#horny weekend

People already assumed they hooked up afterwards and the college is buzzing with anticipation for Leonard or Aurora's arrival.

Kimberly drove into the parking lot, not happy with the disinterest and disappointment of everyone, seeing her.

She also knows what happened—obviously. She would love to teach that Aurora a lesson but after those slaps she received from her, she's fine. She'll find another way to make her pay.

As usual, she came with a new ride. A flashy pink sports car.

Asha drove in next, almost colliding with her bumper.

"Are you blind?!" Kimberly snapped.

"Not now blonde." Asha rolled her eyes, going inside, like Kimberly wasn't worth a second glance.

Tiffany and Amelia came together in one car, and they sent her piercing glares before going inside.

She stood still, not wanting to go inside. Watching everyone, everything. She feels so empty, a feeling she's never had and it's strange.

Alone.

Then a Supra came in next.

A Toyota Supra MK4 drove in smoothly.

Aurora stepped out. As usual with a lolipop in her mouth, but no black shades this time. Just her usual armor of black baggy clothes.

"Now she wants to take my position too. Hmph." Kimberly muttered. "No one is taking my 'queen of cars' title."

Aurora hung her bag on one shoulder, loosely, taking other things from her car before shutting the door.

As if planned, Oma and Ivy drove in at once, their cars screeching loudly.

They came out of their cars hurriedly, rushing to each other.

"Shit! There's no way that's a tie. I drove in first." Oma said.

"I parked first." Ivy argued.

"Oh, you lying bitch." Oma narrowed her eyes dramatically, making Ivy laugh.

"Dark queen!"

"My love"

They rushed to Aurora.

"We did a car race." Ivy chimed.

"I figured." Aurora replied flatly.

"Who drove in first? Be honest." Oma said and Ivy nudged her.

"You're her bestie but I know she's not answering that." Ivy rolled her eyes and sighed.

"Your hair's black again." Oma said, and Aurora just hummed.

"Anyways. Did Oma tell you?" Ivy grinned.

"What?"

"Mason took her on a date last night." She replied, and Aurora put her lolipop back in her mouth.

"Hmm." Was all she said, the girls rolled their eyes.

Oma suddenly rememberd. "Leo carried you?"

Ivy smirked. "And smacked your ass?"

Aurora's expression changed. She exhaled sharply and walked away.

"Did they--"

"Nope, Auri isn't like that." Oma cut Ivy off.

That's when Kimberly showed up, walking past them and going towards Aurora who's still on her way inside.

She bumped into Aurora on purpose, walking past her.

Aurora stayed cool. "Last warning, barbie." She said calmly not pausing her stride. Her voice was low but firm enough for Kimberly to hear.

Kimberly turned sharply to Aurora who already walked past her.

She balled her fists, her nails digging into her flesh, and stormed into the building angrily.

"She is seriously tired of living. I won't be able to control Auri if she loses her temper." Oma muttered.

"I already saw how her temper can be after what she did to Nicole." Ivy commented and Oma scoffed.

"You think that was her anger? Twisting Nicole's hand and pushing her to the floor?

?? No, sweetie, her anger is far worse. One time, she beat up a guy for whistling at her at her former college, cuz she was in a bad mood.

And another time, she broke a girls nose, and her teachers, she's done far worse to them. "

Ivy blinked. "Whoa. But why is she like this though? Why doesn't she like... You know, guys?" She asked and Oma's expression changed slowly.

"Don't worry, let's just go inside."

Aurora is in her first class and she's busy replying the numerous messages from her mom. For some reason, her mom is extra cautious today.

Kiara came in and sat next to her. "Hey, we're the only ones offering this class, so it's just you and I. Oma, Ivy and Rosanne are together."

"Sure." She replied simply, her eyes still on her phone as she typed sharply, giving her mom a long lecture.

Leonard came in, earning gasps and squealing.

Aurora is still on her phone but immediately he got closer to her, his spicy scent invaded her senses and she looked but he already walked past her, going to the back seat.

Slowly, the class got loaded with students then the teacher entered.

