Remy
I wake to Hannah’s loud, shocked voice slicing through the haze. “What the hell?”
My eyes snap open. Cole jolts upright at the same time, our foreheads crack together hard enough to make me see stars. We both groan, hands flying to our heads.
“Ow, fuck.”
“Shit…”
Our limbs are a tangled mess under the blanket, his leg hooked over mine, my arm slung across his chest. I clear my throat, cheeks burning, and start untangling us as fast as I can without making it worse.
Cole yanks the blanket off me completely, wraps it around himself like a cocoon, and flops back down properly on the couch, rubbing his face with both hands. “Jesus…”
I sit up straighter, heart hammering, waiting for the anger. For her to snap at us for being wrapped up like this. For questions. For anything.
Instead, she laughs, bright and genuine. “Guys, look at the mess you made!”
I blink. “What?”
She’s already bending down, picking up crumpled chip bags, gummy wrappers, and empty soda cans. “Look at this… your bin is literally a few metres away from your lazy butts.”
Relief crashes through me so hard I almost laugh out loud. She’s not mad about us being tangled. I force a chuckle, mostly to cover how fast my pulse is racing. “Right, yeah… my bad.”
Cole groans from his blanket burrito, voice raspy and thick with sleep. “We would’ve done it eventually, Han.”
Goddamn. That gravelly morning rumble slides down my spine like a shiver. I have to look away so I don’t stare at his mouth, the way his hair’s all messed up, or the sleepy flush on his cheeks.
Hannah giggles. “You two are like an old married couple.”
I freeze, staring at her.
She waves a hand, still smiling. “Wrapped up together… you’re so cute.”
Then she walks over, swings a leg over my lap, and straddles me right here on the couch. “Morning, handsome.”
I clear my throat and force a smile. “Morning, Han.”
She playfully pouts. “What, no kiss?”
I lick my lips, scrambling for an excuse. “Bad morning breath, babe.”
“Okay, yeah, fair enough.” She shrugs, unbothered, and strokes my jaw once before climbing off.
Cole groans again, dramatic this time, and actually pulls a pillow over his ears like he can’t stand listening to us.
Guilt twists in my gut. For her, because she’s still so happy, so oblivious. For him, because he’s lying there watching me get straddled, while pretending everything’s fine.
I try to keep my voice casual. “So… you got anything to do today?”
Please have plans. Please need to leave. Please.
She sighs. “Yeah, I’m going to see a couple faculty members… discuss my return, catch up on what I missed, all that crap.”
I smile, too relieved. “It won’t be that bad.”
She smiles sweetly back, thumb brushing my jaw again. “Yeah, but I just want to stay here with you.”
Cole huffs under the pillow; she doesn’t seem to notice.
“You mind if I shower here?”
I shake my head fast. “No, of course not.”
She grins. “Care to join me?”
I laugh but it comes out strained. “You drained me dry last night, Han. Don’t think I can go again.”
She pouts dramatically. “Oh, you’re no fun.”
She waves playfully and heads down the hall. The bathroom door clicks shut and the shower turns on.
Cole sits up slowly, pillow falling away. He deadpans at me, eyebrows raised.
I smile shy and guilty. “What?”
He crawls over, slowly, clearly not thinking straight. He swings a leg over my lap, straddling me exactly where Hannah was a minute ago, and pitches his voice high and breathy, mimicking her perfectly:
“I wish I could spend all of my time with you, Remy… you’re so handsome…”
I bite my lip to stop the grin, but it breaks through anyway.
He strokes my jaw with exaggerated tenderness, flipping imaginary hair over his shoulder. “Are you sure I can’t seduce you again?”
I shake my head, laughing under my breath. “You’re a dick.”
Cole smirks, voice dropping back to that deep, raspy timbre that makes my stomach flip. “Hmm… but clearly you love my dick.”
He grinds down once, right over my already-hard bulge. I groan, hips jerking up on instinct.
Cole raises his brows. “Can’t go again, huh?”
The shower’s still running… Hannah’s in there, we have time.
I grab his hips and pull him down harder. “Shut up and get on the couch properly.”
We shift fast, him lying back, me crawling over him, no preamble, no hesitation. I kiss down his chest and stomach, until I’m hovering over his cock. He’s already leaking, boxers shoved down just enough.
I take him in my mouth at the same time he pulls me around…
sixty-nine on the couch, messy and desperate.
My cock slides past his lips; he moans around me, the vibration shooting straight up my spine.
I suck him deeper, tongue swirling, tasting precome and salt while he does the same to me… hungry, sloppy, and perfect.
The shower drones on in the background, water hitting tile, Hannah humming faintly. We don’t care.
I thrust shallowly into his mouth; he bucks up into mine. Hands gripping thighs, nails digging in. No words, just wet sounds, muffled groans, the couch creaking under us.
I feel him start to tense first, thighs shaking, cock swelling against my tongue. I hollow my cheeks, take him to the back of my throat. He comes with a choked whimper, spilling hot and thick; I swallow it all, groaning around him.
The second he finishes he doubles down, sucking hard, tongue flicking the underside, one hand cupping my balls. I tip over fast, hips jerking, coming down his throat with a low, broken moan I barely muffle against his hip.
We collapse, panting, tangled again. I rest my forehead on his thigh, catching my breath. He strokes lazy circles on my back.
I stand up on shaky legs, thighs still trembling. My cock is softening fast, sticky and spent. Cole groans low in his throat, pulling his boxers back up with one hand while the other scrubs over his face.
