Ava Gray #2
On the bed, I lay back as he climbed on top of me. With one of my legs on his shoulder, he invited himself back inside of my sacred haven.
“Open your mouth and hold your tongue out.”
Without hesitation, I complied.
His tongue swirled around mine as he sucked on it like a piece of candy.
He was fucking me so good that I didn’t even blink when he spit in my mouth.
He did it so smoothly; my arms wrapped around his neck for more.
Yeah, call me nasty. I don’t care. He kept my mouth covered with his until I felt him twitch inside me.
When he came up for air, this man stared into my soul as he released every seed into my womb.
“Girl, I’m trying to tell you. I better not see that man out here in these streets.” Aja popped her lips.
Apparently, Rob had been harassing her, trying to get in contact with me.
Aja hadn’t been saying anything to me about it because she didn’t want me stressed out.
If the nigga wanted to get in touch with me, he would.
The same way he popped up at my parents, and sent the police and tow truck to Aja’s house.
That’s exactly why I never wanted to involve my family in my bullshit dealing with Rob.
I was no longer interested in giving him any more of my energy.
The nigga took my car, okay cool. Aja had let me borrow her Lexus until I was able to buy myself a new car.
When it came to my village, I was forever thankful and grateful.
I listened to my sister talk her shit for a good fifteen minutes before I told her I’d call her back later.
Any conversation involving Rob drained the hell out of me.
Those days were slowly but surely coming to end.
The weather was nice out, so I figured it would be the perfect time to get out of the house and take Savannah to the park.
I really wanted to take a ride to the beach, but I decided to stay in town and chill.
There weren’t too many people around, so I played with my baby on the swings and slides for a little while.
We ran around and went for a walk around the track.
I wanted to tire her out, so she’d get home, eat, take a good bath, and pass out for the night.
We were walking back to my car when my phone rang. It threw me off because it wasn’t my personal cell; it was my work phone.
“Hello?”
“Ava?” Mrs. Whitmore spoke.
“Yes, ma’am. How are you?”
“I’m doing well. I know it’s your day off, but I need you to come to the office. We need to have a word with you.” Her tone was a little concerning.
“We? Um…okay. Since I’m not on the clock, is it okay if I bring my daughter? We’re just leaving the park.”
“That’s fine. I’ll see you soon.”
“Okay.”
When the call disconnected, I looked around in confusion.
I wondered who the hell she was referring to when she said we.
I knew I did nothing wrong, so I had to calm my nerves because my mind was doing the most and thinking of all kinds of crazy things.
What if she wanted to talk about the affairs between Ethan and me?
It took me twenty minutes to pull up. I told Savannah where we were going and what I had to do.
I needed her to be on her best behavior while we were inside the building.
Once we stepped out the elevator, Stephanie was standing in the hallway waiting.
“Hey, what’s going on?” I gave a nervous smile.
“Girl, I have no idea. Mrs. Whitmore randomly called for an emergency meeting but didn’t say why.”
Stephanie led us to the conference room where the family was already seated. When Savannah caught a glimpse of Ethan, she ran straight to him for a hug.
“Is it okay if Stephanie sits right outside the door with her, so we can talk?” Mrs. Whitmore asked.
“Uh, yea, that’s fine.”
I motioned for Savannah to come back to me. As I spoke, I signed, letting her know how nice Stephanie was and that she needed to be good while I talked. She nodded, letting me know she understood while grabbing Stephanie’s hand. Once they were out the door, Ethan spoke up first.
“Alright, we’re all here now, so what’s up?” His attention was focused on Mrs. Whitmore.
“Yes. I’ll get straight to the point. and I want to start off by saying that here at Whitmore Financial Banking, we don’t tolerate any type of soliciting, even if it’s on your own personal time.
As our employee, specifically as an assistant, our family name is automatically connected to yours. ” She was looking dead at me.
“Therefore, there are certain standards that should always be taken into consideration when you are not in our presence or on the job.”
This woman had me confused as hell because I had no idea what the hell she was talking about.
