3. Indi #2

Spider rested his head on my shoulder, speaking in my ear. “Get to it, Indi. It’s showtime.” I nodded, knowing I needed to get down there. Spider melted into the crowd, leaving me alone.

You got this, Indi.

I took another deep breath, forcing my anxiety down as I forced my way back into the crowd.

Gripping the railing tightly, my heels clanked along the glass stairs that led down to the lower level of the club.

My eyes scanned my surroundings, noticing the handful of dancers in cages, dressed in the smallest metallic bikinis, wearing mostly body glitter and neon paint, dancing as if they were rolling on molly.

God, I don’t miss that shit.

I stepped onto the lower level, my green wig glowing in the black light. Instinct and old habits took over as I walked through the club, heading toward the direction of the VIP booths. I also spotted another woman in bottle service walking through the crowd with a couple of bottles of champagne.

Perfect.

I bobbed around a crowd of wasted men, walking a bit closer.

One of the men, dressed in a suit and completely wasted, raised his arm as I purposefully bumped into it, spilling the man’s glass as the ice from his drink spewed down at the woman's feet.

She slipped, nearly falling back as I happened to catch her.

“Oh my gosh!” I shouted as her eyes met mine. “Are you alright?”

The woman nodded as I helped her up. “Here.” She handed me the bottles and proceeded to smack the drunken businessman, shouting at him as his friends laughed at the commotion. I quickly walked away, carrying the bottles close, smiling at how easy that was.

Now…to set the bait.

I carried the bottles high, shaking my head side to side, swaying with the music while approaching the VIP booths.

I quickly spotted Ray and his men, the group seated in one of the booths just off the dance floor.

They were all smoking, tossing back some cheap-ass-looking whiskey.

The lights shifted again, strobing as the DJ put on a track with a slower bass.

The lights shifted around the club, the lights nearly reflecting off the shiny black leather of my gloves and dress, showing off the curves of my body.

“Hello boys!” I shouted over the music, stepping up to the booth with a seductive smile. “Did someone order bottle service?” I asked, raising the champagne bottles.

Ray lowered his shades, looking me up and down. “Sorry, hermosa, but I think you might have the wrong booth.”

I dropped my smile, pretending to pout. “Oh shoot!” I stomped my foot, knowing my tits bounced at the movement.

“I guess I mixed things up again!” I batted my eyes.

“But…I can’t return these once they’ve hit the floor.

” My head tilted as Ray’s eyes lingered a bit longer.

His little group whispered among themselves, arguing over whether or not they should take the bottles.

Ray shushed them all, pushed the shades back, and leaned back in the booth. He raised his hand, motioning me forward. I smiled, bringing him the champagne.

Nailed it.

He pulled me close and popped one of the bottles, smiling as I squealed at the loud sound. “Oh, thank you so much! It’s my first day on the floor, and I’m still learning.”

Ray shrugged. “It’s alright, hermosa. We all make mistakes.” He pulled a wad of bills from his pocket and offered it to me. “I won’t tell anyone if you don’t.”

I reached out to grab the bills as he pulled me onto his lap. I reached for the wad, but he pulled the money back, taunting me.

Typical.

Ray grinned, revealing his gross smile. “Why don’t you tell me your name first?” He tried to brush my hair from my neck, but I straightened my posture and lifted the bottle, gently forcing his mouth open as I poured it directly onto his tongue.

“My name’s Kaylan. Kaylan Flowers.”

He swallowed the champagne. “Well, Kaylan, since you’re new here, why don’t we become friends? Huh?.” He brushed my cheek as I sheepishly smiled.

“I love making new friends,” I whispered, forcing some more champagne down his throat.

Ray swallowed again. “I couldn’t agree more.” He then held the cash out to me. “Go on.” He motioned to me. “You earned it.”

I hesitated before taking the wad. “Thank you, friend.” I stuffed the wad between my tits, returning to my feet. His group all ooed and hollered over the whole interaction, proving just how dry their sex lives must really be. I tried not to roll my eyes and gag at their teen-like behavior.

“Call me Ray.”

I smiled. “Well, Ray, is there anything I can get for you or your party?”

He nodded. “Yeah, why don’t you get us a round of shots?” He pulled a black card out of his pocket, waving it in the air. “And while you’re at it, some party favors wouldn’t be so bad.”

I took the card, purposefully letting my fingers linger along his hand for a few extra seconds. “You got it, Ray.” I winked, sliding the card between my tits, next to the wad of cash he’d tipped me. “I’ll be right back. Don’t go anywhere.”

