27. Father Alexander

Father Alexander

I walk into the crowded dining hall a bit late because of what happened between Celine and me. After leaving her, I went back to my room to collect myself and shower before dinner, but it took me a while to leave the room.

Nerves wracked my body knowing that I’ll be seeing her again, and in the back of my mind, I wonder if I took the punishment too far.

In the moment, I was full of pride while getting payback for her breaking that promise, but now that I’ve had time to gather myself, I fear I may have overstepped.

Once I build the courage to go to dinner, I enter the dining hall to loud conversations bouncing off the stone walls. I immediately find Celine sitting with Joanna, Bekah, and Esther. Her face is blank; she isn’t even trying to keep up with the conversation, but then her eyes lift and find me.

Her mouth curves into a sly smile, causing her face to brighten.

I don’t fight the smirk that tugs at my lips.

I guess my worry was for nothing, because the expression on her face right now tells me what happened was okay, and she enjoyed it.

And it makes my body ignite with excitement at the idea of getting her alone again.

I continue walking toward the back of the dining hall, stopping to grab a plate and pile some food on. Once satisfied, I take my usual seat next to Father Keaton and feel Celine’s eyes on my face.

When I glance in her direction, her eyes remain on me as she lifts a spoonful of food to her mouth and pushes it past her lips. Wrapping her mouth around the utensil, she sucks off whatever was on it, and her eyes roll back in pleasure.

Shifting in my seat, my body begins to hum, and it begs for her mouth to suck me like that again. The grip I have on my fork tightens as she tediously pulls the utensil from her mouth and then flattens her tongue against the back of the spoon.

Is she trying to get me hard during dinner? Because it’s working.

I can’t get enough of her, and she knows it. Doesn’t matter how many times I have her. I will always want more. She’s my new favorite drug. And I’m addicted.

My jaw ticks, and the little restraint that I had holding me back from finding her earlier today is about to snap.

Air comes out heavily through my nose as my teeth grind together.

A wicked grin spreads across her face as she returns to the conversation with the other women.

She isn’t listening, this I know, but she does a damn good job at pretending.

Throughout dinner, I observe her. Whenever Father Keaton isn’t speaking to me and was turned the other way to talk with Sister Alice, my eyes were on Celine. She ignores me the rest of dinner, which pisses me off because how can she tease me like that and then pretend that I don’t even exist?

When the food was cleared from her plate, she got up without a glance in my direction and strutted out of the dining hall. Ten minutes pass before I can’t take it anymore. I need her again.

Excusing myself, I roam around the halls until I find her in the library. She stands at the center-island shelf in the middle of the room, dusting books. Quietly, I enter and slide my hands over her waist. Celine’s mouth falls open with a light intake of breath as my lips meet her neck.

“Did you enjoy teasing me? Was that your form of payback for what happened earlier?” I whisper into her ear.

“It was a little fun to see you get so tense and worked up like that.” From this angle, I can see a proud grin on her face.

She continues to clean, and I can’t stand that she isn’t looking at me. I miss the way she makes me feel when her eyes are on mine, which causes me to grab her chin and steal her attention away from the book in her hands.

Her watercolor eyes stare into my soul, and it causes my breath to falter. I’ve never seen a woman as beautiful as her, and I can’t believe I’m so lucky even to be able to touch her right now.

“Sister Greta is in her office, ” she warns me in a soft tone.

I lift my gaze in the direction of the office. She is hard of hearing to begin with, but I lower my voice as my gaze drops to Celine. “Well, isn’t that fortunate for you.”

“So you won’t be punishing me again or finishing what you started?”

The idea of me finishing what happened earlier flashes through my head. The image of her mouth open, calling out for me, wanting more. But she needed to be taught a lesson. Walking away and leaving her like that was unlike me.

I love getting women off. But this woman does something to me. She makes me want to do things I’ve never done before. And I feel a rush just thinking about what I want to do to her; how I want to punish her every time she misbehaves.

She smirks, knowing exactly what I’m thinking about.

I exhale a long breath before I admit, “Do you know how bad I wanted to bend you over the dining table and punish you for teasing me like that?”

Her tongue darts out to wet her lips, and she quietly asks, “What would you have done?”

I stroke my thumb along her cheek. “I would have lifted your dress and spanked you until your ass was raw.”

