Ava Gray
After giving it a lot of thought, I figured resigning was a stupid move.
At the end of the day, I still needed to provide for my daughter and get my shit together.
I made good money working for the Whitmores, and I’d be dumb as hell to give up the pay.
I needed to continue stacking my paper, so I could buy my own place and car.
I hated the feeling of starting over, but at the same time, it was liberating.
Today, I had been running around all day for Trenton and Gwen. I was so busy that I had to grab my lunch while waiting for Gwen’s clothes to be finished at the cleaners.
“Here you go, Mrs. Whitmore. I made sure everything is ready and set to go for your meeting tomorrow. I also put in the order for the flowers you requested. Do you need anything else before I head home?” I politely asked.
“No, that’s fine,” she dryly said.
“Okay, well, you enjoy the rest of your day.” I forced a smile.
I turned on my heels to walk away before she called out my name.
“Yes, ma’am?” I faced her again.
“Are you screwing Ethan?” She took a sip of her wine.
That caught me off guard.
“Um, respectfully, Mrs. Whitmore, what I do outside of this company isn’t anyone's business but my own. I don’t feel comfortable answering such personal questions.”
“Well, pardon me for asking. But I should make myself clear that it’s against the company's rules for employees to get involved with each other romantically or sexually while on the clock.”
“Who said I was doing any of that?” I asked with a slight attitude.
“Honey, it’s not like the two of you are trying to be discreet.
And one can only assume that what I’m asking is true because you’re still here despite my effort of firing you.
To me that says a lot. If my husband was alive, none of this would be taking place.
It’s nothing against you because Ethan isn’t my son.
But in this family, we like to keep our lineage pure, if you know what I mean. ” She sipped her wine again.
I knew exactly what her old, botox in the face ass meant, and that shit was racist as fuck. It explained why Trenton behaved the way he did.
“Well, thank God he isn’t your son. Enjoy the rest of your day.” I walked out.
That shit just irritated the hell out of me. Leaving her office, I went back to mine, so I could make sure everything on my checklist had been checked off. My only hope was that Stephanie didn’t have anything extra for me to do, so I could go home and relax for a few hours.
As soon as I opened my office door, I was greeted by a bouquet of flowers on my desk.
The beautiful mixture of red roses and sunflowers caused my lips to spread into a wide smile.
My fingers lightly felt the softness of the petals as I took a sniff.
I plucked the white card that was neatly placed and read the note.
Thought I’d get you something to make you smile. I hope you like it. -Ethan
I ran my fingers across the petals once more before placing the card back on the floral pick. The irritation I felt was now replaced with admiration.
“Did they make you smile?”
I jumped at the sound of his voice because I wasn’t expecting him to be standing behind me.
“Yes, they did. That was sweet of you.” I smiled. “They’re beautiful.”
“I thought you would’ve gotten them earlier. I noticed you hadn’t called to say anything, so I figured I would pull up on you.”
“Oh, yeah. I’ve been super busy. It’s been one hell of a day.” I sighed.
“Sounds like you need a stress reliever.” He closed the door and locked it.
I stood still as Ethan walked toward me.
He looked so damn good today. Shit, he looked good every damn day.
The way he wore his royal blue dress shirt with the top button undone.
His sleeves rolled up to his elbows. His tattoos decorating his arms and the peek of his chest made my mouth water.
So caught up in my dirty thoughts, he caught me off guard when he scooped me up to place me on the desk.
I instantly grew nervous because we’d never done it in the office.
Shit, I was just accused of fuckin’ on the clock, and there he was, trying to get something started.
“Relax,” he smirked. “Ain’t nobody coming in here.”
His hands glided up my legs slowly and gently.
Electricity shot through me from his touch.
As he rubbed on me, he lifted my dress to my hips before spreading my legs apart.
Soft, sweet kisses trailed the inside of my thighs as I leaned back slightly to get comfortable.
Kneeling in front of me, he pulled my heels off my feet before placing them on his shoulders.
He wasted no time pulling my panties off and then diving into my goodness.
“Sssss!” I sucked in air as he latched onto my pearl.
I knew I had to keep quiet, so I wouldn’t draw attention to my office.
The way he was feasting on me, I knew he wouldn’t be hungry for anything else for the rest of the day.
His hands gripped my thighs, keeping them apart from squeezing his head.