The entire group of men reacted as I walked away, and as soon as I had my back to them, I dropped the smile and gagged. “Fucking men,” I groaned to myself.

I pushed my way through the crowd of dancing people, walking across the club towards the bar. Haze’s back was to me as he mixed a drink, but seeing the way his muscles moved beneath the tight shirt made my thighs tighten. He looked so fucking good, even from behind.

Control yourself, Indi. Now is not the time.

I adjusted my cleavage and fixed the wig as I approached the bar, wearing a genuine smile.

“Excuse me?” I knocked on the bar top to catch his attention.

“Bartender?” Haze slowly turned around, topping off the drink in his hand with a cherry.

Even with his hair tucked away and those dark colored contacts, he looked good. Damn good.

He looked at me with such focus, sliding the drink off to the man next to me. “What can I get you?” he asked, tossing a towel over his shoulder.

I leaned down, pressing my breasts together. “A round of shots and…” I stopped, looking around as I wiggled my finger for him to move closer. He looked around the club before leaning towards me. I whispered into his ear, struggling not to kiss him. “Some party favors.”

Haze pulled back, acting completely casual. “I can get those shots together for you, but as for the other request.” He stopped and crossed his arms. “I’m afraid you’ll have to head to the back for those. But you already knew that, right?”

Why is he being so…calm? Is this about earlier? Is he mad at me?

Just then, a trio of women approached the bar. They all twirled their hair and flashed their smiles at my brother, giggling as he greeted them. “Excuse me,” one of them shouted. I watched as Haze smiled back at them, leaning across the bar top. “Can we get some drinks, please?”

Haze didn't even look at me. “Sure thing, sweetheart.”

Sweetheart?!

“Just let me take care of this young lady first.” His eyes moved to me. “Still want those shots?”

Motherfucker.

With a forced smile, I tilted my head and stood tall.

“You know what.” I slipped the black card from my breasts and slid it across the bar top towards him, watching as his smile fell.

“I do. And while you’re at it, my customer would just love to buy these ladies their drinks.

” The trio of women gasped and thanked me, completely unaware of the game I was playing.

“Oh, and keep the tab open. I have a feeling this VIP customer is going to be demanding much more of me tonight.” My smile fell as I turned to walk away.

Haze gripped my wrist, stopping me. I snapped my head to look back at him. “Don’t you want to wait for those drinks?”

I ripped my hand free. “Sorry, but I’m busy.

” My eyes flicked to the trio of women. “And you seem to have your hands full, Bud.” He clenched his jaw at my tone.

“But you know what, you look like you’re really enjoying yourself tonight.

So.” I pulled the wad of cash from my tits and tossed it to him.

“Why don’t you take that and go buy yourself something pretty. ”

Haze squeezed the cash in his fist. “What is this?” he asked, his temper slowly seeping through the facade he wore.

I smiled, tossing the green hair over my shoulder. “A very generous tip from a very generous man. Keep it. I’m sure I’ll get another from him, or any of the VIP guests tonight. Oh, try to have those shots ready when I get back. I would hate to upset my new friend.”

I turned and walked away, fuming as I pushed through the club toward the back.

Now we’re fucking even.

I pushed through the back door of the club, brushing past a few other women in bottle service. I made my way to the back office, knocking on the door. The club manager looked up from her desk, peeking over the brim of her glasses at me. “Yes?”

“I need some party favors.”

The older, red-haired woman eyed me. “You’re that new girl, huh?” She grunted. “VIP?”

I nodded. “Lower-level booth. The customer's name is Ray.”

The woman smoked her cigarette and crossed her arms as she leaned back in her chair. “Card or cash?”

“Card. Black card, open tab at the bar just outside.”

The woman smiled. “Oh…open tab already? Hmm. You seem seasoned for a new girl. What’s your name, tits?”

“You can call me Flowers.”

The manager nodded, standing from her chair. “Flower, huh? Nice stage name.” She walked across the room to an old watercolor picture on the wall, lifting it to reveal a small wall safe. “How many in the party?”

I quickly recounted the group in my head. “Just six.”

She pulled six tiny bags of mixed drugs from the safe before stopping and adding an extra.

The older woman shut the same, returning the painting before sitting back down at her desk.

She opened a drawer, pulling out a pack of cigarettes, dumping them across the desk before tucking the drugs inside. “Here.” She tossed the pack at me.

Something’s never change.