She draws in a sharp breath. “I guess I’m lucky that there were people around.”

I hum, my eyes falling to her lips. “That you are.”

“If Sister Greta wasn’t in her office, would you have done it here?” Her question draws my focus to her hopeful gaze. The sight of her being excited about a punishment has my chest fluttering.

“Yes,” I respond, because I know I wouldn’t be able to stop myself.

I turn her face away from me so that I can drop my lips to her ear.

“And then I would have brought you to the edge of an orgasm multiple times only to deny you that release in the end. Because that’s what will keep happening if you keep misbehaving, little sin. ”

Her body stiffens against mine. “That’s very cynical of you, Father.”

“I’d pay for it later.” The tip of my nose coasts across her temple, and my eyes raise to a shuffling noise coming from the office in the back.

Removing my hands from Celine, although it kills me to, I take a step back to distance myself from her just as Sister Greta staggers from her office.

“Hello, Sister Greta.”

When she looks at me, she doesn’t smile or scowl. You can never read the woman. “Father Alexander, it is good to see you.”

“Hi, Sister Greta.” Celine makes herself known.

Sister Greta moves her eyes from mine to Celine and hums. “Can’t believe you are still here.”

“I told you I’m not going anywhere.” Celine stands her ground. “By the end of this, you and I are going to be best friends.”

“Lovely,” Sister Greta says with thick sarcasm. “I’m done for the night. If you don’t mind cleaning up my office.”

“Will do. Have a good night, Sister.” Celine’s tone is almost too cheerful for Sister Greta’s liking because all the old woman does is grunt in response. When she leaves us alone, Celine turns to face me. “I’ll break through to her.”

“I have no doubt you will. I mean, look at me. I broke.”

“Yeah, but you are getting something from me.” She leans against the shelf and folds her arms over her chest. “Sister Greta is only getting a clean library out of this.”

“And a friendship,” I point out.

“Whether she likes it or not.”

“Is that what I am getting? A friendship?” I take a step towards her.

“Among other things.” She shrugs. “We are alone now.”

“We are.”

“Will you be punishing me now?” There is a shine to her eyes as she asks the question.

“As much as I want to, that is not the reason I tracked you down.” I stand in front of her, reaching to mess with the fabric of her dress. “I wanted to talk to you.”

“You changed your mind, didn’t you?” She shrinks back into herself, the light dimming from her eyes.

“No, I didn’t change my mind, but I’m going to visit my mom,” I reassure her.

“Oh, that’s good, Alex!” My cheeks flush at the sound of my name falling from her lips.

“I talk to her on the phone from time to time, but it’s been a while since I’ve seen her.” I rub the back of my neck. “Kind of feeling guilty.”

“I’m sure she understands the commitment you’ve made and why you can’t come home all the time.”

The commitment I made. The same one I broke for Celine.

“Yeah. She doesn’t even know I’m coming. I want it to be a surprise.”

Celine pokes at my chest. “Son of the year.”

I smile and catch her wrist in my hand, and let my lips meet the tip of her finger. “Are you going to stay out of trouble while I’m gone?”

Her mouth twists as her head bobs back and forth while thinking of her answer. “How long will you be gone?”

“I’m leaving tomorrow morning and will be back on Tuesday.”

“I could definitely find something to get into,” she teases.

“Celine,” I warn, dropping her hand from mine.

“I’m just kidding! I don’t plan on doing anything bad.” She breathes out a frustrated sigh. “Especially since I want to get out of this place.”

The question is on the tip of my tongue: what happens when you leave here?

But I don’t ask it because what is happening between us probably isn’t serious to her. Plus, I’m already freaking out as it is with the doubts of priesthood running wild in my head; I don’t want to cause her to pull away from me.

“Father Keaton will probably have someone else keep their eyes on you while I’m away.”

“Does he still think I am going to make a run for it?”

“Who knows?” I lift my shoulders. “In the beginning, he asked me to keep an eye on you in case you ran, and he hasn’t asked me to back off.”

“I never minded you watching me,” she says with a subtle amusement, but then it fades.

“I was never going to run, by the way. Sure, I thought about it, but if I did, then what? My parents would be even more pissed at me. They’d track me down and probably throw me back in here. What would the point have been?”

I sit on this for a minute before I remember something she told me a while ago. “You don’t want to be here because you were tricked into coming.”
