Chapter Two.

Warren

I finger the ring in my pocket as I watch my brother order our drinks at the bar. He and Jess are up to something.

But then again, so am I.

I pull out the box and place it on the table in front of him while he sets the drinks down. Dare’s eyebrow raises as he sits and takes the box in his hand.

“Awe shucks bro. You shouldn’t have.” I groan as I lift the whiskey to my lips and he flips the ring box open.

“Wow, even I would say yes to this. Christ Warren it’s beautiful.” He carefully pulls the three-carat pink marquise cut diamond solitaire out and lifts it to the light.

“I swear it gleamed the same pink her pussy does when she’s dripping our cum.” My dick hardens at the memory and Dare chuckles as he puts the ring back in the box before sliding it back to me.

“Romantic. So, what does this mean for our current lifestyle?” I nod, knowing he’d be worried about that.

“We both love her, but only one of us can marry her legally. If I do it, she’ll get all my benefits. Financially, it made sense. Regardless, she’ll carry our name, so I thought I’d make you a fair deal.” I lean in closer and look my twin in his eyes.

“I marry her. You knock her up.” Dare’s eyes flare with desire, and he swallows hard.

“You have a deal. But we both propose, and we make her a triad partner at Yearn.” I nod once and lean back, satisfied with the conversation.

“Now tell me what the little vixen is planning tonight.” Dare tries and fails to keep his face neutral.

“Not a fucking chance.” I laugh as he starts to fidget.

“Not even a hint?” I prod, but for once, Dare doesn’t cave under my watchful eye.

“Sure, here’s a hint. You’ll love it because it’s from Jess.” Fucker.

I shake my head as I sip my drink, and he glows with victory.

Laugh it up, bro.

“One day this will be you, and I’ll remember how you couldn’t throw me a fucking bone.” His laughter grows as my mood sours.

I hate nothing knowing which makes surprises unbearable. I’m sure it’s the military man in me. I must be prepared for all outcomes.

“Control freak.” Dare teases.

“Like you’re not?” His face morphs into the Dom, and he places his drink down slowly.

“Only for her. When are we asking?” I sigh and try to keep my true feelings hidden from him.

“You’re nervous,” I grunt and shake my head.

“Am not.” The fucker points at my face, which I can feel has heated with a very uncharacteristic blush.

“Holy shit, you are! Are you worried she’ll say no? Cause I can pretty much guarantee it’ll be a yes bro.” Dare sips his drink without a single care in the world.

“It’s a big fucking step,” I argue, but deep down I know I have nothing to worry about.

Jess loves us unconditionally.

“The only thing that will be different is the way she signs her name. We already live together. I’m the one who needs to be worried. I gotta create a whole human with her. Now that is fucking nerve-wracking.” Okay, he’s got a fair point.

“Do you know if your swimmers work?” I grin at the glare Dare sends my way.

“I am the younger one, and my pipes have had regular maintenance throughout the years. Unlike a stern, stuck-up soldier whose poor balls have suffered in those tighty whities for the past twenty-odd years.” I roll my eyes at his lack of uniform knowledge.

“I wear boxers, asshole.” I sip my whiskey and nod.

“Now, but the constant blue balls you suffered on deployments stand.” I can’t help but laugh at the truth.

I didn’t always have the luxury of privacy to jerk off, let alone get a quickie in with some random woman. Not that I was ever the type of man to do that, but I’d be lying if I didn’t admit to a few one-night stands throughout my career.

“Jess is young and healthy. I’ll get the job done.” I can see how he struggles not to pound his chest like Tarzan.

“Oops, will you look at the time. Drink up, bro. We have dinner plans tonight.” He tips up his tumbler and swallows a finger’s worth of whiskey in one go without making a face.

“What’s on the menu?” I ask with as much nonchalance as I can muster before following my twin’s lead and downing the whiskey.

I let out a little whistle when the burn hits my throat, but I manage to keep my face from puckering up.

“Jess, if we’re lucky.” Wow, that was a really nice avid of my question.

He’s gotten used to me being around constantly now that we’ve all moved in together.

“We’re always lucky.” Dare checks his phone and frowns.

“What’s up?” He pinches the bridge of his nose and curses softly.

“Nothing I can’t fix in five minutes. Mind if we detour to Yearn? I need to handle this before we meet Jess.” I shrugged, not knowing what the actual plan is tonight, so I’m on his timetable regardless.

“Do I have a choice?” Dare slaps my shoulder with a wide grin on his face.

“Nope, but I appreciate the new go with the flow War. It’s fucking refreshing. Come on. If we’re late, Jess might not feed us.” I roll my eyes as I grab my coat.

“I’m blaming you! I want my dessert tonight.” I follow after Dare as he holds open the door for me.

“Don’t you always?” We both laugh as we head to his car.

“Since we could talk.”
