"That's all I could pull up, which should be enough. Give me a few more days to get the exact names of the confidential informants. That's not my department, and these cases are sealed tighter than a virgin, so it's gone take a while, but I will get it back to you,
" Paul said as he handed me a few files.
He was the son of crooked police chief Todd Adam's and just so happens to be an up and coming FBI agent with a gambling problem.
He also has a financial problem that involves a wife, a baby momma, and a girlfriend, as well as a foreclosure on his home.
It seems his father has still been supporting his overgrown ass son and was all too eager to have the load lifted off his shoulders when I reached out to him.
That, and the fact that I'd deposited a hundred grand into both their bank accounts for any information he or his son could give me.
"Appreciate the information. But I expect to hear back from you very soon, because this is a situation I needed handled a while ago," I said, getting out his car.
Walking back to my truck, I got in as Kilo pulled off.
"I don't know why you just don't let the lawyer do his job, that's what you paying his ass for," Kilo said.
"Nigga when you ever known me to sit back and let a muthafucka do for me what I'm capable of doing my damn self. Besides, I have little patience these days so I handling shit on my own," I said.
Opening the file, I briefly thumbed through it just to see if it was indeed information I didn't already have.
Had Shaniya not been bullshitting around these last few days talking bout she sick and shit, I wouldn't have had to go this route.
I suspected the hoe was lying since I told her I was no longer coming to her crib to get what the fuck I needed.
"And that's your problem now, you not Superman nigga. I keep telling yo ass you got a team of niggas on payroll for a reason, use them." He said.
"Shit I am, ain't yo ass driving me around right now? Seems like I'm using them to me," I said.
"Fuck you nigga, you know that the fuck I mean," He said.
"I don't know shit. And while we on the subject of shit I don't know, what's up with you, crackhead Amber and her kid?"
"Nigga, didn't I tell you and Jugg to stop calling her crackhead Amber?" Kilo said.
"Man, gone head with that shit. That's gone forever be that bitch's name. A nigga don't give a fuck if she got clean or not," I said, brushing him off.
"Like I told you the other day, it ain't even like that with us. She needed help, so I helped her," he said like he was done with the subject.
"Don't start this shit again bruh. I don't trust that bitch at all. I know she up to something. You don't owe that hoe shit but your ass to kiss. And, her kid ain't your damn problem either. Who the fuck have a baby by a nigga and not know he a fuckin predator?
That shit prolly a lie she made up as well. That bitch don't care but nobody but herself," I said.
"You think I trust that hoe? Fuck no, but I do care about what happens to Jayleah. She's a sweet kid and it ain't her fault she got a fucked up ass mammy for a mother and a child molester for a father," He said.
Shaking my head, I said, "What part of that's not your damn child did you forget, my nigga?"
"Shit, the same way you forget Royalty's not really yours, but you'll kill anybody who tell you different." He said.
Clenching my jaw, I tried to keep the beast that threatened to rise at bay.
He of all people knew not to try me bout my child.
Hell, as crazy as it sounded, even I couldn't understand the deep attachment I'd developed for my princess.
I sometimes forget she didn't come from my nutsack, but that's merely a technicality in my eyes.
That was my daughter and I dared a muthafucka to try and tell me different.
I'd lay down this whole fucking city behind that one.
"Aye I love you like a brother but let that be the last time you say some shit like that. Fuck you mean she not really mine?" I said.
"I'm not going back over this same argument with yo ass. You know that the fuck I mean. Jayleah calls me Uncle Kilo so I'm damn sure not tryna be her daddy. I'm just saying wanting to take care of and protect her is no different from you feeling strongly about Royalty," he said.
"Nigga that shit not even almost the damn same. And you just met this damn baby you ain't know her long enough to feel no type of way," I said.
"Nigga you just met your baby as well ain't even two months," Kilo said.
"Nigga I will shoot yo bitch ass stop fuckin' playing with me," I laughed but in a tone that let him know I was serious; this wasn't a fuckin' joke. I would really shoot this nigga, not to kill him but to make him feel that sting of pain. Actions always got through to a muthafucka louder than words.
"Aye, let's drop this conversation cus it's not getting us nowhere. Yo big soft ass so deep in yo feeling bout yo daughter that you not tryna hear what I'm saying. We can talk about this shit again when yo period goes off," Kilo said as I put the file down and simply smirked at him.
Then, quicker than he could blink I had pulled a butterfly knife out of my pocket and stabbed his ass through his hand that was gripping the steering wheel.
"Son of a bitch," Kilo said grunting. Other than twitching his hand, the nigga barely reacted at all to having a knife through his hand.
"Shit it must be that time of the month for you to cuz we both bleeding," I said.
"Fuck you nigga, you got blood on my jeans. And you better hope I don't need stitches or I'm pressing charges," he said laughing as he pulled up to a red light before pulling the knife out of his hand.
"Snitches get stitches," I said laughing.
"And that's why I'm telling Journi that yo ass was not doing that diet with her ass while she was in the hospital. Don't forget I was sneaking you food," he said. I just looked at him for a beat before saying,
"You know a nigga was just playing with you, that's my fault. I'll buy you some new jeans, and I'll even throw in some chocolate and a couple tampons," I said as we both bust out laughing.
It was some sick shit to casually be laughing like I ain't just stab this nigga, but this wasn't shit but another normal day.
"But aye it's something that's been bothering me since you ass got arrested and almost had to be somebody's bitch in jail," Kilo said once we stopped laughing.
"You got me fucked up," I said.
"Ok but seriously though I was thinking maybe shit wasn't a good idea keeping that nigga Trey alive. Whose to say he ain't have shit to do with all of this? True he did rob them bricks thinking he was getting at Cam, but that don't mean he ain't double back and set you up.
For all we know that nigga still tied into all of this shit somehow. Shit ain't start really happening with these raids and shit until after we got back from the A," he said.
"Naw this was all in play before he came in the picture. Regardless of him robbing John, that nigga had been an informant since they let him go after busting him with all them drugs. That chain had already been set in motion,
and really it was prolly good that nigga got robbed because he would have led the FEDS right to Pharaoh. Although we ain't never did bad business with him, who knows if that nigga cut like that to not fold if the Feds had ran down on him. As far as Trey goes,
I left him breathing because he's more useful to me alive than he is dead," I said.
"He in Atlanta beefing with Cam. That's eyes on Cam I don't have to pay for. A dead man can't watch shit for me."
"And if he double crosses you?" Kilo said.
"He won't. Before I left, I told that nigga if he ever played with me again, I was gone chop his baby girl up and mail her ass back to him piece by piece. And seeing as we both know niggas love their daughters, I think he got the message loud and clear."