“Fuck…” he mutters, voice wrecked. “That was the quickest I’ve ever come… god help me.”
I laugh, breathless, grinning so wide it hurts, and head down the hall before I do something stupid like climb back on top of him.
I slip into my room first. It smells like Hannah now, the faint floral perfume she always wears, and it twists something uncomfortable in my chest. I ignore it, yank open my drawer and grab a pair of black jeans I don’t wear often.
Tight fit, strategic rips at the knees and thighs, the kind that hug my ass and make people look twice.
I step into them, tug them up, button them, then grab black socks and pull them on while I’m still half-naked. Quick spray of deodorant under my arms.
Then I sneak into Cole’s room. His favourite tee is hanging over the back of his desk chair, baggy even on him, faded navy with an old logo cracked across the chest. I pull it on without thinking twice.
It’s loose on me too, but it smells like him, clean sweat, his body wash, that faint cedar edge that always lingers on his skin.
I ruffle my hair in his mirror, letting it fall messy and tousled, then walk back out to the main area like I’m not casually dressed to ruin his day.
Cole’s leaning against the counter, chugging from a water bottle. He looks up mid-sip, and chokes. Water sprays out of his mouth, dripping down his chin. He coughs, wipes his mouth with the back of his hand, eyes wide as they rake over me from head to toe.
I raise my brows. “You good, man?”
“Yeah…” He wipes his mouth again, voice rough. “Yeah, I’m great… great.”
His gaze drags down my body, lingering on the way the jeans cling to my thighs, the way his own shirt drapes over my shoulders and chest. “Jesus Christ… have you always been this hot?”
Heat floods my face. I wasn’t expecting him to just… say it, out loud; so open and forward.
Cole grins, slow and wicked, biting his bottom lip as he steps closer. “You look good in my clothes.”
Before I can respond he reaches around with both hands and squeezes my ass, firm and possessive, thumbs digging into the denim right where it hugs me tightest. I lose my breath.
He smirks, gives one last squeeze, then steps back. “I’m off to get dressed.”
I’m literally speechless, mouth open and brain short-circuiting.
---
Five minutes later he walks back out and I nearly die.
His hair’s deliberately dishevelled, dark strands falling over his forehead in that effortless way he knows drives people insane.
A tight black tee stretches over his shoulders and chest, showing every ridge of muscle.
Our team’s letterman jacket is thrown over the top…
open, sleeves pushed up to his elbows. Shorts that hit mid-thigh, showing off the thick, hairy legs he’s built from years of squats and sprints.
The whole look is casual but devastating.
I groan and slump deeper into the couch cushions like I’ve been punched. Cole laughs, pleased, smug as hell, and walks over. He crouches down in front of me, forearms resting on my thighs, face level with mine.
“Who made you so flawless?” I mutter, half-joking, half-serious.
He grins wider. “You’re only just noticing how handsome your best friend is… after all these years?”
I laugh, cheeks burning. “Don’t let it go to your head; your ego might explode.”
Cole’s never bragged about his looks. Never fished for compliments or strutted for anyone. This cocky, flirty version, is new, and it’s just for me. I like it way too much.
I sigh, scoot to the edge of the couch, and lean forward until my forehead rests against his. His hands settle on my thighs, warm and steady.
Cole kisses the tip of my nose, soft and sweet. “What’s going on in that mind?”
I swallow, chest heavy with a sad ache. “I need to break up with her, don’t I?”
He sighs too, quiet and resigned. “Yeah… I think you should. I can’t lie, man, it’s gonna fucking suck. But she’s clearly not what you want.”
I nod against his forehead.
“But not right now,” he adds gently. “Give it a few days, okay? Maybe things will feel different now she’s back.”
I roll my eyes. I get his point, he’s trying to protect me, protect her… but I already know. Nothing’s going to change.
I grab the front of his letterman, fingers curling into the fabric. Unable to look him in the eye when I ask. “What about you?”
He grins. “What about me, pretty boy?”
I huff a laugh, blushing hard at the nickname.
Cole’s voice drops, open and vulnerable. “I think we should avoid having sex again.”
My stomach drops. I deflate instantly, afraid that’s exactly what he was going to say.
He grabs my face in both hands, gentle but firm, and makes me meet his gaze. “Hey… just a few days, okay? I think it’s best for everyone.”
I nod slowly. “Alright.”
He keeps holding my face, thumbs stroking my cheeks. “I don’t know what this is. I don’t know what you want from me. But… I think I know what I want. So, I’m here when you’ve made a decision, okay?”
My heart slams… I hope he wants me, permanently, that hope blooms hot in my chest.
I stroke his jaw. “Okay.”
Cole smiles, real. “So, you gotta bring back the Remy everyone knows. Stop being so clingy in public.”
I laugh. “Okay.”
“Kiss?”
I nod eagerly. He leans in… and devours me.
Not a peck, not sweet. Full-on mouth crash, tongue sweeping in, teeth grazing my lip, one hand sliding to the back of my neck to hold me exactly where he wants me.
It steals my breath. My hands fist in his jacket, pulling him closer, kissing him back like I’m drowning and he’s air.
The bathroom door opens. Cole breaks away instantly, smooth, casual, and sits back on the couch a full cushion away from me, pulling his phone out like nothing happened. The picture of innocence.
Hannah steps out in a towel, hair dripping, smiling. “Miss me?”
I force a laugh. “Always.”
Cole doesn’t look up from his phone. But his foot nudges mine once, reassuring.