Kimberly is seating right behind Aurora and Kiara, glaring at them like they stole from her.

Throughout the class, she kept muttering things behind them, trying to start a fight.

As usual Aurora kept pretending nothing was happening. But she kept imagining Kimberly in a pink coffin and how nice she would look in it.

Maybe it's a sign her time is coming soon, she'll use her to pass a message to the other slutty sluts.

The class is over and students are leaving the classroom hurriedly.

"Aurora, you coming? We still have like an hour before Mr Roland's class." Kiara said, packing her things.

"You can leave."

"Ok... See ya." Kiara waved then left the class.

Kimberly already left immediately the class ended.

After almost 20 minutes, she decided to leave.

When she got to the door, she couldn't help but glance at the class to see if... He was still there, but he wasn't.

She didn't even bother to question why she did that, she's been acting strange ever since she came to this red planet.

As she made her way to the elevator, her head suddenly started hurting.

Slamming!

But the damn thing isn't close.

She went for the stairs, crowded with people, and she winced at the sharp pain from her head.

As she made her way down, the laughs, the moaning, they filled the air.

Girl were pressed into corners, and fingers are where they shouldn't be.

Her stomach churned at the sick scenario, she couldn't take it, so she decided to go back but her wrist was pulled forcefully by a guy.

She yanked it free. "Don't touch me."

He laughed. "If it ain't the one and only baddie!" His voice drawed attention.

"Yeah! That's Aura!" A girl hollered.

"Come on, join the fun." The guy went closer, other guys surrounded her.

Trapped!

Her slamming head isn't even letting her think.

"Don't make a mistake by playing naughty. Get out of my way." She said firmly.

"Oh, come on. Didn't you hook up with Leo? Why are you suddenly being virtuous?" The guys laughed.

Without a second thought, Aurora punched his nose hard and blood trickled out.

The others grabbed her forcefully. But she kicked one in the guts, already loosing herself to fury.

She punched the rest too, targeting their noses. She got the pen in her pocket and buried it in the first guy's stomach.

"B?tch!" He groaned.

The others in the stairway just watched, recording and hyping up Aurora.

She took a bottle from the floor and instantly smashed it on another guy's head, he bled.

She kept thrashing, spilling blood, the rest watched, but some started getting worried.

Until someone pulled Aurora again, this time more forcefully and stronger than before.

He spun her around; her blazing eyes met his cold ones.

She got more pissed. "Leave me alone," her voice came firmly, each word filled with spite.

Leonard pulled her away from the scene, his grip firm on her arm.

He pulled her through the hallways, not minding everyone's stares and gossip.

??? Of course, it's her again!

??? I'm tired of her nonsense!

??? Yeah.

They arrived at the rooftop, and he literally pushed her in, throwing her bag on the floor. The wind was so strong that it tossed their hair around.

Aurora's hands curled into fists, and she hit his chest over and over, venting the anger she had been keeping inside.

Leonard stayed still, studying her until he finally grabbed her wrists, making her look at him.

"I don't care how late you are or how much of a hurry you're in, but no matter what, do not go to the stairs. Never."

"Why?! Huh?!" She snapped, struggling with his grip.

"Guys can do whatever they want, go wherever they want, but us? Girls? There are so many restrictions on us! 'Don't do this! Don't wear that! Don't go there!' All because y'all can't control the devils inside you. Let go of my hand!"

Leonard did so, he let her go and she continued hitting his chest.

"Don't ever think I'll follow any rules from anyone! I'll do whatever I want, I'll go wherever I want. And the stairs, I'll go back and killed those bastards. I'll end them!"

"There's too much craziness there." He said, calmly but the ice in his tone was dead obvious.

"Did I look like I wasn't handling the craziness there?! Did I ask for your help?! I could've killed them if you didn't interfere! They're lucky I wasn't with a knife." She replied crazily.

"Damn you, Aurora! You should've taken your dagger." She groaned, as she continued hitting Leonard's chest.

"Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!" The hits increased.

"Stop." Leonard said calmly.

"Stop," he repeated, but she kept hitting faster.

He quickly grabbed her hands, holding them tightly to make sure it hurt.

