Thanks for writing. But I think there’s been some kind of mistake. I didn’t sign up for a pen pal because I’m some lonely soldier with no family. I have a family. My military brothers. Who thought it would be hilarious if I received letters from some old, desperate woman.

Shit. I didn’t mean to say you’re old and desperate. You’re obviously not old. And you sound like a fun person. And your brothers sound hilarious. And your sisters sound about as meddling as my military brothers. I guess we have some shit in common after all.

Anyway, I’m sorry about the mix-up.
