CHAPTER THIRTY

The young Brett was more than happy to sing like a canary when he realized that he could get life in prison or the death penalty. Either was not something he wanted. Even if he couldn’t go home, he truly believed he would be allowed freedom to do as he wished.

Seven other young men were wandering the country seeking wives, just like Tyler. Given their primary locations, the Shadow Warriors sent teams to find them and bring them to justice. One way or another.

“It’s over?” asked Willa.

“For now,” said Finn, hugging her. “The compound is being investigated by the FBI but the challenge is getting those terrified young women to testify against the men. Even the children are refusing to say anything.”

“How can people be so brainwashed?” she asked.

“Babe these people have been screwed with for years. They’re either terrified, brainwashed, or just stupid. It could be all three but when their brains are messed with it takes time to get them right again.”

“Esther is being moved to a facility in Idaho,” said Willa. “They’re known for helping to detox and retrain the brain but also deal with her multiple injuries. She seemed relieved.”

“I think she’d been trying to find a way out for years. She was just a kid when she gave birth to Tyler. She’s got a lot of years left to live a good life, should she choose that.” He kissed Willa’s head, looking down at her. “Did Nicole and the others leave?”

“Yes. They went home this morning,” she nodded. “I think it’s going to be a while before she feels safe again. They’re thinking of suing the university for not doing a better job on the background check of Tyler.”

“They’d probably have a good case. You too, if you wanted it. You could talk to Brian.”

“You mean you’d let me talk to Brian?” she smirked.

“Don’t be ridiculous. I’d be with you,” he said with a serious expression. She crawled onto his lap, lifting her dress higher on her thighs, feeling his hard cock beneath her.

“Are you with me now, Finn?”

“Yep,” he growled.

She reached between them, unzipping his trousers as he lifted slight, pushing them down to his thighs.

“Still with me, Finn.”

“Fuck, yeah.”

She gripped his cock, pushing her thong to the side and sliding down on him. She was choking his dick she was so tight. He knew she was a virgin but she was determined to do this herself. Lowering a little at a time, then suddenly letting herself fall completely.

Willa gasped, holding her breath for a moment as Finn gripped the flesh at her hips.

“S-still with me,” she whispered.

“Baby, I’m fucking with you until the end,” he said in a gravelly voice, rocking his hips upward. She started to move, sliding her body back and forth along his thick cock.

“Oh, wow, Finn,” she whispered.

“You’re fucking perfect,” he whispered, gripping her hair to pull her head back and expose her neck. He kissed her, trailing down toward her gorgeous breasts. He ripped the buttons from her dress, pulling one perfect globe out for his enjoyment.

“More,” she begged as he rocked, then sucked one beautiful nipple, sending her over the edge of euphoria. She cried out as he slammed his mouth against hers, covering the sound, masking it from the night.

“Baby,” he murmured, his own body spilling into hers. “Baby, we didn’t use any protection.”

“I don’t care,” said Willa. “I don’t care and I hope I’m carrying your baby or babies. I want that, Finn. I want us to have a family like those around us have. I want to be great parents, one day great grandparents.”

“Oh, sweet girl, that’s what I want as well,” he said hugging her. “I can’t wait to begin our life together.”

“I think we should probably get married first, don’t you?” she smiled.

“Yep. And I’ve got the perfect place for our wedding.”

As the boats of the Mardi Gras flotilla passed the docks of Belle Fleur, people were tossing beads, coins, chocolate, cups, and much more. The revelers on the banks laughed and cheered, smiling at the silly costumes and decorations.

“Where’s Finn?” asked River.

“I don’t know. I haven’t seen Willa either. Maybe they’re in the cottage,” he smirked.

“Why are the boats stopping?” asked Marilisa.

“Look!” yelled Priscilla.

Standing on the top deck, facing the entire population of Belle Fleur, were Finn and Willa. The priest stood between them, both dressed in their wedding attire. Thanks to a speaker system, they heard every word that was said, in the end, pronouncing them man and wife.

They ran down the stairs to the waiting smaller boat and took it to the dock where everyone waited to congratulate them.

“You ass! You didn’t tell us?” laughed Quinn.

“We wanted to surprise everyone. Besides, Ajei, Kate, and the others knew. They have the food planned and the post-wedding celebration,” he said nodding toward the tents.

“We thought it was just an after party for the parades,” laughed Priscilla.

“Well, technically I suppose it is but it’s for family only. This is our night. All of our night. Tonight we celebrate family, love, and one another. No bad guys. No missions. No guns. No kidnappers. Just us.”

“We love you, brother,” grinned River, hugging his brothers, then their wives in one big circle.

“Alright, enough tears,” laughed Willa. “Let’s celebrate!”

“Ohhh,” said Marilisa. “Look at that. Shep and Samantha holding hands. That’s kind of new.”

“She’s coming to work for us full-time once she’s ready,” said Willa. “Until then, she and Shep are finding one another. I love it for both of them. He’s a great guy and she’s a wonderful friend, nurse, and woman.”

“I love that too,” said Finn.

He looked around at the crowd, noticing that Brian was laughing with a group of people. But he also noticed that he was alone. It was just him.

“Who are you watching?” asked Willa.

“Brian. I feel kind of bad for him. He deserves to find someone.” Willa smiled up at him. “What?”

“I just never thought I’d hear you say that about Brian,” she smirked.

“He deserves someone special, just not you,” he grinned. “Come on. Let’s celebrate Mrs. Finnegan Jordan.”

“Let’s do this, Mr. Finnegan Jordan.”
