Fire Magic & Ice Cream (Casual Magic #1)

Prologue

The Gods of the Elements exist in a realm no mortals may enter. They were born of Mother Universe and given control of an adorable little planet called Earth.

Some may say those living on Earth got a raw deal.

Like any big family, the Gods of the Elements host a range of personalities.

Goddess of Earth. The earth, not Earth, as her siblings constantly insist on clarifying.

All things green that sprout from the dirt are under her dominion.

She’s the oldest of the bunch, prone to nurturing and mothering her younger siblings.

Don’t be surprised if you hear her being called a bossy bitch on occasion.

No need to be offended on her behalf; she wears the title with pride.

Goddess of Iron. If she could dig a hole in the ground and stay there, she would. Commander of all metals and stones, she is an inventor, an artist, and the epitome of an introvert. Everyone’s business is their own, so keep the hell out of hers.

God of Water. All the oceans of the world shift and flow under the control of his hand, but why bother with controlling anything when letting loose is so much more fun? If a party is occurring, he is at the center of it, soaking in every ounce of celebration and giving back tenfold.

God of Ice. Master of all things cold and frozen and twin brother to Water, though he doesn’t often admit it.

Where his brother flows, he stands firm, responsible, structured, and uninterested in shenanigans.

In fact, if an outsider had to guess who his twin most likely was, the vote would be for the Goddess of Iron.

The two of them might get along, if either took the time to venture out of their comfort zone to invite the other out for a drink.

Deity of Wind. With a flick of their wrist, a tornado could barrel across a town, or a small kite could be lifted into the air.

Their emotions are ever-changing. They rarely conform to a shape, much less a gender.

They are mischievous, always planning pranks meant to knock their elder siblings down a peg or two, but at the same time, they bring smiles, even to the faces of Iron and Ice.

Goddess of Fire. Heat and flames dance to her tune, and she is not one for slow ballads. She is passion, excitement, lust, and fury. As the baby of the family, she learned to make herself heard, even if it meant burning everything to the ground in the process.

No doubt these siblings have tales to tell, but their adventures are not for mortal eyes or ears. Instead, let us meet their offspring. The descendants of the Gods of the Elements.

The Elementals.