"What makes you think you can hit me?" he snapped, but she wasn't looking at him. Her eyes were fixed on his hands holding hers.

She looked up at him, and her eyes showed something new.

Fear!

He remembered seeing it briefly last week when he made her sit on his lap in the cafeteria.

But now, she was completely afraid. She was terrified.

Her hands began to shake, "Let go of my hand."

"I said let go!" Her shaking grew worse.

He released her hand. She nearly fell, losing her balance, but he caught her waist, steadying her.

She pushed him away and stepped backward.

The pain in her head intensified, causing her to groan, almost screaming.

She dropped to the floor and crouched.

Her fingers tugged at her hair.

Leonard stepped forward.

"Get up," he said firmly.

"Get up, Aurora."

The only answer was a painful groan.

He reached for her arm, pulling her up roughly.

She flinched and tried to pull away, but he held on.

"Let go of my hand!" she demanded, her red eyes locked on his cold ones. His eyes held no emotion.

Suddenly, she laughed, a broken sound that seemed to shatter something inside her.

"You couldn't have me at your parents' place, so this is the perfect spot, right? Just the two of us! Right, Leonard?" She laughed again.

Leonard grabbed her other arm, pulling her closer.

"Whatever broke in your head needs to know its limits. Be careful with me, Aurora."

He let go of her roughly, without a second thought, and she stumbled, almost tripping.

For a moment, he just stared at her, intently studying her. He observed her uneasiness and fear.

In the silence, memories of the past rushed back: screams, sirens, and blood.

She started to back away, her feet moving on their own, until she reached the edge.

She began to fall, but before gravity took over, Leonard yanked her forward suddenly and hard.

Her body slammed into his, her hair blowing into her face.

Already frustrated, Leonard spun her around and shoved her against the only wall on the rooftop.

That's when she broke.

Her voice was shaky and low. "You're going to hurt me too?"

She let out a sharp breath. "You want to finish what...he couldn't. What...he started."

Leonard froze.

Realization dawned on him.

He understood—the fear he'd seen in her eyes at the cafeteria, the clues...

How had he missed it?

He loosened his grip, let her go, and stepped back.

He turned away, letting out a sharp breath.

Meanwhile, Aurora was numb, staring blankly ahead. Pictures of that awful night flashed through her mind.

"He wanted me... He was obsessed, he was dangerous... Insane..." She muttered but he could hear her.

The wind grew stronger, pouring her hair on her face again.

Leonard turned and took slow steps to her.

"I can be anything... But never that. I dare you to forget it."

"Yet you keep harassing me!" She snapped. "What don't you guys understand when a girl says she doesn't like being touched?! You forcefully danced with me, made me sit on you, tried to kiss me... What do you want?"

He went even closer, closing the gap between them.

"Leona..."

"Each and every part of you." He replied bluntly, and she balled her fists with closed eyes and sharp breath.

She opened her eyes, looking straight at him. "I don't like being touched." She firmly said. "Step away."

He stayed still.

"This is exactly what I'm talking about! You're a jerk that doesn't take no for an answer! Move away!" She hit his chest, he caught her hands again.

"His name. Now." He ordered.

"No—"

"Give. Me. His. Fucking. Name. Now."

Aurora stilled. Goosebumps crawling on her skin. Her fingers started shaking.

"I won't say it again." Leonard said.

She opened her mouth but no words came out.

Her lashes lifted, and her eyes met directly with his.

Her voice came out broken.

"Zane. Zane Saunders." She whispered.

The moment she spoke the name, her eyes rolled, her stomach lurched, and her head pounded.

Leonard froze. He stood silently. He didn't move or speak. His eyes were locked on her for close to a minute.

That name—it filled the air like a curse that had been waiting to be spoken.

She began to fall, but Leonard caught her, and they landed on the floor.

Sweat beaded on her forehead, and her trembling fingers grew worse. Her body stiffened, and her breathing became shallow.

Everything blurs, every noise sounds funny, and she can barely tell if she's breathing too fast or not at all.

Something trickled down her nose.

Blood.

TBC...
