Chapter 7

Chapter Seven

Adeline

I am busy for most of the day and don’t notice the heat slowly creeping back in. At first, I think the heating setting is too high as I grab the remote and fiddle with it, dropping the temperature.

Getting up, I fill my water bottle before realizing it is the third time I have filled it in two hours. Cyrus steps out of the elevator with some coffee before sniffing the air.

“You don’t feel too comfortable,” he says.

“I’m fine, just a little warm,” I tell him as he walks toward me.

He places his hand on the side of my neck. A guttural moan leaves my lips at his touch, sparks rushing south, and he chuckles.

“Yeah, real fine as long as no one touches you,” he says, and I slap his hand away, embarrassed at the noise I have just made.

“Come see me if you get too uncomfortable,” he laughs, handing me my coffee.

I set it aside, knowing it will just make me feel hotter. Instead, I drink from my water bottle and sit down. Since Cyrus' left, the throb between my legs has amplified, and I curse him out for touching me.

I reply to a few emails, trying to ignore the feeling when the pulsating gets worse, my thighs becoming slick with my arousal, and I look toward their closed office doors debating whether or not to go see Cyrus.

Turning the phone to voicemail, I get up and am about to knock on his door when it suddenly opens, his hand wrapping around my wrist as he jerks me inside.

“Didn’t think you would last long,” he growls, his lips going to mine as he presses me against the wall.

His hand tugs at my skirt, pulling it up higher.

His lips move to my neck, and I moan at the feel of his lips nipping and sucking on my skin.

My hands grip his shirt, tugging him closer when I feel his fingers press to the damp material of my panties, applying pressure, yet it isn’t enough to kill my burning desire.

Reaching between us, I tug on his belt when he drops to his knees and tosses my leg over his shoulder.

“Cyrus…” I gasp when I feel his tongue run over the damp fabric before pulling them aside.

His tongue is moving between my wet folds, my hips arching toward his face and moving against his lips as he sucks my throbbing clit into his mouth.

A breathy moan escapes my lips when the door opens.

I jump only to see it is Eli, his lips crashing down on mine, his hand going to the back of my neck as he swallows my moans.

“Well, this is a lawsuit waiting to happen,” he mumbles against my lips.

“She came to me,” I hear Cyrus growl, the vibration making my head go back against the wall as my walls flutter.

Eli’s fingers undo my blouse before dipping his face and sucking my breast that isn’t covered by my bra.

I grip his hair, his teeth grazing my skin when Cyrus’s tongue plunges inside me, his grip on my thigh tightening as my legs give way.

Eli presses closer, holding me against the wall as my orgasm rips through me, washing over me in waves.

My hips move against his face as I cry out before Eli kisses me, muffling the sounds escaping my lips.

Cyrus releases me, his hands pushing my skirt higher as he stands, undoing his belt and releasing his massive length.

Eli’s lips move off mine as Cyrus grabs me before pushing me toward his desk, his hand swiping everything on his desk off onto the floor with a loud crash before bending me over it.

His length presses against my thigh below my ass when he taps my feet, wanting me to open them.

I do, and I feel his tip press against my swollen lips before sheathing himself inside of me.

“Fuck!” he breathes as he pulls out before slamming back in, his hand going to my shoulder, and he pushes me flat against his desk.

I feel Eli’s hands fist a handful of my hair, pulling my head back, and I can see the bulge in his pants as he stands on the other side of the desk in front of me. His lips devour mine when I hear the familiar ding of the elevator, signaling someone has stepped onto the floor.

“Damn, he is early,” Eli growls, letting me go.

I try to stand up when Cyrus pulls me upright and against him. Eli adjusts himself before slipping out of the room.

“Shh…” Cyrus whispers, moving slower as he thrusts into me, his hand going inside my blouse while his lips move to my neck.

I moan at the feel of his cock deep within my walls, and I feel him chuckle, sucking my mark and enticing a louder one out of me before his hand covers my mouth, trying to muffle the sound.

His hand leaves my blouse as he presses a hand against my stomach, pulling my hips back against him, making my back arch before driving himself into me.

My walls are clenching his cock as I feel the familiar tightening of my stomach, my skin heating.

I move my hips, meeting his thrusts, my head rolling forward as I try not to cry out and alert whoever stands in the corridor to what we are doing in the office.

Cyrus’s relentless pounding becomes jerky, and I feel my orgasm tear through me again.

Cyrus’s hand clamps down on my lips as I cry out, my walls fluttering and eyes closing, as the feeling washes over me.

