Chapter Fourteen #3

“I want you to come in me, Noah,” Ellyn whimpered. “I want you to fill me up with your seed and give me your baby.”

Her words were gasoline being poured onto the fire already roaring inside of me. As soon as they left her mouth, I buried myself as deep as I could inside of her, and I came harder than I ever have before.

I groaned into her neck as my seed spurted directly into her depths, and the feeling of me filling her up must have pushed Ellyn over the edge.

“Noahhhhhhh!” the blonde wailed as her legs locked around me.

I wrapped my arms around her and held her tightly as we both rode out our highs, and I rocked my hips back and forth to make sure my seed was deeply planted where it needed to be.

Even after the overpowering pleasure started to ease, I stayed buried inside of her. Ellyn panted against my neck, and I peppered soft kisses up and down hers as we came down from our orgasms together.

“That… was…” Ellyn couldn’t even finish her words without having to take in a sharp breath.

“Stay like this,” I whispered. “If we want to be sure… we should stay like this for a little longer.”

“Alright,” the elf whispered back as she ran her fingers up my back. “We can stay like this.”

I flipped Ellyn over so she was on top of me without breaking the connection between the two of us. With her weight pressed against my chest, I tightened my grip around her waist and nuzzled my face into her hair.

The room smelled of sex and sweat, but I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

The likelihood of us failing in our mission to have a baby had to be next to impossible now. But even if she didn’t get pregnant from this, we’d just try and try again.

And I certainly wasn’t complaining about that.

We stayed wrapped around each other for what felt like hours, but eventually I knew we would have to pull apart and clean ourselves up.

When that time came, I guided Ellyn into the en suite and helped her clean herself. Then I hopped into the shower to scrub off any of the remaining grime from the fight earlier today.

I gave my wife a quick debrief, but I didn’t want to spoil the moment we’d just shared.

Once I was all cleaned up, we headed back into bed, and I pulled the covers over both of us as she snuggled into my side. Ellyn fell asleep almost immediately, and I followed shortly after her breathing evened out.

But rather than an easy night sleep, I was back in the void.

Cold, dark nothingness had swallowed my unconscious mind and kept it rooted in place.

Silence engulfed me, which was much better than hearing Shaar and Drakar whispering my name, but it was eerie in a way.

It wasn’t like my eyes had closed, and I’d woken up with morning light pouring in through the window.

I was trapped in this dream void with no way to wake up.

I felt every boring, painstaking second.

I accepted my fate, and with no choice but to sit back and enjoy the ride, I tried to let my mind relax. I didn’t want to wake up and feel like I hadn’t slept a wink, so I sank my unconscious mind into the inky depths and let it wash over me like cold water.

I found peace in the darkness and was more than content to just wait it out until I finally woke up next to my wife.

But of course, that couldn’t last long.

Eventually, the darkness warbled like the inside of a Magic 8 Ball. The swirling depths curled back like the tendrils of the vine wall and revealed…

Gladewood?

I was still a phantom observing without a body, but I immediately recognized the layout of the town I’d grown to call home. The sprawling cobbled streets, the houses made of wood and stone, the Mist Woods hugging its borders like a purple canopy.

It was dark. The moon hung low in the sky like a round pearl and cast its pale light onto the sleeping town. There were only a few soft orbs of orange candlelight that were hardly visible from all the way up here.

Why I was floating above Gladewood in the dead of night was beyond me, and I wondered if my subconscious had gotten a little too comfortable and decided to go wandering down memory lane.

But then something happened that made me realize this wasn’t just an imagined bird’s-eye view of my town.

The ground pulsed, and the houses rattled like loose shoals caught in a beach wind. The center of town glowed bright purple, like a huge radioactive amethyst was protruding from the ground. Then a ring of purple light broke out from the center and spread across the land like a tidal wave.

The ring widened and covered more of the more of Gladewood and its surrounding land, but then--

I jerked awake and found myself already sitting up in bed. My chest was heaving up and down as I tried to suck in breath, and it felt like I’d just been under water for the past few hours.

I pressed a hand to my chest and felt my heart thudding rapidly like a wasps’ nest was inside. When I finally managed to regulate my breathing, I noticed a shadow being cast on the bed. Then small droplets of red dripped down onto the clean sheets.

I snapped my head up, only to see the shard floating right above me.

And it was covered in blood…