I needed to release, but I wasn’t trying to explode in my work clothes.
He was trying to make this shit messy, and I couldn’t bring myself to do it.
“Ethannn!” I whined in a whisper.
I held onto the back of his head, massaging my fingers into his scalp.
“You have to stop! Baby, please stop. Shitttt!” I felt my legs vigorously shake.
I let out a deep breath when he stopped to come up for air.
“Why you so loud?” He smirked.
His thumb rubbed in slow circles around my slippery clit.
“Am I making your day a little better?”
“You’re making my day a whole lot better.” I moaned.
His lips trailed kisses along the side of my neck and pecked all over my face.
“Good.” He went back under.
He didn’t stop until I juiced his face with my love. My body trembled as I tried to get my breathing under control.
“I'll hold on to these.” He held my panties in his hand, sniffed them, then stuffed them in his pocket.
I got down from the desk and fixed myself. My head spun as I tried to come down from being so high off him.
“What else do you have on your schedule?” he asked.
“I’m done for the day.” I used paper towels to clean my thighs.
“Bet, let’s go for a ride.”
He didn’t say where we were going, and I wasn’t even pressed to ask.
I made sure everything was in place and put away before grabbing my purse and following him outside.
As always, we jammed to the music as he cruised down the highway.
On the opposite side of town, he pulled up to a small shopping center.
Once we got out of the car, hand in hand, he led the way into a place called Sunny’s.
When we entered, Ethan was greeted by the guy behind the counter. They talked for a moment before the guy had us follow him to a room in the back.
“You’re about to get a grill?” I asked.
“Nah, I’m about to have you molded for some.”
“Seriously? You don’t think I would look crazy?” I laughed.
“Hell nah. We’re just going for the bottom today.”
I had always wanted to get a grill. Actually, when Ace got his first pair, I was supposed to go with him to get mine, but he went without me.
Then I met Rob, and he wasn’t into all of that.
Well, not for me, at least. He thought it was too ratchet for me to walk around like I was from the projects.
I didn’t look at it that way, though. With the right cut and design, I knew that shit would go hard.
I sat in the chair and waited for the guy to give instructions. It was actually a quick process. Lowkey, I was excited and couldn’t wait to see myself in the mirror.
“How long will it take to make?” I asked once the mold was out of my mouth.
“Normally, it takes about seven to fourteen days, depending on the design. I’ve known my boy EJ for a minute, and he’s what I consider a VIP customer. So, I’ll see to it that you’ll have them back in about three days,” the guy informed me.
I looked over at Ethan with a huge smile.
“Smile for me, daddy,” I joked.
That made him laugh, putting his gold mouth on full display.
Just then, my phone rang, which I had to dig through my purse to find. It was Julia.
“Hello?”
“Hey, girl! I wasn’t sure if Stephanie reminded you or not about tonight.”
“Oh, no she didn’t. Girl, I’ve been so busy today, it’s insane. I didn’t forget, though. I already have everything I’m supposed to bring, packed up and waiting to be put in the car. As soon as me and Aja drop the kids off at our parents we’ll be on the way.” I told her.
“Okay, cool. Sounds good to me. I’ll see you tonight!” she said excitedly.
After hanging up, Ethan looked at me strangely.
“What y’all got going on?” he asked.
“A girls’ night.” I smirked.
“Oh yeah? I would hate to have to drag you out by your feet if you think you're gonna be showing your ass in public again.”
I had to laugh as I had flashbacks of that night at the strip club.
“See, you can pipe down because we’re actually kickin’ it at Julia’s house. So, no need for all the threats.” I playfully rolled my eyes.
“Yeah, okay.” He slapped my ass as we approached his car.
We were about to turn up tonight, and I was going to enjoy every bit of it. Shit, I needed it.
Aja and I had just dropped the kids off with our parents for the night.
We were in full blown party mode. I had the music blastin’ through the speakers while Aja put a blunt in rotation.
We weren’t too far from Julia’s place, and we were already lit.
I had texted her ten minutes ahead of time to let her know we were about to pull up in her driveway.
Initially, we were going to have a regular kickback.
It was Stephanie’s idea to change plans and suggest we have a sleepover.
She said it only made sense because we were going to be too drunk to drive home.
She was right because I damn sure wasn’t getting on the road intoxicated.
So, for extra fun, I thought it would be suitable if we all showed up in our pajamas.