I feel my heat start to die down as Cyrus tenses behind me, his hot seed spilling into me and coating my insides as he stills.

Cyrus pulls out of me, and I feel his fingers adjust my panties back into place, his lips going to my cheek as he kisses it.

“Better?” he asks, and I nod, unable to speak.

His arm lets me go, and he pulls my skirt back down while I try to catch my breath, turning around and sitting on the edge of his desk while he does his pants up.

Cyrus cocks his head to the side, listening before looking at the door.

“Wait here. I will be back in a second,” he says, doing up his belt before stepping closer and pecking my lips.

I can just make out arguing in the room next door and feel Eli’s burning anger through the bond, making me nervous. Cyrus slips out the door just as I hear something smash in Eli’s office.

“How the fuck does that even happen?” I hear Eli yell at whoever he is speaking to.

I knew Cyrus tells me to wait, yet I am curious to know what got him so angry. Flattening my hair and fixing my clothes, I step out of the office before walking next door and pushing Eli’s open.

“Calm down. We can work this out,” I hear a voice that I recognize yet can’t place.

“Calm down? You said you would handle it,” Eli yells, and I step into the office. All three of them look up at me. The man turns to face me.

“Adeline, I take it. I am Pete,” he says, holding his hand out to me.

I stare at it before shaking it and giving him a nod. So, he is from the hunters’ organization.

“Addie, go back to Cyrus’s office. We will be finishing soon,” Eli says, and I see Cyrus pick up a broken chair from the corner and lean it against the wall.

“What’s going on?” I ask warily.

“Nothing, Addie. Just go wait next door,” Eli says.

I look at Pete, yet he doesn’t seem scared of being trapped in the office with a Lycan and vampire despite the room being thrashed around him.

“How is your mother doing?” he asks, and Eli growls at him.

“She is fine, thanks. Is everything alright?” I ask, looking at Cyrus, hoping he would tell me what is going on.

“Everything will be. We have people looking out for him,” Pete says, making my eyes snap to him.

My heart is thumping erratically. “Looking for who?”

Eli’s fist comes down on the table, making Pete and I both jump.

“Addie, please go wait next door,” Eli says, and I see Cyrus walk toward me.

“Are you talking about Sam?” I ask, stepping away from Cyrus as he approaches me.

“Addie, please,” Cyrus says, but I shake my head, looking at Pete.

“Yes, Adeline. Sam escaped and killed three of my men as we were transporting him to the supernatural council.”

“That’s enough,” Cyrus warns him, but I shake my head.

“But Sam is human. Why would he need transporting?” I ask.

I know enough that each council handles their own kind, so it makes no sense that Sam would be going to trial with the supernatural council. Pete looks at Eli, and my eyes follow.

“Think you should go, Pete. I will call you later,” Eli says, not taking his eyes off me.

“Talk soon,” Pete says, patting my shoulder before quickly ducking out the door.

I go to stop him, but Cyrus steps in my way.

“What aren’t you telling me?” I ask, stepping back from him.

“Come, we will go home,” Eli says, grabbing my arms, but I shake him off, stepping away from them. They are hiding something, and I am not leaving this room till they tell me what it is.

“No, not until you tell me.”

“It’s fine. They will find him. Until then, you don’t leave our side. I promise he won’t get near you if you’re with us,” Cyrus says, reaching for me, but I slap his hand away.

“If you are going to keep shit from me, I will go home. So, answer me.”

Eli sighs, rubbing his face with his hand. “Cyrus killed Sam.”

“That makes no sense, Eli, so spit it out. A dead man can’t escape.”

“He can if he has vampire blood in his system,” Cyrus says, and my eyes snap to his.

“What?” I ask, taking a step back, my hands trembling at his words.

“If I had known, I never would have killed him. I would have waited.”

“Are you saying he is like you, that he is a vampire?” I ask, fear threatening to choke me.

My vision is blurring, and I clutch the desk as fear grips me, sinking its filthy claws into me and restricting my airways. I try to breathe, my breaths raspy. This can’t be happening.

Eli touches my arm, gripping it as I feel the room spin violently, tilting on its axis.

“Is he no longer human?” I gasp out, needing to know if the monster who tormented me had turned into a literal one.

“Yes, Addie, Sam is a vampire now,” Eli says.

I shake my head, trying to make sense of what this means. “I just need… I need air,” I choke out, my breaths coming faster and faster as I start to hyperventilate.
