Chapter 35

Gabrie l

“Finally, we were debating that you killed one another in there and none of us were brave enough to check.” Charles brushes past me, carelessly taking the coffee mug I filled up for Elena and takes a huge sip from.

“That wasn’t for you.” I tell him, a scowl in my face as he is trying to ruin a perfect breakfast in bed for my wife upstairs.

“I know and thank you for the coffee.” I bite the inside of my cheek as I glare at Charles with a sour face.

“Wipe the sour face off,” he murmurs with a full mouth of grapes. “I am not sure Elena is fond of it.”

“Wipe yourself from the face of the earth before I do it.” I scowl at him and he raises his arms up in defence, taking a step back as well.

“Touché brother. I still want to arrive alive to my bride.”

“You don’t have a bride.”

“Why are you so against me today?”

“I am not your friend or someone else to sugar coat everything for you.”

“They do not sugarcoat anything for me.” His voice pitches high.

I hum unimpressed. I graze my shoulder against his as I walk past to get to the fridge for some eggs. I did not have time to talk with my brother about his delusion, especially not when I have my beautiful wife waiting upstairs.

Silence follows in the kitchen, only the clicking of silverware camouflages the air as I place the breakfast on the tray with a Lily flower I forced Charles to fetch for me over text before I made my way downstairs. What can I say, they are her favourite and I’ll be damned if I did not get my girl everything she loves.

“It was good.” I hear her talk as I stand at the door which is opening a crack. I stand there with a tray of beverages and food as I listen to what seems to be her phone call.

“I mean it when I say I will fly over to Italy if he thinks of hurting you.'' I recognize Renee’s voice on the phone and shake my head at her insane thoughts. I would shoot myself to death before I even can't even think of hurting Elena.

“I know you will,” Elena says in a low but what seems happy tone. “But you do not have to. He…” she drags the words and the sheets in the bed rustle as she moves on the bed. “He’s good.”

“In what way?”

“In every way possible.” She exaggerates in a playful tone and I smile at her words. “I need to say bye now. He should be here any minute.”

“Wait no, I need details. How many?”

“I don’t know, huge.”

“Holy shi-.” Renee’s gasp gets cut short as Elena hangs up before she can say another thing. The smile on my face reaches my eyes and I try not to make a noise.

The sound of rustling sheets gets my attention back. “I know you are there, Gabriel.”

I click with my tongue and admit defeat as I push the door open and I feel starstruck as I see her. I saw her not even twenty minutes ago but she gets more beautiful every second and every second I don’t see her is torture.

“Busted?”

“You are so busted, Harvey.” She says in a playful tone, throws the blanket away from her naked body and stands up on her feet, my shirt that she is wearing barely reaching her mid-thigh. She keeps her eyes on me as she walks to me and I shift as I start to grow nervous.

No woman has ever had this immense of an impact on me and she is doing it flawlessly.

“A lily,” her face lights up as she sees the flower on the tray. She picks up the pink flower and takes a small whiff as she admires it.

She twirls the flower between her fingers and looks up at me with a soft expression. “Thank you.”

“You never have to thank me.”

“You keep saying that but just know that I will not stop.”

I press my lips to a thin line and hum as I shake my head up and down to mock her.

She just rolls her pretty brown eyes.

Fuck does that turn me the fuck on.

At this point even her existence is a turn on and I am not complaining.

“Sit down and eat.” I tell her as I walk past her to the unmade bed and place the tray.

“On the bed?” She points out.

“Do you have another definition of breakfast in bed?”

“No,” her voice goes quiet. “It is just a bit unhygienic; don’t you think?”

“I changed the sheets last night while you were in the tub so these are fresh.” I tell her as I run a hand over the clean white sheets. “If that is what you were referring to.”

She runs her tongue over her bottom lip, wetting it before she speaks and fucking hell she should not be doing that before the leash on my restrain breaks and I pull her for a second round if last night.

“In that case,” she starts to walk to the bed, jumping with her last step and sits down on the bed with her legs crossed.

I watch her as she places the pink lily on the tray, picks up a fresh red strawberry and takes a bite.

It was yet another mundane morning but something about getting to spend it with her by my side made it a million times better and I want to have that every day.

I want to see her smile every day because of me.

I want to see every side of her. The happy, the sad and the unknown sides of her.

Even her mad side because I could tell she was getting frustrated with me while we were packing our bags after breakfast because I kept distracting her with kisses and a few orgasms that helped her build the stress of packing off her shoulders.

But only for a short moment.

The stress always came right back when she saw the mess on the floor with her clothes.
