CHAPTER TWELVE

This was becoming child’s play. Easiest thing in the world. Stupid college kids who were so consumed about passing their classes they didn’t care where they met someone as long as it benefited them.

He was taking candy from babies. The only difference was he got the candy, not them.

They all acted like he was asking them for the moon.

What was it going to take to get a young woman to agree that she would obey him in all commands, cook, clean, sew, and perform any and all sexual acts at his request?

It shouldn’t be this difficult. After all, his own mother and sisters did it for their husbands.

His father’s tastes toward certain sexual proclivities were often extreme.

The older he got and the less he was able to perform, his mother was told to perform for other men for his father’s viewing pleasure.

She never argued. Not once. He needed a girl like his mother.

Someone that understood the assignment. The house should be sanitized and cleaned daily. The woman’s hands should be red and raw from the use of cleaning solutions. No dust, no dirt in corners or crevices.

Towels should be folded in a tri-fold manner, the smooth fold facing outward for easy gripping. Sheets were to be washed every two days, unless soiled due to activity. They should be starched and folded properly in the linen closet and when on the bed, show no signs of wrinkles or creases.

Dishes were a particular sore point for the men in his family. All dishes should be done by hand. No dishwashers. Spots on glasses or dishes were grounds for brutal punishment.

Births of children were to happen at home, no matter the complications. No outside medical teams need be involved or, heaven forbid, a male doctor or nurse see the woman naked.

Home cooked meals, from scratch should be on the table at exact times dictated by the male.

The men ate first, then the woman could eat what was left over.

There would be no pets in the home unless the husband determined it was appropriate to have a guard dog.

Nothing else. No mice, no rabbits, no fish, no cats. Nothing.

The only exception to animals were farm animals, all of which would remain in a barn or paddock. Again, the wife was responsible for any care of those animals. Milking, gathering eggs, tending to vegetable gardens and fruit trees.

Essentially, she was a work-horse. From sun up to sun down she was used as a beast of burden. The most important thing was that the woman be beautiful. Not just in her features. She should make other men jealous but understand her place.

It wasn’t a lot to ask for. Yet it seemed in this new generation of young women they didn’t see the need for a man in their lives or looked for a man solely based on finances or appearance.

Teller knew that he wasn’t a terrible looking man.

He was average height and weight. He went to the gym regularly and was fit and strong.

His hair was a dark brown, he was always well groomed, smelling nice.

His tastes in clothing had changed over the years, attempting to keep up with the styles and draw the attention of his young students.

His phone pinged, disrupting his thoughts. He looked down and smiled, checking himself in the mirror one more time. Leaving the phone on the table, he glanced at the message again and began to whistle.

I don’t understand why you need to see me but I’ll meet you outside the nursing building – Nicole