“I’m sorry, but I don’t know where this conversation is stemming from. I always carry myself in a positive, professional and classy manner on and off the clock. I—”
“Does this look classy to you?” Trenton tossed a bunch of papers on the table.
The way he tossed the papers, I could tell he was eagerly waiting for that moment to put me on blast. Ethan and I both leaned in at the same time to get a good look.
My eyes zoomed in on what was in front of me and my heart dropped.
I had to pick them up to get a better look because I knew damn well I wasn’t seeing what I thought I was.
Immediately, I was consumed with anger as I shuffled through what looked like ads for prostitution.
Different pictures of me posing naked in various positions.
My name was printed along with my number and where I worked.
At that moment, I wanted to cry my eyes out because my heart began to ache.
Every last picture was an old picture I had sent to Rob.
It was during a time when I was trying to spice shit up in our marriage.
This nigga really put my shit out there like I was selling my body and turning tricks.
“We can’t allow this type—”
“I didn’t do this. My…my…I’m going through a divorce, and my ex is an evil person. He’s been trying to sabotage me, and nothing has worked. I promise I can make this right. I need this job, okay. Please give me a chance to fix this. I would never put myself out there like this.”
Frustration got the best of me and the tears began to flow.
“Calm down,” Julia whispered before hugging me.
“This wasn’t intentional on her behalf. It’s obvious that this is a revenge porn tactic.” Julia spoke up.
“Revenge porn? How the hell would you know that?” Trenton scoffed.
“Other than being an employee, Ava is actually a good friend of mine. That’s how I know, asshole.”
“Julia, language.” Mrs. Whitmore interjected.
I didn’t want to bring any type of heat to their family or their business. Hell, knowing Rob, that wasn’t the only degrading trick he had up his sleeve. This man had videos of us together and just me by myself.
“I’m sorry about this, I truly am. Um…I think I’ma just clear my office and resign. I don’t know what else could take place, and I don’t want to have your company in the crossfire. I’m so sorry.”
I stormed out of the office with the pictures in hand. I grabbed my daughter and rushed out to my car. Rob had me fucked up, and I wasn’t about to let this shit slide. I knew I would have to be prepared for a fight, though. A fight I didn’t plan to lose.
“Ava! Ava, hold up!” I heard Ethan yelling behind me as I strapped Savannah in her seat.
“I have to go!” I cried. “That muthafucka thinks he has the power to ruin any and everything good in my life. He knows exactly how much this job means to me. He’s trying to tear my world apart because he thinks that’s the only way I’ll come back to his triflin’ ass!” I was heated.
“Amore, listen to me. Chill and breath.” His calm tone helped me to relax a bit.
His thumbs swiped against my face, gently removing the tears that fell.
“First off, I’m not about to let you resign. Even if they wanted to fire you, you already know how I’m coming. That’s some fuck shit he pulled, and I promise you I’ma handle it. Look at me.” He held my face. “Stop allowing that muthafucka to get under your skin. Do you hear me?”
The color of his eyes were changing. I knew then that he was trying to keep both of us calm at the same time. I nodded my head to acknowledge what he said.
“I hear you, but I think I need to take some time off until I get this shit under control.”
“If that’s what you want to do, I got you. But I don’t want to see you cryin’ over that muthafucka ever again. Is that understood?” He held my chin.
I wasn’t crying over Rob; that stopped a long time ago. I cried because I made it so easy for him to alter my feelings. He had too much control over my emotions when I shouldn’t have allowed him to.
“Amore, I said, is that understood?”
“Yes.” I sniffed.
“Good girl.” He kissed my forehead. “Now, do me a favor. Take this card and go treat you and Savannah to something nice.” He slid a black card in the crease of my cleavage.
“I have two meetings to sit through. See if your sister can watch baby girl for the night. Let her know I’ll have Ace come through to drop off some cash.” He messed around with his key ring.
“When I get home, I want you waiting for me in my bed. No clothes. And I want your hair in a ponytail. Alright?” He placed his house key in my hand.
“Okay.” I smiled.
He pulled me close and placed the softest kiss on my lips. Although my adrenaline was still pumping, it’s crazy how Ethan managed to give me a sense of peace. That’s exactly what he was…my peace.
