Epilogue – Jude
Three Months Later
“What do you think?” Kat holds up her phone, showing me a picture of Hobbes she wants tattooed. “I think I’ll put him on my inner thigh.”
“Only if it’s a female tattoo artist,” I growl, nuzzling her neck with my nose.
“Fine. As long as I can have a Hobbes on me, I’ll be happy.” She gives me a seductive look.
“I’m a Hobbes. How about having me on your body?” I kiss the column of her neck, causing her to squirm in my arms.
“As much as I love having you on me and in me, you’re not always with me. I want something that will be with me every second of the day, reminding me of you. That’s why I chose Hobbes over Calvin.”
“You may want to rethink that.”
The shocked look on her face is well worth the surprise I have planned for her.
“What are you talking about?”
I lift her off my lap, set her on the couch, and drop to one knee before her as I pull the velvet engagement ring box from my pocket. “Will you marry me and carry my last name so you will always have a Hobbes with you?”
Her eyes fill with tears. “Yes,” as I slide the ring on her finger. “But I already have a Hobbes with me.” She places my hand on her still flat stomach.
“You’re pregnant?”
She nods.
“I love you, Kat.” I wrap my arms around her and pull her onto my lap.
“I love you too, Jude. What do you think we should name the baby?”
“Calvin, of course.”

Ember
My identical twin sister, Elsa, and I are the public face of our family’s multibillion-dollar jewelry company and the inspiration behind the latest collection, Frozen Flame. To the outside world, Elsa is the frozen part of the collection, the Ice Princess, while I’m the Flame, the Temptress.
To maintain appearances, Elsa is cold and aloof, never showing warmth. My public identity isn’t any better. As the Temptress, I’m expected to go out every night to the hottest clubs, attend movie premieres, and have a different boyfriend every other day—which is the farthest thing from the truth.
A threat against our family has Elsa, and I whisked away to separate secure locations and assigned our own personal bodyguard.
Instead of enjoying the peace and quiet of this quaint Texas town, I’ve been relocated to, I find myself drawn to my new protector and wanting him to see me as the Temptress everyone already thinks I am.
