Chapter 6

SIX

SLATE

My shoulders ache as I walk out of the dungeon into the late night. My last client was a brat just begging for the cane, and I let him have it good at the end.

Now I’m hungry, both for food and for my Petal Pusher.

The Cactus Crepes truck sits two blocks down, the blocky blue machine lingering closer to a collection of nightclubs than the dungeon, waiting to scoop up tipsy dancers in need of a midnight snack.

As I approach, I count the crowd. At least ten people wait, and from the looks of their feather boas and the crown on one, I’m guessing Terra snagged herself a bachelorette party.

Instead of trying to wade through the ravenous mass, I climb into the back entrance, joining Terra in her mobile kitchen. After two months together, I know she won’t mind.

“Hey.” She tosses the word at me with a quick smile, all she can manage with her frazzled energy focused on filling orders.

“What do you need me to do?” On a slow night, Terra showed me all the steps of crafting her delicious creations. I’m no master, but can act as a plenty good sous chef.

“Oh, thank you. Register please. You handle orders and payment, I’ll cook everything.”

That works, too. As I slide past her, I make sure the transition goes smoothly by guiding her with two palms on her delicious ass.

“Slate,” she hisses at me, even as a grin plumps her cheeks.

I hold my hands up in mock surrender then grace the next customer with my signature smolder. The tip jar fills up fast.

“And here’s your one-of-a-kind cactus crepe.” I hand the creation to the woman in the crown as she gives me googly eyes. “Enjoy,” I purr to her, enjoying the flush of her cheeks.

Then she takes a bite, and I’m immediately forgotten. “Oh, my god.” The exclamation comes out garbled with food. She swallows. “This is fucking delicious. I need these at my wedding!” The bride-to-be stands on her tiptoes, gaze searching past me.

If I hadn’t tried Terra’s incomparable food before, I might be offended.

“Do you cater?” She shouts at my overworked girlfriend.

“Here.” I pluck one of the business cards off the windowsill, offering Terra’s contact info to her. “Send her your information.”

“Thanks,” the bride mumbles through another full mouth and wanders off into her crowd, tucking the card into her bra.

Pride clangs through my chest as more customers exclaim over the food Terra fashions with heart and skill.

In this space, she dominates, and I act her submissive.

The role reversal doesn’t bother me. Knowing this successful, confident woman hands herself over to my care every night is an automatic high.

I’ll never get enough of her.

After Terra hands off the final crepe, she turns to me with a sigh and a smile. “You have a good night?”

One more reason I’m a lucky bastard.

I’m a master in a pleasure dungeon, and Terra is fine with that.

Even after finding out my day job as a cyber security analyst provides me with a comfortable salary, she’s never even hinted she wants me to quit my side gig.

From the start, my Petal Pusher accepted this life as a part of me, something that brings me joy.

All Terra wants is to be the one I come home to.

Which is a fucking fantasy, because I can’t envision a more perfect person to spend every day with.

Asking Harley to give Terra that Winter Solstice gift was the best decision I ever made.

“Rough, but good. Left me wound up, though. I’ll need to work out some energy.”

She smirks and fingers the delicate metal collar around her neck that resembles a vine of ivy.

“I think I have a coupon to help with that.”
